An experimental implementation of the “in-line” method of X-ray phase contrast using a standard wide-focus X-ray tube as a polychromatic source is described. Using the proposed experimental scheme, ...in vitro tomographic measurements of a sample of human brain pineal gland are carried out, and the morphological structure of the soft tissues of this organ is visualized based on the results obtained. The advantage of phase-contrast tomography in comparison with traditional absorption tomography for studying the structural features of soft tissues is experimentally demonstrated. The “in-line” phase-contrast scheme, implemented on a laboratory setup, allows tomographic study of samples with linear dimensions of several millimeters and a resolution of ∼20 µm.
Members of the jingmenviruses group have been found in arthropods and mammals on all continents except Australia and Antarctica. Two viruses of this group were isolated from patients with fever after ...a tick bite. Using a nested RT-PCR assay targeting a jingmenvirus polymerase gene fragment, we screened ticks collected in seven regions of Russia and found that the abundant jingmenvirus-positive were of Ixodes ricinus species, with the prevalence ranging from 19.8% to 34.3%. In all cases, DNase/RNase treatment suggested that the detected molecule was DNA and subsequent next generation sequencing (NGS) proved that the viral polymerase gene was integrated in the I. ricinus genome. The copy number of the integrated polymerase gene was quantified by qPCR relative to the ITS2 gene and estimated as 1.32 copies per cell. At least three different genetic variants of the integrated polymerase gene were found in the territory of Russia. Phylogenetic analysis of the integrated jingmenvirus polymerase gene showed the highest similarity with the sequence of the correspondent gene obtained in Serbia from I. ricinus.

It is known that negative body image can cause significant emotional distress for an individual and thus lead to lower subjective well-being. Previous research has shown that both ...disordered eating and body mass are connected to negative body image.
Objectives
To examine how disordered eating and BMI can predict different aspects of body image.
Methods
A sample of 180 healthy respondents (152 Female, 28 Male, mean age 22,62±7,35) were recruited in Moscow. Disordered eating was measured by Eating Attitude Test (EAT-26; Garner D. et al., 1982), body image was measured by Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire (MBSRQ; Cash T. F., 1990). Body mass index (BMI) was calculated on the basis of self-reported data (height and weight). Multiple linear regression analysis was performed in IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0.
Results

