The purpose of the research is to give the effectiveness and safety of ticagrelor in combination with acetylsalicylic acid as preoperative treatment of primary stenting in patients with ACS. We have ...investigated 42 patients with ACS, 3 of which were diagnosed with cardiogenic shock, age from 38 to 82 years (63 ± 6.5 years). The ACS diagnosis was verified using the results of the ECG, a troponin test and x-ray contrast coronary angiography. The purpose of preoperative antiplatelet treatment prior to primary PCI ticagrelor was administered in the dose of 180 mg and aspirin at a dose of 200 mg. Emergency coronary angiography and primary PCI was performed 15-90 minutes from the time of diagnosis. TIMI III flow in the infarct-related coronary arteries was achieved in all patients. None of the patients the phenomenon of "No-Reflow" has not developed. The appointment of the antiplatelet drug ticagrelor before primary PCI contributes to the achievement of full blood flow restoration in the infarct-related coronary artery, and also reduces the risk of intraoperative and postoperative complications.
The aim of this study was to assess the feasibility of first-pass contrast-enhanced renal MR angiography (MRA) at 7Â T. In vivo first-pass contrast-enhanced high-field examinations were obtained in ...eight healthy subjects on a 7-T whole-body MRI. A custom-built body transmit/receive radiofrequency (RF) coil and RF system suitable for RF shimming were used for image acquisition. For dynamic imaging, gadobutrol was injected intravenously and coronal unenhanced, arterial and venous data sets using a T1-weighted spoiled gradient-echo sequence were obtained. Qualitative image analysis and assessment of artefact impairment were performed by two senior radiologists using a five-point scale (5 = excellent, 1 = non-diagnostic). SNR and CNR of the perirenal abdominal aorta and both main renal arteries were assessed. Qualitative image evaluation revealed overall high-quality delineation of all assessed segments of the unenhanced arterial vasculature (mean^sub unenhanced^ 4.13). Nevertheless, the application of contrast agent revealed an improvement in vessel delineation of all the vessel segments assessed, confirmed by qualitative (mean^sub unenhanced^ 4.13 to mean^sub contrast-enhanced^ 4.85) and quantitative analysis (SNR mean^sub unenhanced^ 64.3 to mean^sub contrast-enhanced^ 98.4). This study demonstrates the feasibility and current constraints of ultra-high-field contrast-enhanced renal MRA relative to unenhanced MRA. âeuro¢ First-pass contrast-enhanced renal MRA at 7Â T is technically feasible. âeuro¢ Unenhanced renal MRA offers inherent hyperintense delineation of renal arterial vasculature. âeuro¢ Contrast media application improves vessel assessment of renal arteries at 7Â T. PUBLICATION ABSTRACT
Basic optical properties of the new nonlinear crystal BiB3O6 (BIBO) are measured for second harmonic generation (SHG) of 1064 nm radiation. These properties include the effective nonlinearities for ...different phase matching orientations, the corresponding acceptance bandwidths and the optical losses. Effective nonlinearities of up to 3.2 pm/V ( Delta *q=90?, Delta *c=-11?) and losses of less than 0.1%/cm at 1064 nm indicate that BIBO is a promising new nonlinear crystal for SHG of 1064 nm radiation. A two-dimensional measurement with high spatial resolution of the SHG efficiency and the optical homogeneity, clearly demonstrate the high optical quality of BIBO crystals now available.
A design system has been developed which is able to design transconductance amplifiers, operational amplifiers, low-noise BIMOS amplifiers, voltage and current references, quartz oscillators, ...comparators, and oversampled A/D converters including their digital decimation filter starting from building-block and technology specifications. This design system, called Interactive Design for Analog Circuits (IDAC), is able to size a library of analog schematics (actually more than 40) as a function of technology (p-well and n-well CMOS) and desired building-block specifications. IDAC also generates a complete data sheet, an input file for SPICE2, and an input file for the analog layout program ILAC.
The increasing spread of high-field and ultra-high-field MRI scanners encouraged a new discussion on safety aspects of MRI examinations. Earlier studies report altered acoustically evoked potentials. ...This finding was not able to be confirmed in later studies. In the present study transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) was used to evaluate whether motor cortical excitability may be altered following MRI examination even at field strength of 1.5 T.
In 12 right-handed male volunteers individual thresholds for motor responses and then the length of the post-excitatory inhibition (silent period) were determined. Subsequently the volunteers were examined in the MRI scanner (Siemens Avanto, 1.5 T) for 63 minutes using gradient and spin echo sequences. MRI examination was immediately followed by another TMS session and a third 10 minutes later. As a control condition, the 12 subjects spent one hour in the scanner without examination and one hour on a couch without the presence of a scanner.
After MRI examination, the silent period was significantly lengthened in all 12 subjects and then tended to the initial value after 10 min. Motor thresholds were significantly elevated and then normalized after 10 minutes. No significant effects were found in the control conditions.
MRI examination leads to a transient effect on motor cortical excitability indicated by elongation of the post-excitatory inhibition and to an increase in motor thresholds in some subjects. These effects do not seem to be associated with a static magnetic field.

Abstract: Phytase production by submerged fermentation (SmF) and solid state fermentation (SSF) using Aspergillus ficuum DSM 932 in agro-waste-based culture media is described here. Phytase enzyme activity was used for the indirect measurement of enzyme production. Fermentation was carried out in SmF, pH 5.3 at 25 ºC with two fermenters having different volumes; the largest one had different levels of aeration and agitation. Petri dishes were used for SSF at 25 °C. A cereal-based medium obtained the best net activity (0.25 FTU mL-1) for SmF on the sixth day at 300 rpm at 0.5 vvm. Canola cake was the best substrate for SSF, having maximum net phytase activity on the third day: 6.79 FTU mL-1 extract, equivalent to 33.96 FTU g-1 solid substrate or 56.43 FTU g-1 dry substrate. A phytase extract was concentrated from an SmF-based medium in cereals by applying membrane technologies. A phytase extract produced in SSF with canola cakes was purified 6.33 times using three consecutive diafiltrations of the 100 kDa retentate. A. ficuum DSM 932 phytase was ≥ 100 kDa in size.

ATM (asynchronous transfer mode) is an international telecommunications standard designed for broadband integrated services; it is also well-suited for use within local-area networks. ATM LANs can ...provide the networking support needed for multimedia communication at rates of 100 Mbits/sec and higher. The authors first analyze the protocol processing required to handle ATM communication. Based on this analysis, they then discuss the architectural issues in the design of host interfaces for ATM local-area networks. In particular, they conclude that a simple host interface, which leaves most of the ATM protocol processing to be done by the host computer, supports good performance for data communication (around 100 Mbits/sec). However, to support real-time video and audio communication, the ATM interface should include an embedded processor.< >
