A systematic computational analysis is integrated with the experimental records like Rietveld and Judd-Ofelt studies to have a deeper insight into the structural and optoelectronic characteristics of ...Eu3+-doped Ba2LaV3O11 system. The vanadates used were developed via solution combustion-synthesis (SCS) route, with all ab-initio calculations performed in the density functional framework. The Rietveld refinement over Ba2La0.65Eu0.35V3O11 lattice confirmed the phase purity and crystal structure prototype (monoclinic with P21/a space group). The first-principal routed structure-optimization of the pure host unveiled not only the total energy but also the atomic positions which were unknown till date. The experimental band-gap (3.724 eV) was found to be pretty much comparable to the value obtained computationally (3.482 eV). The partial density of states (PDOS) were analyzed orbital-as well as element-wise to understand the electronic structure in a more comprehensive manner. The calculation of dielectric function yielded the value of many important optical properties like refractive index, extinction-coefficient, optical-conductivity, and loss-function. The photoluminescent (PL) excitation-emission and decay analysis revealed a very efficient energy transfer from vanadate absorption of Ba2LaV3O11 to Eu3+; resulting in a significantly intense emission with blue-white-red color tunability. Furthermore, the density-functional assisted PL analysis also provided the Judd-Ofelt parameters (Ω2 = 3.3175 × 10−20 cm2 and Ω4 = 0.1197 × 10−20 cm2), radiative-lifetime (2.03 ms), emission cross-sections (10.80 × 10−22 cm2), quantum efficiencies and radiative rates for 5D0 term. All optoelectronic results of Ba2La0.65Eu0.35V3O11 phosphor suggest that it can be used in the nanocrystalline form for white light emitting diodes (WLEDs) while potentially the bulk crystal in laser devices. Moreover, the results of this report may find applications in designing novel material based upon Ba2LaV3O11 lattice.

Climate change is a major concern for sustainable agriculture in the twenty-first century, as it has an impact on crop production and soil fertility, which may increase the risk of famine. Of the array of issues pertaining to climate change, salt stress is one of the most significant factors affecting crop production all over the world. Plants undergo different morphological, physio-chemical, and molecular adaptations to deal with salinity stress. However, several mitigation strategies are also used to cope with the drastic effects of salt stress. Microbial-based solutions, in particular, are highly desirable in sustainable agriculture as they provide a natural, cost-effective, and environmentally safe approach for improving plant growth and yield. Endophytic bacteria not only preserve soil fertility but also boost plant growth under salt stress situations. These bacteria mitigate salt stress by lowering the synthesis of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and facilitating nutrient availability. Moreover, the endophytic bacteria also regulate the expression of genes responsible for producing various phytohormones, antioxidant enzymes, siderophores, volatile organic compounds, and ROS-scavenging enzymes, and other substances. The current research extensively explored the potential pathways involved in plant growth modulation and salinity stress mitigation by endophytic bacteria. Bacterial endophytes as a plant's second genome might be a natural strategy for improving a plant's growth and yield under salt stress conditions.
The induction of lineage-specific gene programs are strongly influenced by alterations in local chromatin architecture. However, key players that impact this genome reorganization remain largely ...unknown. Here, we report that the removal of the special AT-rich binding protein 2 (SATB2), a nuclear protein known to bind matrix attachment regions, is a key event in initiating myogenic differentiation. The deletion of myoblast SATB2 in vitro initiates chromatin remodeling and accelerates differentiation, which is dependent on the caspase 7-mediated cleavage of SATB2. A genome-wide analysis indicates that SATB2 binding within chromatin loops and near anchor points influences both loop and sub-TAD domain formation. Consequently, the chromatin changes that occur with the removal of SATB2 lead to the derepression of differentiation-inducing factors while also limiting the expression of genes that inhibit this cell fate change. Taken together, this study demonstrates that the temporal control of the SATB2 protein is critical in shaping the chromatin environment and coordinating the myogenic differentiation program.
Medullary thyroid carcinoma can have an aggressive behavior, and little is known about the molecular basis for clinical outcome. Defining risk of recurrent or metastatic disease is difficult, and it ...has been limited to clinical and pathologic features, such as advanced age, cervical lymph node metastases, and stage at presentation. Using microdissection and genotyping, we studied 11 cases of medullary carcinoma for allelic losses in a panel of known tumor suppressor genes. The tumor suppressor genes with the most frequent allelic losses were NF2, l-myc, and p53 (75%, 44%, and 44%, respectively). The average frequency of allelic loss across all tumors was 44% and was higher in tumors that recurred. A combination of previously described high-risk variables (increased patient age and cervical lymph node metastases) with the frequency of allelic loss yielded a high-risk group, in which 6 of 6 patients recurred, and a low-risk group, in which 0 of 5 patients recurred (P = 0.004). Frequency of allelic loss in tumor suppressor genes may provide a useful adjunctive prognostic test in medullary thyroid carcinoma.
In many countries, school buses are considered as easy options for parents to transport their children to their schools. However, safety of child has always been a concern for parents, as most of ...them consider it highly unsafe way of transportation. Nevertheless, with the advent of technology it has been observed that mobile computing and IoT has provided us profound solutions for safe transportation of school going children. Proposed IoT based Bus Tracking System, will introduce a tracking website and an android application for the school admin, drivers of the bus and the parents. Proposed system will provide the admin with the charge of adding new bus driver and new student to the driver list. Furthermore, the application itself will generate a fixed QR code for each student that will be placed on a card that contain the student personal information. Also, proposed system will track the bus location through the driver mobile. Subsequently, the parents' application will display a map that show the current bus position and it will be updated after each period, and the intervals between each update will be short as possible to ensure the safety of everyone. Moreover, there will be different types of notifications that will be received by the school admin or parents' or both. For instance, school admin and parents will receive a notification if the bus is out of schedule, and there will be another notification will be received by the parents' if there is any change in the daily bus schedule.
