The decay
$ B_c^{+}\to {J \left/ {{\psi {K^{+}}} \right.} $
is observed for the first time using a data sample, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb
−1
, collected by the ...LHCb experiment in
pp
collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. A yield of 46 ± 12 events is reported, with a significance of 5.0 standard deviations. The ratio of the branching fraction of
$ B_c^{+}\to {J \left/ {{\psi {K^{+}}} \right.} $
to that of
$ B_c^{+}\to {J \left/ {{\psi {\pi^{+}}} \right.} $
is measured to be 0.069 ± 0.019 ± 0.005, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic.
The first measurement of the effective lifetime of the $\bar{B}_s^0$ meson in the decay $\bar{B}_s^0\to D_s^-D_s^+$ is reported using a proton-proton collision dataset, corresponding to an integrated ...luminosity of 3 fb$^{-1}$, collected by the LHCb experiment. The measured value of the $\bar{B}_s^0\to D_s^-D_s^+$ effective lifetime is $1.379\pm0.026\pm0.017$ ps, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. This lifetime translates into a measurement of the decay width of the light $\bar{B}_s^0$ mass eigenstate of \Gamma_L$=0.725\pm0.014\pm0.009$ ps$^{-1}$. The $\bar{B}_s^0$ lifetime is also measured using the flavor-specific $\bar{B}_s^0\to D^-D_s^+$ decay to be $1.52\pm0.15\pm0.01 {\rm ps}$.

The charmless decays B±→K± π+ π- and B±→K± K+ K- are reconstructed using data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb(-1), collected by LHCb in 2011. The inclusive charge asymmetries of ...these modes are measured as ACP(B±→K± π+ π-)=0.032±0.008 (stat)±0.004 (syst)±0.007(J/ψK±) and ACP(B±→K± K+ K-)=-0.043±0.009 (stat)±0.003 (syst)±0.007(J/ψK±), where the third uncertainty is due to the CP asymmetry of the B±→J/ψK± reference mode. The significance of ACP(B±→K± K+ K-) exceeds three standard deviations and is the first evidence of an inclusive CP asymmetry in charmless three-body B decays. In addition to the inclusive CP asymmetries, larger asymmetries are observed in localized regions of phase space.
We present a measurement of form-factor independent angular observables in the decay \mbox{$B^0\to K^{*}(892)^{0}\mu^+ \mu^-$}. Prompt production of charmonium $\chi_{c0}$, $\chi_{c1} and $\chi_{c2}$ mesons is studied using proton-proton collisions at the LHC at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=7$TeV. The $\chi_{c}$ ...mesons are identified through their decay to $J/\psi\gamma$, with $J/\psi\to\mu^+\mu^-$ using photons that converted in the detector. First observation of the decay Bs -> D0bar phi is reported using pp collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0 fb^-1, collected by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy ...of 7 TeV. The significance of the signal is 6.2 standard deviations. The branching fraction is measured relative to that of the decay Bs -> D0bar K*0bar to be 0.069 +/- 0.013 (stat) +/- 0.007 (syst). The first measurement of the ratio of branching fractions for the decays Bs -> D0bar K*0bar and Bd->D0bar K*0 is found to be 7.8 +/- 0.7 (stat) +/- 0.3 (syst) +/- 0.6 (f_s/f_d), where the last uncertainty is due to the ratio of the Bs and Bd fragmentation fractions.
The decay $B_c\rightarrow J/\psi K^+ K^- \pi^+$ is observed for the first time, using proton-proton collisions collected with the LHCb detector corresponding to an integrated luminosity of ...3fb$^{-1}$. A signal yield of $78\pm14$ decays is reported with a significance of 6.2 standard deviations. The ratio of the branching fraction of $\B_c \rightarrow J/\psi K^+ K^- \pi^+$ decays to that of $B_c \rightarrow J/\psi \pi^+$ decays is measured to be $0.53\pm 0.10\pm0.05$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic.
The differential branching fraction of the decay $\Lambda_b^0\rightarrow\Lambda\mu^+\mu^-$ is measured as a function of the square of the dimuon invariant mass, $q^2$. A yield of $78\pm12$ ...$\Lambda_b^0\rightarrow\Lambda\mu^+\mu^-$ decays is observed using data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.0\,fb$^{-1}$, collected by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of 7\,TeV. A significant signal is found in the $q^2$ region above the square of the $J/\psi$ mass, while at lower-$q^2$ values upper limits are set on the differential branching fraction. Integrating the differential branching fraction over $q^2$, while excluding the $J/\psi$ and $\psi(2S)$ regions, gives a branching fraction of $\BF($\Lambda_b^0\rightarrow\Lambda\mu^+\mu^-$)=(0.96\pm 0.16\stat\pm 0.13\syst\pm 0.21 (\mathrm{norm}))\times 10^{-6}$, where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic and due to the normalisation mode, $$\Lambda_b^0\rightarrow J/psi\Lambda$, respectively.
