  • Study of modified heterogeneous plastics waste : effects of processing conditions

    Many problems are associated with reprocessing of plastics waste. Very often, plastics waste is a mixture of several polymers which need to be separated in order to assure good properties and quality ... of recycled polymers. Compatibilization (the addition of suitable chosen block copolymers) can be very perspective technique, primarily in recycling of heterogeneous (mixed) plastics waste. The influence of different processing condition on the profile of the mechanical properties for heterogeneous recycled polyethylene and polystyrene blends was studied.
