Starting from a review of the book Foucault, digital published by Bernhard J. Dotzler and Henning Schmidgen in 2022, this article deals with the question of how Michel Foucault's theoretical and ...methodological concepts can be operationalized in digital humanities research. It takes a critical stance on the assumption that discourse analysis is a quantitative, "big data" method and makes the case for translating the concept of the dispositive into qualitative digital projects. Finally, the essay relates Foucault's late works on governmentality and self-care to post-phenomenology and interaction design, advocating theorization by building digital tools and platforms.

This paper deals critically with the posthumous interpretation of Foucault's work by Gilles Deleuze. The inquiry begins with Deleuze's claim that the late Foucault was a topologist like Andrei Bely ...in his modernist novel Petersburg. In order to illuminate this Deleuzian perspective, the author discusses the concepts of dispositif and chronotope. By analyzing a key scene from Petersburg, the paper concludes that Deleuze's notion of topology is closer to his own philosophical system than to Foucault's historical research.

By ...tracing these cultural patterns, Huhtamo actually switches from an archaeological to a genealogical approach. He emphasizes, however, that he is doing careful historical research—unlike Foucault as well as Friedrich Kittler and Jonathan Crary, who are, according to Huhtamo, "superimposing models from the present on the past and hence mistreating historical reality."

The book explores the modern attitudes that are articulated in the texts "Third Walpurgis Night" (1933) by Karl Kraus and "Prodromos" (1905) by Peter Altenberg. Following Foucault's discourse ...analytical approach and his concept of self practice, it asks with what types of subject and truth the two literary works break open the structures of enunciation in which they are historically embedded. The result is not a biographical or philological comparison, but a report on the experience of a performative reading that makes an archaeological section of the writings and reconstructs their genealogical line.
This article reviews the lectures delivered at the international conference "Poetics of Infrastructure" in Vienna on December 13, 2014. The author first discusses material concepts in Foucault, ...especially the panopticon as a dispositif, and then proceeds to media-archaeological approaches and the emergence of infrastructure studies. The article finally gives a brief overview of the talks held by Gabriele Schabacher, Urs Stäheli, Shannon Mattern, Anton Tantner, Monika Dommann, Anette Baldauf, Rory Solomon, and Christian Ganahl.
