A model of dilaton gravity with nonsingular black holes as solutions is considered. Its properties are described, including thermodynamic ones and those related to effects of evaporation. A ...conjecture is made about resolving the information paradox and a method for testing it is proposed.
We consider a model of two-dimensional dilaton gravity where the strong coupling region is cut off by the dynamical boundary making its causal structure similar to the spherically symmetric sector of ...the higher dimensional gravity. It is shown that the classical dynamics is fully determined by a single ordinary differential equation which possesses an infinite number of exact solutions. All solutions describe either the solutions describing the full reflection regime at subcritical energies or the black hole formation regime at larger energies. Black hole evaporation effect is taken into account by introduction of a new field mimicking the one-loop conformal anomaly. The semiclassical solutions become nonanalytic and ambiguous. It is proposed to perform analytic continuation of the subcritical solutions describing the full reflection through the complex domain to bypass singularities of real solutions describing collapse. It is supposed that this may lead to the correct saddle point solution saturating the path integral for gravitational scattering amplitude at enough energy for a black hole to form in the classical theory.
We discuss the aspects of axion-like-particles searches with Light-Shining-through-Wall experimental setups consisted of two radio-frequency cavities. We compare the efficiencies of four setups which ...involve the cavity pump modes and external magnetic fields. Additionally, we discuss the sensitivity dependence both on the relative position of two cylindrical cavities and on their radius-to-length ratio.
The highlights of the most recent CMS results with 13 TeV data will be presented in this overview. The Standard Model precision measurements, including the top quark production, will be shown first. ...This will be followed by the presentation of Higgs boson studies with the early 13 TeV data. Then the focus will shift to searches for physics beyond the Standard Model, including the searches for several Supersymmetric scenarios, using different analysis techniques. The talk will conclude with searches for the exotic resonances, with an emphasis on studies of the high-mass diphoton production.
Efficacy was studied of the use of the drug preparation "Immunal" (LEK, Slovenia correction of Slovakia) in a combined treatment of acute bronchitis in children in poor health. The main group of 39 ...children received conventional treatment supplemented with a course of the drug "Immunal", 10 drops on a three-times daily schedule over 30 days. The use of "Immunal" in a complex therapy of acute bronchitis in children made for a sooner disappearance of clinical manifestations of the illness, decline in ESR, rise in IgG. The immunological properties of "Immunal" are manifested mainly by normalization of the functional state of the phagocytosing cells.