Conclusions
Symptoms of disordered eating and body mass index in normal population can predict self-evaluation of one`s appearance as less attractive, body size as bigger and weight as heavier. Only symptoms of disordered eating predicted higher extent of investment in one’s appearance and health. And neither IBM, nor disordered eating predicted self-evaluation of one`s health and fitness or the extent of investment in fitness.
Introduction
Previous studies have shown that emotional eating is associated with binge eating disorder, body image disturbances and depression.
Objectives
In this study we wanted to find out if ...there is a relationship between emotional eating and body image and life satisfaction in non-clinical sample.
Methods
The study involved 182 normal participants (153 Female, 29 Male, mean age 22,6 ± 7,3), which were recruited in Moscow, Russia. Emotional eating was measured by the opposite pole of Eating for Physical Rather Than Emotional Reasons subscale of Intuitive Eating Scale-2 (IES-2), body image was measured by Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire (MBSRQ), Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) was used to measure the corresponding construct. Correlation analysis was performed in IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0.
Results
Emotional eating was associated with the following MBSRQ subscales: lower appearance evaluation (-0,431, p<0,0001), lower body areas satisfaction (-0,335, p<0,0001), as well as lower fitness evaluation (-0,208, p=0,005) and lower health evaluation (-0,182, p=0,014), but higher overweight preoccupation (0,279, p=0,0001) and overestimation of body weight (0,362, p<0,0001). It was also connected to lower satisfaction with life (-0,195, p=0,008).
Conclusions
The results of the study allow us to conclude that emotional eating may pose risks to psychological health of a normal individual. It was shown that emotional eating is connected to negative evaluation of one`s body appearance, fitness and health state, weight and shape concerns, and even to the lower level of satisfaction with one’s life.
Hodgkin’s lymphomas (HL) and the majority of non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas (NHL) derive from different stages of B-cell differentiation. MicroRNA (miRNA) expression profiles change during lymphopoiesis. ...Thus, miRNA expression analysis can be used as a reliable diagnostic tool to differentiate tumors. In addition, the identification of miRNA’s role in lymphopoiesis impairment is an important fundamental task. The aim of this study was to analyze unique miRNA expression profiles in different types of B-cell lymphomas. We analyzed the expression levels of miRNA-18a, -20a, -96, -182, -183, -26b, -34a, -148b, -9, -150, -451a, -23b, -141, and -128 in lymph nodes (LNs) in the following cancer samples: HL (n = 41), diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) (n = 51), mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) (n = 15), follicular lymphoma (FL) (n = 12), and lymphadenopathy (LA) (n = 37), as well as bone marrow (BM) samples: HL (n = 11), DLBCL (n = 42), MCL (n = 14), FL (n = 16), and non-cancerous blood diseases (NCBD) (n = 43). The real-time RT-PCR method was used for analysis. An increase in BM expression levels of miRNA-26b, -150, and -141 in MCL (p < 0.01) and a decrease in BM levels of the miR-183-96-182 cluster and miRNA-451a in DLBCL (p < 0.01) were observed in comparison to NCBD. We also obtained data on increased LN levels of the miR-183-96-182 cluster in MCL (p < 0.01) and miRNA-18a, miRNA-96, and miRNA-9 in FL (p < 0.01), as well as decreased LN expression of miRNA-150 in DLBCL (p < 0.01), and miRNA-182, miRNA-150, and miRNA-128 in HL (p < 0.01). We showed that miRNA expression profile differs between BM and LNs depending on the type of B-cell lymphoma. This can be due to the effect of the tumor microenvironment.

Ngari virus is a mosquito-borne virus belonging to the genus Orthobunyavirus (Peribunyaviridae family). This virus is pathogenic to humans and causes severe illness. Ngari virus is present in several African countries, including Madagascar. Here, we report the detection of Ngari virus in ixodid ticks collected from cows in Guinea.
A tick survey was conducted in March-November of 2018 in six regions of Guinea. The sample comprised 710 pools, with a total of 2067 ticks belonging to five species collected from 197 cows. At the initial stage, we screened a subsample of tick pools of vector-borne viruses with a multiplex genus-specific primer panel. In the second stage of the study, we narrowed the search and screened all the samples by qPCR for the detection of Ngari virus. All positive samples were sequenced with primers flanking Ngari virus-specific fragments on the S and M segments.
We found Ngari virus in 12 pools that were formed from engorged ticks collected from livestock in three villages of the Kindia and Kankan regions. Sequencing of the S and M segments confirmed that the detected viruses belong to Ngari virus, and the viruses were most similar to the strain Adrar, which was isolated in Mauritania. We detected viral RNA in ticks of the following species: Amblyomma variegatum, Rhipicephalus geigyi, and Rh. (Boophilus) spp. There is no evidence that ixodid ticks are competent vectors of the Ngari virus. Most likely, the ticks obtained the virus through blood from an infected host. The study of engorged ticks can be recommended as a simpler approach for the wide screening of the Ngari virus and subsequent testing of cattle and mosquitos in those locations where the PCR-positive ticks were collected.

West Nile virus (WNV), a mosquito-borne flavivirus in the Japanese encephalitis antigenic group, has caused sporadic outbreaks in humans, horses and birds throughout many of the warmer regions of ...Europe for at least 20 years. Occasional cases of West Nile encephalitis have also been associated with infected blood transfusions and organ donations. Currently, WNV appears to be expanding its geographical range in Europe and causing increasing numbers of epidemics/outbreaks associated with human morbidity and mortality. This brief review reports on the current epidemic situation regarding WNV in Europe, highlighting the clinical, diagnostic and preventive measures available for controlling this apparently emerging human pathogen.
