Resumo: O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito dietário da selenometionina sobre a histopatologia do fígado de tilápia-do-nilo (Oreochromis niloticus). A selenometionina foi adicionada à ...dieta-base (sem suplementação) nas doses de 0,25, 0,50, 1,0 e 1,50 mg kg-1, que consistiram em cinco tratamentos, com quatro repetições. Após 90 dias de experimento, foi observada degeneração lipídica no fígado dos animais que receberam a dieta sem suplementação, o que indica deficiência de selênio. No entanto, os animais que receberam acima de 1,0 mg kg-1 apresentaram hipertrofia, acúmulo de glicogênio, desarranjo cordonal, focos de necrose e degeneração lipídica no fígado. A incorporação de selênio é essencial para a nutrição de tilápias-do-nilo; porém, níveis acima de 1,0 mg kg-1 de selenometionina prejudicam o metabolismo hepático.
O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o desempenho e a sanidade da estrutura hepática de tilápia-do-nilo, masculinizada hormonalmente ou não masculinizada, criada em tanques-rede com dois níveis ...proteicos. Tilápias-do-nilo da linhagem Tailandesa (total de 2.400), com peso médio inicial de 127 g, foram distribuídas em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, com quatro tratamentos, em arranjo fatorial 2×2, correspondente aos grupos de tilápias masculinizadas hormonalmente ou não masculinizadas e ao teor proteico na dieta de 28 ou 32% de proteína bruta, com três repetições. Após 115 dias de alimentação, não houve interação entre os fatores quanto a peso final, ganho de peso, conversão alimentar, comprimento final e sobrevivência. Não houve diferença entre os peixes masculinizados hormonalmente e os não masculinizados, quanto a peso final, ganho de peso e sobrevivência, o que mostra a possibilidade de sua produção em tanques-rede, sem a necessidade de masculinização hormonal. A proteína bruta a 32% na dieta possibita melhor desempenho para ambos os grupos. Alterações histológicas no fígado - como o incremento do volume das células, o desarranjo da disposição cordonal e o aumento de vesículas nos hepatócitos - são encontradas nos peixes masculinizados hormonalmente e são mais acentuadas nos peixes alimentados com 32% de proteína bruta na dieta.
Resumo: Este estudo teve como objetivo avaliar as possíveis alterações histopatológicas hepática de tilápias do Nilo alimentadas com dietas contendo silagem biológica de pescado com diferentes ...concentrações protéicas. Foram utilizados 180 juvenis alimentados com dietas contendo três níveis de proteína (20, 24 and 28% PB), e duas proporções de silagem biológica (¼ e ½) durante 75 dias. Os fragementos de fígado foram fixados em Bouin e inclusos em Histosec®. Posteriorente foram cortados em microtomo com espessura de 2 a 5μm. O método utilizado para coloração foi hematoxilina/eosina e PAS. Os cortes histológicos foram analisados em microscopio de luz. O desarranjo na morfologia do fígado dos peixes alimentados com silagem biológica foi influenciado pelos altos níveis protéicos, e pelo aumento ½ de proporções de proteínas de origem animal das dietas. Foi observado que a variação dos hepatócitos está diretamente ligada com o tipo da dieta fornecida para os peixes. Nos peixes alimentados com as dietas contendo 28% PB, o fígado apresentou desarranjo da estrutura cordonal dos hepatócitos, pontos de necrose e deslocamento do núcleo para periferia. Níveis elevados de silagem biológica de pescado provoca alterações deletérias no fígado. O nível de proteína adequado para manter o desenvolvimento associado à saúde do peixe é de 24%PB.

