The published during last few years data concerning communicative role of lectins (proteins and their complexes which recognize carbohydrates, glycoconjugates and their patterns) in on-duty ...supporting and increasing anticancer status of human immunity are analyzed. Examples of lectin-(glycoconjugate pattern) strategies, approaches and tactic variants in study and development of anticancer treatments, principle variants of therapy, possible vaccines in 35 cases of blood connected tumors (leukemia, lymphomas, others), solid tumors (carcinomas, sarcoma, cancers of vaginal biotopes, prostate, bladder, colon, other intestinal compartments, pancreas, liver, kidneys, others) and cancer cell lines are described and systemized. The list of mostly used communicative lectins (pattern recognition receptors, their soluble forms, other soluble lectins possessing specificities of importance) involving in key intercellular cascades and pathway co-functioning is presented. The regulation of resulting expression of distinct active lectins (available and hetero/di/oligomeric forms) and their interaction to adequate glycoconjugate patterns as well as influence distribution of co-functioning lectins and antigens CD between populations and subpopulations of antigen-presented cells (dendritic cells cDC, mDC, moDC, pDC; macrophages M2 and M1), mucosal M-cells, NK-cells play key role for choice and development of anticancer complex procedures increasing innate and innate-coupled immune responses. Prospects of (receptor lectin)-dependent intercellular communications and targeting glycoconjugate constructions into innate immunity cells for therapy of cancer and development of anticancer vaccines are evaluated and discussed.
•Magnetic properties of undeformed and plastically deformed of eutectoid steels are measured.•Comparison of the magnetic properties of eutectoid steels is carried out.•The features of magnetic ...incremental permeability curves are defined.•The residual stresses (I type) are estimated by original magnetic technic and X-ray diffraction.•The certification of the microstructures of eutectoid steels was carried.
Measurements of magnetic properties, as well as microscopic and X-ray diffraction investigations, of eutectoid steels with the structure of spheroidized and of coarse lamellar pearlite after cold plastic deformation by tension have been carried out. The steel with the coarse lamellar pearlite was unexpectedly found to have a lower coercivity than the steel with the spheroidized pearlite. With growing elongation, the coercivity of the steels with various pearlite morphologies grows, whereas the remanence and maximal magnetic permeability decrease. At an elongation more than 0.7%, the remanence and maximum magnetic permeability become almost equal. The difference in the coercivity of eutectoid steel with various pearlite morphology raises with elongation growth. The main changes in magnetic properties occur prior to elongations of 2–4%. The magnetoelastic fields Hσ were calculated from the field dependences of the magnetic incremental permeability and the residual compressive stresses, estimated. It is found that the average residual stresses are −222 MPa for steel with the spheroidized pearlite and −349 MPa for steel with the lamellar pearlite. According to the results of X-ray diffraction analysis, the values of residual stresses are −251 MPa and –342 MPa for steels with the spheroidized and lamellar pearlite, respectively.
In order to evaluate the efficiency of the catalytic aquathermolysis process, physical modeling was carried out on bituminous sediments of Paleocene–Miocene carbonate rocks, characterized by the ...presence of open and closed fractures. In this context, three filtration experiments were performed on an unextracted reservoir model with extra-viscous oil (EVO). Prior to the experiments, the mineral composition of the rock was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and the content of organic matter and coking products was determined before and after the experiment by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) as well as the group composition of oil (SARA) before and after the experiment by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), gas composition at the fluid separation line, and oil displacement coefficient (ODC). The results of the conducted experiments show that the efficiency of displacement of extraviscous oil could be significantly increased by the use of a solvent and the combined use of a solvent and a catalyst (+9.3% and +17.1% of the oil displacement coefficient, respectively), which is associated with the processes of oil refining.
Characteristics of clonal composition of Corynebacterium diphtheriae strain population in Russia using MLST, as well as evaluation of a possibility of using of this method during execu- tion of ...monitoring of diphtheria infection causative agent strains.
C. diph- theriae strains, isolated in Russia in 1957 - 2015 and sent to Gabrichevsky MRIEM reference centre for diphtheria and pertussis, were studied. Gentyping of C. diphtheriae using MLST was carried out based on sequencing of <> gene fragments. ST identification was carried out according to PubMLST Result. C. diphtheriae strains of 36 sequence-types (ST) were identi- fied on the territory of Russia - 27 previously known and 9 novel, detected for the first time. 2 sequence types ST25 and ST8 (22% and 18%) dominated. Inter-relation between phenotype. properties (toxigenicity. and biovar) and membership of C. diphtheriae strains in certain sequence- types was shown - toxigenic and non-toxigenic C. diphtheriae strains of various biovars were characterized by certain sequence-types. Changes of clonal composition of C. diphtheriae popula- tion in dynamics of epidemic process of diphtheria infection were.shown.
Use of MLST allowed to characterized clonal composition of C. diphtheriae strains' population in Russia and has shown perspectives of use of this method to characterize population of diphtheria causative agent, detect epidemically significant strains and decipher foci of diphtheria infection.
The SRC/BM@N experiment was carried out in the 55th run of the Nuclotron using a liquid hydrogen target and a carbon beam with a kinetic energy of about 3.1 GeV/n. We propose to analyze the ...experimental data to search for a quasi-bound state of

The SCAN-3 spectrometer has been upgraded to the three-arm configuration. A new arm was added to the spectrometer in 2022. The arm represents a setup of six multilayer neutron detectors orientated ...under 90 deg to other arms. The main aim of the additional arm is the determination of background components of the studied processes with the registration of correlated pairs by the time-of-flight method (TOF). Moreover by the SCAN-3 spectrometer will be studied

Physiological aging, ischemia, and progressive cardiac hypertrophy can affect the contractile function and calcium homeostasis of cardiomyocytes. The goal of this study was to investigate the ...calcium-accumulating capacity of the sarcoplasmic reticulum in conditions of chronic myocardial ischemia in rats of different ages. The experiments were performed on 60 male rats of three ages: 4, 12, and 24 months. Each age group included 10 control (sham-operated) and 10 experimental animals, which had simulated postinfarction cardiosclerosis (PICS) by coronary occlusion. The state of intracellular calcium homeostasis was assessed by performing a post-rest test on muscle strips from the papillary muscles of the left ventricle of the heart. It was shown that with an increasing age of animals, the strength of the contractile response of muscle strips following the rest period decreases. Postinfarction myocardial remodeling in rats aged 4 and 12 months leads to degradation of the post-rest contractile response. Muscle strips of 24-month-old PICS rats exhibited post-rest potentiation at the level of sham-operated controls in the age group.
The objective of the study was to assess the impact of DM2 at baseline on long-term mortality after acute myocardial infarction (MI) among different age groups. The data were taken from: “Register of ...Acute Myocardial Infarction.” A total of 862 patients were followed for five years after acute myocardial infarction. The primary endpoint was death from any cause. The patients were categorized into 2 groups based on their ages: group 1—comprised patients older than working age (n=358) and group 2—comprised employable patients (n=504). A total of 208 patients were diagnosed with both cardiovascular disease and DM2. Elderly patients with DM2 had worse prognosis and increased five-year mortality compared with patients of the same age group without DM2. Statistically significant differences in long-term outcomes were found in adult patients (p=0.004) only in group with longer duration of diabetes, unlike the group with DM2 onset. In conclusion, Type 2 DM increased 5-year mortality rate of elderly patients with myocardial infarction. However, younger patients with both myocardial infarction and DM2 had more complications in the early post-MI period compared with patients of the same age group without DM2 but did not show any statistically significant differences in the long-term outcome.
