    Shape and depth of electrode impress could be used as indicators of weld quality at resistance spot welding, especially when galvanized and hot coated materials are welded. In that case it is ... expected that the damage to the welded surface is as little as possible. Contactless measurement method based on laser profilometry offers new possibilities for on line quality control of resistance spot welds. The principle of laser profilometry and practical application for evaluation of geometry properties of plague in dependence of the welding parameters is present.