) + saflufenacil (42, 84, and 168 g ha

) were applied firstly; and 75 days after treatment (DAT), glyphosate (1,680 g ha
−1
) was applied as a follow-up treatment to control plant regrowth. An herbicide-free check was also used. Echhinornia crassipes was the species most susceptible to the different herbicides. Saflufenacil alone presented the lowest control on the macrophytes (≤45%) from 7 to 75 DAT, and in most cases they presented high regrowth rates, i.e., this herbicide was the least effective treatment in reducing the dry mass production of the macrophyte community. Glyphosate alone presented low efficacy to control H. coronarium (30-65%), but for the other macrophytes, it presented control peaks ≥90%, maintaining control levels ≥50% until 75 DAT. Glyphosate + saflufenacil, regardless rate of saflufenacil, caused similar damage to glyphosate in E. crassipes and P. stratiotes; however, in U. arrecta it caused 20-30% less injury. In contrast, these treatments provided the best control of H. coronarium. The complementary application of glyphosate was essential to improve the level of control of the first application, after plant regrowth.
O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a histologia e a histoquímica do intestino anterior de tilápia do Nilo alimentadas com dietas contendo farinha de peixe ou silagem de peixe como fonte de ...proteína de origem animal. A espessura da vilosidade intestinal dos peixes alimentados com silagem fermentada de resíduo de tilápia foi influenciada pelos teores proteicos, independente das proporções de proteína de origem animal das dietas. Observou-se que a variação da intensidade de secreção de glicoproteínas pelas células caliciformes está diretamente ligada com o tipo de dieta fornecida aos animais. O intestino médio de Oreochromis niloticus apresentou diferenças no padrão de secreção de muco glicoproteico neutro, glicoproteínas ácidas e glicoconjugados, dependendo da origem da proteína e da porcentagem utilizada na dieta, demonstrando que esta espécie pode adaptar seu sistema de secreção para a proteção do aparelho digestório durante a absorção de diferentes fontes proteicas.
This work was carried out to evaluate the action of the fermented fish silage and fish meal in the histochemical of the middle intestine of O. niloticus. A great epithelium intestinal was present in fishes fed with fish silage, independent of the animal origin protein proportions in diets. It was observed that the variation of the goblet cells secretion glicoproteic intensity is linked directly to the diet supplied to animals. The middle intestine of Oreochromis niloticus showed differences in the neutral mucus glicoproteic, acid glicoproteic and glicoconjugated secretion pattern, depending on the protein origin and the percentage used in the diet, demonstrating that this species can adapt its secretion system for the protection of the digesting apparatus during the absorption of different protein sources.

. Ultrastructural responses of
O. niloticus
indicated edemas and aneurisms on gills, and hepatocyte hypertrophy and vascular congestion of the liver. TMP-based formulation also induced pyknotic nuclei, which may lead to irreversible necrosis. The addition of organic sediment did not alter the larvicide toxicity, suggesting that larvicides remained available to the organisms. Altogether, these results suggest that as an insect-specific pesticide, DFB still induces mortality and tissue damage in fishes; thus, both larvicides pose risks to fishes.
Abstract P. grandiflora is a known ornamental plant with abundant flowering. The flowers exhibit varied coloration with distinct forms and simple folded petals and/or multiple. The objective of this ...work was to induce regeneration via organogenesis and in vitro flowering of P. grandiflora. Nodal segments of seedlings germinated in vitro were used as explant source for regeneration. Kinetin (KIN) and 6-Benzylaminopurine (BA) were used for the induction of organogenesis. The treatments supplemented with 1.0 and 1.5 mg L−1 BA induced the highest number of adventitious shoots with an average number of 7.0 (±1.55) e 5.4 (±0.83), respectively. The microcuttings obtained from regenerated shoots produced floral buds. The floral buds were located in the axillary and terminal regions of the microcuttings and developed in approximately 10 days of cultivation until the anthesis. The highest number of flower buds was observed in the presence of 0.75 mg L−1 of gibberellic acid. This study opens new perspectives for the establishment of biotechnological tools to be applied for this important ornamental species.
Resumo P. grandiflora é uma das plantas ornamentais com abundante floração de coloração variada com formas distintas e pétalas simples, dobradas e/ou múltiplas. O objetivo do trabalho foi induzir a regeneração pela via organogênica e o florescimento in vitro de P. grandiflora. Segmentos nodais de plântulas germinadas in vitro foram utilizados como fonte de explante para a regeneração. Cinetina (KIN) e 6-Benzilaminopurina (BA) foram utilizadas para a indução de organogênese de novo. Os tratamentos suplementados com 1.0, 1.5 mg L−1 de BA induziram a formação de maior número de brotações adventícias com número médio de 7.0 (±1,55) e 5.4 (±0.83), respectivamente. As microestacas obtidas a partir de gemas regeneradas produziram botões florais. Os botões florais localizaram-se nas regiões axilar e terminal das microestacas e desenvolveram-se em aproximadamente 10 dias de cultivo até a antese. O maior número de botões florais foi observado na presença de 0.75 mg L−1 de ácido giberélico. Este estudo abre novas perspectivas para o estabelecimento de ferramentas biotecnológicas a serem aplicadas para essa importante espécie ornamental.
