  • Turizem na kmetiji v Sloveniji – kako se tradicionalna dopolnilna dejavnost sooča s spremembami v kmetijstvu in turizmu = Farm tourism in Slovenia - how a traditional subsidiary activity cope with changes in agriculture and tourism
    Lampič, Barbara
Due to the legal framework the Slovenian tourist farms are strongly connected to their own agricultural production and the local rural environment. Farm tourism as a very stable and well known ... subsidiary activity is important from the point of view of rural development and the preservation of agriculture. At the end of 2020, there were 1215 tourist farms (among 4930 farms with subsidiary activity) with a total of 1888 registered subsidiary activities in the field of tourism. It is crucial that this allows them to use various resources on the farm more efficiently and to diversify the farm income. But the rapidly changing tourist offer of the Slovenian countryside outgrows the offer of the “traditional” tourist farms which are forced to "prove" themselves in the changed conditions. Thus, tourist farms are forced to improve, supplement and update their offer and adapt to the modern expectations and standards of tourists.
