A large number of processing parameters combined with material variations pose a major challenge in estimating the fatigue life of 3D printed components. Usually, the study of fatigue properties ... consists of a large number of long-term fatigue tests. In this research, a fatigue testing method is presented in which a 3D printed focused sample is excited with a random signal near its natural frequency. The proposed approach results in significantly shorter fatigue tests due to the higher loading frequency and the ability to test multiple samples simultaneously. The proposed methodology was tested in this study using four different sets of PLA samples from the fused filament fabrication (FFF) process and provided comparable results to the available literature, while the testing time was significantly shorter. The effective testing time for a total of 106 samples that achieved high cycle fatigue was 226 hours, only.
