    We discuss the prospects of active development environment based on high level design principles. In the article we focus on design phase of development and use of design patterns. The main goal of ... the environment is to free developer from the error prone and complex process of pattern selection and application. Presented is the idea to use design patterns presented in rigorous manner as solid base for development of the environment. We will present a formal language for pattern specification which makes possible for computer system to become an active participant in development process. And we will show that use of such tool can help especially less experienced developers. They can gain a huge level of experience incorporated in design patterns.
