In this work, we analyze content and structure of the Twitter trending topic #cuentalo with the purpose of providing a visualization of the movement. A supervised learning methodology is used to ...train the classifying algorithms with hand-labeled observations. The methodology allows us to classify each tweet according to its role in the movement.
A melhoria nos processos de fabricação tornou-se necessário para a sobrevivência das empresas nos últimos anos. Nessa busca encontra-se a disposição várias ferramentas e métodos que se aplicados ...corretamente reduzem os desperdícios consideravelmente. O objetivo deste trabalho foi aplicar o método de melhoria contínua através da filosofia Kaizen em uma metalúrgica situada no interior do Estado de São Paulo. A metodologia adotada foi de natureza quantitativa e exploratória tendo como procedimento técnico a pesquisa ação. Para coleta de dados foi feita uma análise no que diz respeito aos tempos de preparação de máquinas operatrizes, em especial tornos CNC's (Comando Numérico Computacional). A partir dos dados obtidos, foram utilizados as ferramentas: Brainstorming, 5S e o SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die) para auxiliar na aplicação do Kaizen, pois possuem baixo custo de implantação e necessita muito mais de iniciativas simples e adoção de uma sistemática de trabalho, do que investimento financeiro. Os resultados demostraram que a empresa conseguiu reduzir significativamente as horas utilizadas com o Setup. Além de obter um controle de desempenho do processo, trouxe também motivação e confiança aos colaboradores que executam a função.
Se realizó una revisión de la literatura científica publicada sobre la técnica novedosa del electrorretinograma multifocal, los mecanismos celulares involucrados y algunos de los factores que ...modifican sus resultados, así como la forma de su presentación. La caracterización básica de este registro electrofisiológico obtenido en varias regiones de la retina en sujetos normales es importante para establecer a pequeña escala, una base de datos comparativa que permita evaluar los trazados en ojos patológicos, lo cual contribuiría enormemente al electrodiagnóstico precoz y poco invasivo de las lesiones retinales localizadas.A scientific literature review was made on the novel multifocal electroretinogram technique, the involved cell mechanisms and some of the factors modifying its results together with the form of presentation. The basic characteristics of this electrophysiological record obtained from several regions of the retina of normal subjects is important in order to create at a small scale a comparative database to evaluate pathological eye tracing. All this will greatly help in early less invasive electrodiagnosis of localized retinal lesions.

In preparation for the 2023 NSAC Long Range Plan (LRP), members of the Nuclear Science community gathered to discuss the current state of, and plans for further leveraging opportunities in, QIST in ...NP research at the Quantum Information Science for U.S. Nuclear Physics Long Range Planning workshop, held in Santa Fe, New Mexico on January 31 - February 1, 2023. The workshop included 45 in-person participants and 53 remote attendees. The outcome of the workshop identified strategic plans and requirements for the next 5-10 years to advance quantum sensing and quantum simulations within NP, and to develop a diverse quantum-ready workforce. The plans include resolutions endorsed by the participants to address the compelling scientific opportunities at the intersections of NP and QIST. These endorsements are aligned with similar affirmations by the LRP Computational Nuclear Physics and AI/ML Workshop, the Nuclear Structure, Reactions, and Astrophysics LRP Town Hall, and the Fundamental Symmetries, Neutrons, and Neutrinos LRP Town Hall communities.
Existe una vasta experiencia a nivel mundial en neurocirugía funcional y estereotaxia, subespecialidad que era desarrollada en Uruguay sólo en un centro hasta que en el año 2004 se forma el Equipo de ...Estereotaxia y Neurocirugía Funcional, como departamento del Centro Regional de Neurocirugía de Tacuarembó (CERENET), en el Hospital Regional de Tacuarembó (Ministerio de Salud Pública-Administración de los Seguros Sociales por Enfermedad), donde se asisten pacientes de todo el país. El objetivo de este reporte es presentar las técnicas que se están llevando a cabo en el CERENET, en la subespecialidad de neurocirugía funcional y estereotaxia.
Congenital pulmonary lymphangiectasia is a rare disease characterized by dilation of lymphatic channels without lymphatic proliferation. The disease is seen almost exclusively in infancy and early ...childhood. The authors report 2 cases of pulmonary lymphangiectasia. The patients were a 12- and a 25-year-old male who presented with progressive dyspnea and hemoptysis. The diagnosis was confirmed by open lung biopsy. The radiographic findings consisted of bilateral reticular changes, peribronchial cuffing, and bilateral pleural effusions. High-resolution CT demonstrated extensive bilateral septal and peribronchovascular interstitial thickening, areas of ground-glass attenuation, and bilateral pleural effusions. The histologic findings consisted of ectatic and tortuous lymphatic channels in the interlobular septa, bronchovascular sheaths, and pleura.
