International conference was held on 21-22 August 2021 by the CGANT Research Group, University of Jember in collaboration with the Indonesian Combinatorics Society (INACOMBS). The conference welcomed participants from several countries, with a wide and variety of mathematics research of interests, in particular combinatorial research. The mission of this conference is to be an annual international forum where members of society organizations, research students, educators and researchers, writers, physicists, teachers and practitioners from all over the world can meet and exchange ideas to communicate and discuss theoretical and practical knowledge of mathematical research and its applications. The aim of the fifth conference is to present and discuss the latest research that leads to the exchange of new theoretical, analytical and scientific knowledge and to a deeper understanding of the fields of mathematics, application of mathematics, and mathematics education. The topics of this conference have been identified on the ic.cgant.unej.ac.id website.

International conference of the CGANT Research Group to be held on 22-23 August 2020 by the University of Jember in collaboration with the Indonesian Combinatorics Society (INACOMBS). The conference welcome participants from several countries, with a wide and varied variety of mathematics research interests, in particular combinatorial research. It has been an annual international conference where members of society organizations, research students, educators and researchers, writers, physicists, teachers and practitioners meet and exchange ideas to communicate and discuss theoretical and practical knowledge of mathematical research and its applications. The aim of the fourth conference is to present and discuss the latest research that leads to the exchange of new theoretical, analytical and scientific knowledge and bring it to a deeper understanding of the fields of mathematics, application of mathematics, and mathematics education. The topics of this conference have been displayed on the ic.cgant.unej.ac.id website.
The conference was undertaken in dual modes, namely virtual and face-to-face basis, either for the plenary and parallel session. We invited five speakers in the plenary session. They are from Australia, India, and Indonesia. In detail, Prof Adil Baghirov, Ph.D and Dr Joe Ryan are from Australia, Dr. M. Venkatachalam from India, and Prof. Dr. Basuki Widodo, M.Sc., and Prof. Drs. Slamin, M. Comp. Sc, Ph.D are from Indonesia. Due to the travel restriction in the Covid-19 outbreak, the speakers from abroad delivered their slide presentation virtually, as well as the participants who stay far from Jember town joined the conference virtually by using ZOOM cloud meeting. For attaching and submitting the abstract and manuscript of the conference, we use online platform, namely Easychair system. The participants who stay nearby Jember town, they joined the conference in face-to-face basis. We had 58 participants were joining in person. They were placed in two classrooms respected to the medical protocol for Covid 19. Thus, each room of 98 m

area consisted of 29 participants. The time spent for each speaker was 60 minutes, and Q/A session after plenary session was run within 30 minutes. The total number of participants was 186 people, and the number of submission received by ICCGANT 2020 committee was 147. The number of paper sent to reviewer was 105 papers, and the number of accepted submission papers is 86 papers. Thus the acceptance rate is 58.5%.
The participants of ICCGANT 2020 were a bit less than the participant of ICCGANT 2019, since this year’s conference was held coincidentally with the Covid-19 outbreak. However, the pandemic does not stop us to carry out researchers, we have been still hardly working on this job and persistently motivated the participants to finish their papers for publication. Finally, we have successfully selected some papers to be published on IOP Conference Series: Journal of Physics of 86 papers.
Furthermore, on behalf of the organizing committee, we thankfully accept the support of this conference from the University of Jember. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to all the lovely participants who have engaged in this unforgettable and important science forum.

