  • Učinki dodajanja bioencimskega in mineralnega dodatka nastilu na zniževanje emisij amoniaka pri vzreji puranov = Effects of bioenzymatic and mineral additives in bedding material on decreasing ammonia emissions in turkey breeding
    Pintarič, Štefan ; Dobeic, Martin
The subject of this research was the influence of added bioenzymatic and mineral additivs on air quality, on quality of bedding and on production results in turkey breeding. The comparison of the ... control building with the test buildings showed that the addition of the bioenzymatic and mineral additive to bedding influenced both the quality of air and bedding. In the building in which the bioenzymatic additive was added to bedding, a 12.00 % drop in ammonia release from bedding was registered. It was also found that the added bioenzymatic additive influences the quality of bedding. The temperature of the bedding grew by 7.27 %, the total nitrogen in the bedding fell on average by 32.17 %, while the nitrogen in dry substance was lowered by23.88 %. The pH of the bedding was on average 4.77 % higher than in the control building. In the building with the added mineral additive, the ammoniafrom the bedding was reduced by 17.27 %. The adding of mineral additivealso influenced the features of the bedding. Its temperature increasedby 6.29 %, the share of total nitrogen in the bedding went down by 23.98 % and the share of nitrogen in dry substance by 15.52 %. The pH of the bedding was on average 2.77 % higher. The largest influence on the emission ofammonia from bedding is exerted by the share of dry substance and nitrogen in the bedding. The influence of both parameters was highest in the control building while, in the building with mineral additive, it was hardly perceptible. By adding the bioenzymatic additive to bedding more frequently, one could achieve a larger drop in ammonia and unpleasant odour emissions. As far as the building with the added mineral additive is concerned, the non-established influences of dry substance and nitrogen in the bedding on ammonia emissions and unpleasant odours lead to the conclusion that the intervals of adding as well as the amount of the used additive were optimal.
