The activity of many physiological mechanisms depends on pH; therefore, maintaining a normal pH in the body is one of the important tasks of homeostatic regulation. Shifts in the acid–base balance ...can be associated with both pathological and physiological processes. Physiological acidosis in skeletal muscles appears due to physical exercise as muscle contractions may significantly reduce pH in muscle fibers and interstitium. However, after the cessation of contractions, the pH level rapidly normalizes, which is largely ensured by the work of the circulatory system, which removes metabolic products from the muscle. Acidosis causes vasodilatation by affecting the activities of numerous mechanisms in smooth muscle and endothelial cells and by inhibiting vasoconstrictor nerve influence. Vasodilation and increased muscle blood flow are favorable to recovery of the skeletal muscle performance following intense contractions.

The aim of this analysis was to substantiate the most promising trends in the ...development of an up-to-date biosensor based on cholinesterase inhibition with an optimum sensitivity-analytical-signal formation time relation for the monitoring of atmospheric air for organophosphorus warfare agents and insecticides.
The paper presents the history of the development of automatic milking systems and their classification. The objects of study were automatic milking systems that are used in world practice. The ...analysis of automatic milking systems showed that they have technological and design differences. Technological and design features of automatic milking systems such as "Astronaut A4", "VMS", "M2erlin", "MR-S2", "MR-D2", "RDS FutureLine", "Galaxy Starline" and "Mlone" were considered in working out of this classification. The studies have shown that the existing automatic milking systems differ in the number of milking boxes and their location, type of robot arm, drive control of robot arm, robot arm location, decision of cleaning the teats and stimulating milk flow, decision of entry and exit of cows from the milking boxes.

A rapid test for amanitins is proposed on the basis of their complexation with ethydium bromide leading to an intensively fluorescent adduct; the fluorescence band of the product has a shorter ...wavelength than that of ethydium bromide, which ensures the high specificity of the analysis. The fluorescence intensity in the system of ethydium bromide — amanitin grows linearly with the concentration of amanitin in the range 0.2–1.7 μM at the constant concentration of ethydium bromide, 0.6 μM. The detection limit is 1 μM, the time of the development of the analytical signal is up to 5 s.
Abstract
This article studied organic fertilizers obtained from physically and mechanically stimulated peat. The conceptual difference of this formulation from analogs lies in its environmental ...safety, and humates and humic acids are extracted from the feedstock as fully as possible. We studied the effect of pretreatment of seeds with liquid humic fertilizer on plant growth and development, and found that this fertilizer in low concentrations when growing grain and legumes has a positive effect on the water-physical properties of soil, soil and plant microflora, on increasing mobility reserves of nutrients in the soil, as well as to improve the diet of plants. Consequently, the development and implementation of organic safe humic fertilizers is an urgent area for crop production and food production.

Fluorescence intensity of thioflavin T fluorogenic label increased significantly as a result of formation of enzyme-inhibitory complex with acetylcholinesterase of human blood erythrocytes. ...Thioflavin T is a reversible inhibitor, selectively reacting with acetylcholinesterase. Thioflavin T fluorescence intensity is proportional to acetylcholinesterase activity for the studied interval of enzyme activities. A rapid fluorescent method for measuring acetylcholinesterase activity is proposed.
The main source of vegetable protein in the world are leguminous crops, among which peas are the most common in Russia. Dozens and even hundreds of genes are involved in the regulation of biological ...processes associated with the maturation of seeds and the accumulation of reserve nutrients in them, including proteins. The study conducted on legume species related to peas indicate that one of the genes at the highest hierarchical level in this regulatory chain is the ABI3 transcription factor gene; however, its role in the biosynthesis and accumulation of seed storage proteins remains poorly studied. The purpose of the current work is to identify high-protein pea genotypes and analyze the nucleotide sequences of the coding region of the ABI3 gene to search for possible DNA polymorphisms associated with protein percentage in their seeds. The study was carried out in 2020–2021. The objects of the study were 37 pea varieties from the collection of genetic resources of leguminous crops of VIR. Protein percentage in seeds was determined by the Bradford method. Selection of primers and comparative analysis of nucleotide sequences were performed using the PrimerSelect and MegAlign programs. Sequencing was performed according to the Sanger method. There were identified pea varieties with the highest (‘Aksaisky Usaty 55’, ‘Sakharny’) and low (‘K-8361’ (VIR), ‘Fregat’) seed protein percentage. In these variety samples, the coding region of the ABI3 gene was sequenced. Comparative analysis of their nucleotide sequences with the sequence of the ABI3 gene fragment annotated in the GenBank database revealed significant variability among them: nucleotide substitutions, deletion of 6 nucleotides. In the high protein variety ‘Sakharny’, there has been found a 9-nucleotide insertion, leading to the insertion of three additional amino acids, and in the low-protein variety Fregat, there has been found a single nucleotide insertion, causing a shift in the reading frame. The data obtained may indicate a correlation between mutations in the ABI3 gene and protein accumulation in pea seeds.
Introduction
Trimetazidine (TMZ) has been shown to reduce angina symptoms and to increase exercise capacity in randomized clinical trials, but more extensive data would be useful to assess its ...effects in real-world clinical practice and in patients with different durations of disease.
Methods
CHOICE-2 was a Russian, multicenter, 6-month, open-label, prospective observational study that assessed the effect of adding TMZ modified release 35 mg bid to antianginal treatment in a real-world setting. The present analysis of CHOICE-2 results explored the effects of adding TMZ to background antianginal therapies with regard to the duration of stable angina.
Results
A total of 741 patients with known durations of disease were divided into four groups according to stable angina pectoris (AP) duration, ranging from less than 1 year to more than 9 years. Addition of TMZ led to a significant decrease in the frequency of angina attacks and in the use of short-acting nitrates in all groups. In patients with recently diagnosed angina (AP duration < 1 year), the average number of angina attacks per week decreased significantly from 3.75 ± 4.63 to 0.67 ± 1.51 and in those with advanced disease (AP duration > 9 years) from 5.63 ± 5.24 to 1.32 ± 2.07. Angina-free walking distance also improved significantly. Addition of TMZ also improved patient well-being. Results were achieved rapidly (within 2 weeks), were maintained over 6 months, and were obtained in all patient groups regardless of angina duration.
Conclusion
TMZ added to other antianginal therapies proved to be effective for reducing angina attacks and short-acting nitrate use, increasing angina-free walking distance, and improving patient well-being in a real-life setting, irrespective of angina duration, including patients with recently diagnosed angina. This provides an opportunity for intensification of treatment early on in the disease process, with the aim of decreasing angina burden and improving patient quality of life.