The mission is to become an annual international forum in the future, where, civil society organization and representative, research students, academics and researchers, scholars, scientist, teachers and practitioners from all over the world could meet in and exchange an idea to share and to discuss theoretical and practical knowledge about mathematics and its applications. The aim of the first conference is to present and discuss the latest research that contributes to the sharing of new theoretical, methodological and empirical knowledge and a better understanding in the area mathematics, application of mathematics as well as mathematics education.
The present study aims to investigate the effectiveness of Research Based Learning (RBL) in improving students' learning achievement in solving two dimensional arithmetic sequence problems. The study ...applied triangulation method including qualitative and quantitative methods. The research subjects were 4th-semester students of higher education. The quantitative method was applied to analyse the learning achievement test, while the qualitative one was applied in the form of observation and interview. The collected data were analysed by using inferential statistics t-test. The result of t-test indicates that the sig (2-tailed) of independent sample t-test of pre-test is 0.853 (p>0,05), thus it is not significant. It implies the two classes are homogeneous in term of student achievement test. The data analysis of independent sample t-test of post-test, the sig (2-tailed) is 0.00 (p=<0,05), thus it is significant. It implies that the student achievement tests of two classes are different after the implementation of RBL. It shows that the students' achievement result of experimental class is better than the control class. The implementation of RBL is proven effective in improving students learning achievement in solving two-dimensional arithmetic problems.
This research study investigated the effects of Learning Together model of group learning on students' mathematics achievement and attitudes toward mathematics, and identified teachers' perception on ...the implementation of Learning Together in secondary mathematics classrooms in Natore, Bangladesh. The mood of triangulation, a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods for data collection and data analysis, was employed in the study. Data were collected using students' mathematics achievement test, attitudes toward mathematics questionnaire and teachers' interview. The independent-sample t-test was used to analyse the quantitative data while the content analysis was used to analyse the qualitative data. The results showed that the effects of Learning Together on students' mathematics achievement and attitudes toward mathematics were significant, and the teachers' perception on the implementation of Learning Together was positive. The findings revealed that Learning Together model contributed to the development of students' mathematical performance due to proper formation of groups, group members' cooperation to each other's learning and their sincerity to teachers' incentives during the treatment period.
Given a graph G with vertex set V(G) and edge set E(G), for the bijective function f(V(G))→{1,2,⋯,|V(G)|}, the associated weight of an edge xy∈E(G) under f is w(xy)=f(x)+f(y). If all edges have ...pairwise distinct weights, the function f is called an edge-antimagic vertex labeling. A path P in the vertex-labeled graph G is said to be a rainbow x−y path if for every two edges xy,x′y′∈E(P) it satisfies w(xy)≠w(x′y′). The function f is called a rainbow antimagic labeling of G if there exists a rainbow x−y path for every two vertices x,y∈V(G). We say that graph G admits a rainbow antimagic coloring when we assign each edge xy with the color of the edge weight w(xy). The smallest number of colors induced from all edge weights of antimagic labeling is the rainbow antimagic connection number of G, denoted by rac(G). This paper is intended to investigate non-symmetrical phenomena in the comb product of graphs by considering antimagic labeling and optimizing rainbow connection, called rainbow antimagic coloring. In this paper, we show the exact value of the rainbow antimagic connection number of the comb product of graph Fn⊳Tm, where Fn is a friendship graph with order 2n+1 and Tm∈{Pm,Sm,Brm,p,Sm,m}, where Pm is the path graph of order m, Sm is the star graph of order m+1, Brm,p is the broom graph of order m+p and Sm,m is the double star graph of order 2m+2.
The study aims to investigate the analysis of student metacognition skill in solving the rainbow connection problem under the implementation of the research-based learning model. The method used in ...this study is a mixed method. The research subjects were the 4th semester of students of higher education consisting of 30 students of experimental class and 45 students of the control class. The instruments of this research are a test, an observation, and an interview. Quantitative method is applied to analyze the difference of student achievement result among two classes, while the qualitative method is applied to analysis the students' metacognitive skills. The results show that there are significant differences between the two classes that applied research-based learning and conventional learning models. The conventional model refers to student-centered learning of Think-Pair- Shares (TPS) model. The statistical result indicates that the (2-tailed) significance of the independent sample t-test in the pre-test was 0.000 or a = 0.05. It implies that the implementation of RBL significantly affects the students' metacognition skill in solving the rainbow connection problem.
