The influence of dietary environment on the nutritional awareness, eating habits and appreciation of school lunch services were studied by a questionnaire investigation conducted on 172 students in ...the first to third grades of three junior high schools in Yamanashi Prefecture. The students were classified into three groups from the results of a cluster analysis of the questionnaire answers; group 3 had high awareness of the effects of diet and eating family dinner together on health and socializing, group 1 had unhealthy nutritional awareness and eating habits, and group 2 had doubtful nutritional awareness and eating habits. A significant relationship was found between the nutritional awareness, eating habits and eating environment of the three groups. Five factors were extracted from the appreciation of the school lunch service by the factor analysis : factor I, palatability; factor II, nutrition and socializing; factor III, dietary education; factor IV, school lunch information to the home; factor V, school lunch environment. The scores by group 1 for the five factors were negative and the lowest among the three groups. The nutritional awareness and eating habits were found to be closely related to the appreciation of the school lunch service.
The influence of dietary environment and school lunch service on the nutritional awareness, eating habits, appreciation of the school lunch service and health were studied by a questionnaire survey ...conducted on 1,378 students in the first to third grades of six junior high schools in Yamanashi Prefecture. Significant differences were found by a factor analysis among the students from the six schools between the response rate to the questionnaire and the standard scores. The students from two schools who were served lunches prepared in their school kitchens had a desirable dietary environment and were in excellent health. The students from two other schools were catered for by an outside food contractor and showed the lowest standard scores for their appreciation of the school lunch service. A path analysis showed that a desirable dietary environment was significantly correlated with healthy nutritional awareness and eating habits. Such awareness and habits were strongly correlated with the students' dietary education and social contact during school lunches.
O Instituto Adolfo Lutz (IAL) foi criado em 1940 como resultado da unificação dos Institutos Bacteriológico e Bromatológico, um moderno laboratório voltado ao controle de doenças, inaugurando uma ...nova fase de Laboratórios de Saúde Pública no estado de São Paulo. Os primeiros testes sorológicos oferecidos à população foram executados pelas “antigas” Seções de Sorologia e de Imunologia. Destaca-se a importância dessas seções no desenvolvimento científico do IAL pela realização de pesquisas, produção científica e inovação tecnológica, seguramente, fundamentais para a saúde pública no decorrer dos anos. O Centro de Imunologia do IAL (CIM-IAL) foi criado em 2010, com a unificação das Seções de Sorologia e Imunologia, quando ocorreu a reorganização institucional. O CIM-IAL participou de importantes avanços científicos na área da saúde, reforçando sua capacidade em desenvolver pesquisas, executar e monitorar o diagnóstico e a vigilância de diferentes agravos. Este manuscrito tem como objetivo apresentar os principais acontecimentos que ressaltam o papel fundamental na busca de soluções para os problemas de saúde pública, desde a época das Seções de Sorologia e Imunologia até tornar-se o Centro de Imunologia. Na elaboração deste trabalho foram utilizadas bibliografias contendo dados históricos, científicos e relatos de profissionais da área.
