This article explores the historical transformation of the relationship between Chinese state authority and popular religious lives. In particular, this study examines the causes of the Northern Song ...(Bei Song 北宋, 960-1127) government`s growing interest in popular religious cults, which reflected innovative approaches toward popular religion by the New Policy reformers (Xinfadang 新法黨). The reform movement was dedicated to state-centered statecraft, and thus the reformers sought to establish official control over popular cults through a state-centered administrative system. They attempted to establish a hierarchical order throughout the spiritual realm by creating a comprehensive pantheon that combined the officially-recognized deities entered in the state register of sacrifices with local popular cults. Therefore, the Northern Song reformers` new approach toward the popular cults brought about significant changes in the relationship between the state and local religion in Chinese history.
중국 향촌사회의 민간 불교결사는 불교가 중국에 전래 된지 얼마 지나지 않은 위진남북조 시대부터 다양한 명칭으로 등장하기 시작하였다. 민간 불교결사는 불교 고유의 행사인 齋會와 중국의 전통적인 관습질서인 春秋二社의 社를 매개로 하여 형성되었다. 대단히 이질적인 성격의 두 요소들이 결합된 형태로 등장하게 되는 민간 불교결사는 당대에 이르러 국가권력의 통제 ...대상으로 주목될 정도로 크게 성장하였다. 당왕조는 처음에는 민간 결사에 대해서 금지시키려고 하였으나 이후 점차 향촌지배를 위한 수단으로서 활용되기 시작하였다.
송대에 접어들어 민간의 불교결사는 더욱 크게 확산되었고, 이는 송왕조의 종교정책과 밀접한 관련이 있었다. 교단불교에 대한 당왕조 시기의 간헐적인 탄압과는 달리 송왕조는 체계적이고 지속적인 통제정책 즉 승려에 대한 도첩의 발행과 불교 사찰에 대한 사액을 통해서 단불교를 적극적으로 통제하였다. 송왕조의 불교 통제 정책으로 인하여 교단불교는 그 교세가 정체 내지는 축소된 반면에 국가의 통제에서 벗어나 있었던 민간의 불교결사는 당시 상업의 발전으로 인한 기층사회의 발전과 더불어 더욱 크게 활성화되었다.
주로 조상기나 몇몇 중요한 승려들에 대한 기록들을 통해서 부분적인 모습만 알 수 있었던 민간불교결사는 송대에 이르러 다양한 자료를 통해서 그 구체적인 모습을 살펴볼 수 있게 되었다. 비록 송조정은 민간불교결사에 대해서 그 탈법적인 측면을 경계하고 있었지만, 『夷堅志』와 같은 새로운 형식의 자료들은 민간불교결사가 일반대중들에게 막대한 영향을 끼치고 있었음을 전해주고 있다. 특히 송대에 이르면 이전에 비해서 규모가 크게 확대된 형태의 민간결사들이 등장하기 시작하였고, 국가권력은 이러한 대규모 민간결사의 위험성에 대해서 부정적인 이미지를 덧씌우면서 통제하려고 노력하였다.
비록 중국의 민간불교결사는 전통적인 시각에서 대체로 부정적으로 묘사되고 있지만, 이는 국가권력의 입장이 강하게 반영된 것이었다. 반면에 여러 다른 사료들을 통해서 볼 때, 그 실제적인 모습은 상당히 평화로운 종교적 모임이었을 것으로 추정된다. 결국 중국 향촌 사회의 관습적인 질서 속에 강력한 기반을 갖고 있었던 민간의 불교결사는 국가의 지속적이고 체계적인 통제 속에서도 더욱 크게 번성하였던 것이다. The lay Buddhist societies in Chinese local communities are originated both from the traditional Buddhist rituals like upavasatha(齋會) and from the traditional folk religious practices like the spring and autumn festivals(春秋二社). The lay societies of Buddhism had been formed even when the Buddhism was first introduced into the China. However, they had been clearly shown in the historical documents since the Wei-Jin-Nanbeichao(魏晉南北朝). The lay societies gathered to have religious events such as chanting Buddhist prayers or presenting offerings to Buddha. In addition, they sometimes raised funds for building the Buddhist Statues or inscribing Buddhist texts on the stone stele.
In the early period of the history of the Buddhist societies, most of them were led and assembled by Buddhist monks or Buddhist monasteries. However, the societies led mostly by lay people began to be overwhelmed from the Tang period. When the Great Anti-Buddhist Persecution of Huichang(會昌廢佛)(845) occurred, the institutional Buddhism(敎團佛敎) took the brunt of sharp decrease of Buddhist clergies and temples, while the lay societies in the local communities were scarcely affected and even became more prosperous.
