The aim of the study is to analyze the formation of professional communicative literacy of future medical workers, which includes a personal development component provided by independent language ...preparation for the use of medical terminology.
Materials and methods: The diagnostic stage, which was conducted in 2019-2020, included 400 students from four higher educational institutions: I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University, Ivano-Frankivsk National University, Uzhhorod National University. These are students who completed the study of such disciplines as "Latin language and basics of medical terminology", "Human anatomy", "Histology", "Pharmacology" in the 1st year of studying.
Results: The comparative analysis shows that this determined the level of formation of the students' motivational sphere in the direction of speech preparation for the use of medical terminology in Latin language classes, and the following results were obtained. With regard to the main motivating points for Latin classes, it was established that 115 (28.75%) young people study it with great interest, strive to improve their knowledge of medical terminology further, as they are sure that they will definitely need it in their future professional activities.
Conclusions: Research and experimental verification of the effectiveness of pedagogical conditions and the structural-functional model of professional language training of future doctors for the use of medical terminology took place during the training of first-year-students at the higher educational establishment. Innovative methods of developing critical thinking, information and interactive technologies were used.Positive changes in the results of professional and language training of CG students (increase in average figure from 3.51 to 3.69 points) are caused by the natural influence of the traditional educational process, and changes in average figures in EG (from 3.51 to 3.92 points) show the effectiveness of implementation of defined pedagogical conditions.
Aim is to analyze the possibilities of using the electronic system Moodle for the formation of professional and terminological competence of medical students during the study of terminological ...competence for improving the quality of medical education.
Materials and Methods: The research used a number of scientific methods: general scientific (analysis, synthesis, generalization), specific research and others which ensured the selection and analysis of the source base, made it possible to determine the general trends in the study of the problem of using the electronic system Moodle for the formation of professional and terminological competence of medical students during the study of terminological competence for improving the quality of medical education.
Conclusions: At I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University we actively use the e-learning system Moodle (Modular Object Oriented Distance Learning Environment), to which there is free and unrestricted access. Using this program, the student takes on the role of an active subject who independently acquires knowledge, forms his/her own system of skills, of course with the help of certain sources, and the role of the teacher in this scheme is to motivate and suport learners, prepare information sources used in self-study, etc. This is due to a significant increase in the requirements for quality training of future specialists n the medical field and market conditions in Ukraine, which set before the higher school the task of training specialists of the new generation who would be highly qualified, competitive, literate, and have perfect command of their professional terminology. The Moodle system is able to optimize the learning process, promote the formation of terminological competence and master professional vocabulary. When creating educational and methodological complexes for the formation of terminological competence, the means of teaching, as well as the ways of presenting educational material and the principles of organizing the educational activities of students become important. The electronic platform Moodle, which has a wide range of resources for teaching and testing, is able to expand the communicative competencies and skills of students needed to effectively master professional Latin terminology. The Moodle system has the optimal set of resource opportunities for the implementation of blended learning - classroom and extracurricular, which is its main advantage.

Materials and methods: The diagnostic stage, which was conducted in 2020-2021, included 300 sixth-year students from three higher educational institutions: I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University, Ivano-Frankivsk National University.
Results: Comparative analysis shows that the level of self-educational competence formation for future doctors in higher education institutions depends on the form of educational activityto a large extent. It was established that 196 (65%) future doctors prefer practical training at the patient's bedside, 92 medical students (31%) study in simulation centers, and 12 young people (4%) consider combined classes and generalizing conferences to be important.
Conclusions: Research and experimental verification of the effectiveness of the self-educational competence formation for future doctors took place during the training of sixth-year students at a higher educational institution. Innovative methods of developing critical thinking, information and interactive tech¬nologies were used.
The aim: Organization of research work to substantiate and verify the potential development of emotional intelligence (EI) among student youth as a factor in preserving their mental health (MH) and ...adapting to crisis situations, in particular, those caused by military actions in Ukraine.
Materials and methods: The experimental base was 54 student-teachers of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University (Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine). They were divided into a control group (34 people) and an experimental group (20 people), who participated in training according to the author's program. The questionnaire "Self-assessment of adaptability and well-being in crisis conditions of martial law" became the main prognostic tool of the research work. It was developed on the basis of D. Lusin's EI measurement technique, the MSCEIT test; the method of differential diagnosis of depressive states by V. Zung.
Results: The research work consisted of two parts: theoretical (definition of terminology, conceptual concepts, hypotheses of research work; development of a structural model of EI) and experimental, which was implemented in three stages: ascertainment (determination of the initial level of EI of the participants of the experiment), formative (organization of training according to the author's experimental program), control (determination of changes in the level of proficiency of EI students). The positive influence of the author's program on the increase in the indicators of EG members' possession by four components of EI (informational; adaptive behavior; self-control; empathy) at three levels is substantiated: high - an increase from 12.25% to 25%; average decrease from 43.75 to 47%; low - a decrease from 44% to 28.75%. The common, special, excellent results of our research work and experimental studies of other authors are shown.
Conclusions: The conducted study generally confirmed the hypothesis that thanks to the training of EI (in particular, its four components: informational; adaptive behavior; self-control; empathy) can become an effective factor in preserving a person's MH and adapting to crisis situations. The prognostic toolkit presented in the work, the procedure for formalizing the results of the experiment, and the methodology of the author's training program for the formation of EI are extremely representative, understandable, and valid. Since the research is based on materials that are publicly available on the Internet, its results can be used and developed by either scientists or medical and social workers, practicing teaching. All life crises, including those caused by military events, mass casualties and large-scale destruction, get to the end sooner or later. Therefore, their experience should be carefully studied in order to effectively use the potential of EI in increasing human life resources.
The aim is to analyze the leading directions of volunteer activity of Ukrainian students in the field of medical, social assistance, education of children, youth and adults in Galicia (end of the ...19th - 30s of the 20th century).
Materials and methods: The study uses a number of scientific methods: chronological, historical, specific search, content analysis - provide selection, analysis of the source base, allow to identify general trends, directions of development, achievements and gaps of the Ukrainian student movement in Galicia in the field of medical, social care, education and enlightenment of children and adults in the late XIX - 30s of the XX century; extrapolation and actualization - focus on creative thinking, adaptation and use of this historical experience under the current conditions.
Conclusions: Voluntary activity of Ukrainian students (end of the 19th - 30s of the 20th century) is an interesting peculiar phenomenon not only in national, but also in European history, which has real achievements and deserves a scientific and theoretical understanding from the standpoint of today. Student volunteer experience in the field of social and medical protection of children and adults, education, cultural development, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, dissemination of sanitary and hygienic knowledge, medical counseling can be useful and instructive now, when Ukraine is fighting against the Russian aggressor. We outline the volunteer activity of students who belonged to the "Medychna hromada" society (1910-1944) as a national phenomenon of the organization of public medical care of the population of Galicia, which has no analogue in the history of Ukrainian medicine. It is primarily about a high degree of civic self-awareness, patriotism, self-sacrifice for the benefit of the Ukrainian people, the provision of medical services to low-income sections of the population, widows, orphans, disabled people, veterans of the Great War, medical care of children and youth, etc. - all this inspires modern doctors who provide assistance to soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, wounded in hospitals, internally displaced persons, etc.
