  • Environmental awareness- factor affecting creditworthiness of a firm

    Nowadays every firm is confronted with severe environmental conditions and therefore with increased environmental risks and demands. Being at the same time business and social entity a firm should ... develop social and ecological responsibility. The last one could be demonstrated in the stage or level of environmental awareness. Influencing the so called ecological profile of a firm it has become one of main factors affecting creditworthiness of a firm. Besides the increasing importance of the environmental awareness in the context of contemporary creditworthiness of a firm the authors emphasise some issues regarding its assessment. The paper suggests some possible approaches to improve the methodology of creditworthiness assessment by taking into account the ecological dimension.