Song dynasty aimed to fully control the Buddhism through bestowing the official plaques or issuing the identification cards of monks which is official permit to become a monk (nun) and join a monastery. As a result, the monasteries and monks of the institutional Buddhism were systematically controlled. At that time, however, since the lay people enthusiastically involved themselves in the Buddhist ritual practices, the lay Buddhist societies could attract a large amount of believers and grow up to be major religious groups.
The Chinese Dynasties had conventionally taken a stand against the popular religious assemblies like the lay Buddhist societies. However, the lay Buddhist societies had actually been neither the rebellious secret societies nor the licentious assemblies. In addition, they had peacefully coexisted with the state power at all times. Although the state power had assailed the lay Buddhist societies with a negative stereotyping of the societies, we need to take a true perspective on them beyond the face value of the historical documents, which were mainly written with conventional perspectives. 생물비료(Biofertilizer)는 유용 미생물을 활용하여 식물의성장의 촉진하고 생산량 증대에 도움을 주는 비료의 일종이다. 본 연구에서는 유기농 콩 토양 근권 및 뿌리 혹에서 분포하는 미생물을 동정하여 식물 생장 촉진 활성, 질소고정 능력을확인하고자 하였다. 분리된 균주 들 중, N6 (Bacillus cereus)과N48 (Neobacillus ...mesonae)이 식물 생장 촉진 인자인 ACC deaminase와 IAA 생산 능력이 가장 높은 균주로 각각 확인되었다. 불용성 인산 가용화능은 N23 (Bacillus altitudinis) 균주가가장 높았다. 유기농 콩 토양 뿌리 혹에서 분리한 N57 (Enterobacter asburiae) 균주는 가장 높은 질소 고정 효과가 나타나는것을 관찰하였다. 이들 균주들의 최적 성장 조건을 확인하기위하여, 다양한 온도(23, 30, 35°C)와 pH (3, 5, 7, 9) 조건에서미생물의 최대 성장 값을 비교하였다. 그 결과, N6, N23은25°C, N48, N57은 35°C의 조건에서, 그리고 pH는 7에서 모든미생물이 최대 성장 값을 가지는 것으로 관찰되었다. 따라서, 최적 성장 조건인 35°C와 pH 7에서 식물 생장 촉진 활성과 질소고정 능력을 확인한 결과, 30°C와 pH 7의 성장 조건 보다 N6 는 ACC deaminase 생성능을 약 1.2배, N23은 IAA 생산능을약 4배, N57은 질소고정 능력을 약 1.6배 증대시키는 것을 관찰할 수 있었다. 또한, 4개의 균주를 혼합하여 식물 생장 촉진활성 및 질소고정 능력을 관찰한 결과 개별 균주가 가진 활성도 보다 높은 효과를 나타내는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서, 본연구 결과를 통하여 식물 생장 촉진을 위하여 단일 균주를 처리하는 것 보다 혼합 균주를 처리하는 것이 식물 생장 촉진 및질소고정 능력을 증대시킬 수 있다는 결과를 도출할 수 있었다. 따라서, 이러한 결과는 혼합된 균주를 사용하는 생물비료가 개별 균주보다 식물 생장 효율을 더 높일 수 있다는 가능성을 제시한다. Biofertilizer is a type of fertilizer that uses beneficial microorganisms to enhance plant growth and increase production. In this study, plant growth promoting bacteria and nitrogen fixation bacteria were isolated from organic soybean soil.
Among them, the plant growth promoting bacteria with highest activities for 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC) deaminase, indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) production, and insoluble phosphate solubilization were selected. N6 (Bacillus cereus) and N48 (Neobacillus mesonae) have the highest production abilities of ACC deaminase and IAA production, respectively. N23 (Bacillus altitudinis) has the highest ability to solubilize insoluble phosphate. N57 (Enterobacter asburiae) isolated from soybean root nodules showed the highest nitrogen fixation ability. The maximum growth values of microorganisms were compared under various temperature (23–35°C) and pH (3–9) conditions. As a result, N6 and N23 showed the highest maximum growth value at 25°C, while N48 and N57 showed the highest maximum growth value at 35°C. Additionally, pH 7 was the optimal growth condition for four microorganisms.
Under optimal growth conditions (35°C and pH 7), the ACC deaminase production of N6, IAA production of N23 and nitrogen fixation ability of N57 were approximately 1.2, 4 and 1.6 times higher, respectively, compared to the previous conditions (30°C and pH 7). Furthermore, the mixed strains showed enhanced plant growth promoting activity and nitrogen fixation ability more effectively than the individual strains.
Therefore, these results suggest the possibility that biofertilizers using mixed strains may increase plant growth efficiency more than individual strains. KCI Citation Count: 0
