At the moment, the existing teaching evaluation system cannot be used for wireless data input and reception, limiting the system's application scope and making it less practical. As a result, a new ...system for evaluating college English teaching is being developed using a mobile terminal. The English teaching quality model is constructed using the Internet of Things mobile platform, and the network teaching structure is analyzed using the model parameters to monitor and control the teaching progress. A classification and evaluation system will be established in conjunction with the campus network and intelligent sensor networking technology. The development environment and overall design of the mobile terminal are used to create an evaluation system for English teaching in an Internet of Things environment. Create the critical architecture based on the B/S model. In the section on system software design, we mine data from English teaching resources, evaluate students’ progress toward English proficiency, and use convolutional neural networks to evaluate the quality of English teaching. The teaching results are output according to the distribution of convolutional layers, allowing us to analyze the level of English instruction in colleges and universities. Comparative experiments demonstrate that this research system has a higher information query efficiency, a lower convergent error of 4 ms, and a higher evaluation accuracy for oral English, English writing, and English reading.

Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi., a plant used in traditional Chinese medicine, has multiple biological activities, including anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antitumor, antioxidant, and antibacterial effects, and can be used to treat respiratory tract infections, pneumonia, colitis, hepatitis, and allergic diseases. The main active substances of S. baicalensis, baicalein, baicalin, wogonin, wogonoside, and oroxylin A, can act directly on immune cells such as lymphocytes, macrophages, mast cells, dendritic cells, monocytes, and neutrophils, and inhibit the production of the inflammatory cytokines IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α, and other inflammatory mediators such as nitric oxide, prostaglandins, leukotrienes, and reactive oxygen species. The molecular mechanisms underlying the immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effects of the active compounds of S. baicalensis include downregulation of toll-like receptors, activation of the Nrf2 and PPAR signaling pathways, and inhibition of the nuclear thioredoxin system and inflammation-associated pathways such as those of MAPK, Akt, NFκB, and JAK-STAT. Given that in addition to the downregulation of cytokine production, the active constituents of S. baicalensis also have antiviral and antibacterial effects, they may be more promising candidate therapeutics for the prevention of infection-related cytokine storms than are drugs having only antimicrobial or anti-inflammatory activities.
Chemoresistance remains the major obstacle to achieve optimal prognosis in gastric cancer patients, and the underlying molecular mechanisms of cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) in gastric cancer ...chemoresistance remain poorly understood. We identified the high pretherapeutical serum IL-8 level in gastric cancer patients was associated with poor response to platinum-based therapy, and it increased gradually during neoadjuvant chemotherapy and it decreased after radical surgery. Immunohistochemistry assays showed that IL-8 was highly expressed in gastric cancer tissues in chemoresistant patients, and located in CAFs. Primary CAFs produced more IL-8 than the corresponding normal fibroblasts, and human stomach fibroblast line Hs738 secreted more IL-8 after co-cultured with conditioned media from AGS or MGC-803 cells. IL-8 increased the IC50 of cisplatin (CDDP) in AGS or MGC-803 in vitro. Simultaneously, IL-8 treatment enhanced the expression of PI3K, phosphorylated-AKT (p-AKT), phosphorylated-IKb (p-IKb), phosphorylated-p65 (p-p65) and ABCB1, and ABCB1 and p-p65 were overexpressed in tumor tissues of chemoresistant patients. Collectively, CAFs derived IL-8 promotes chemoresistance in human gastric cancer via NF-κB activation and ABCB1 up-regulation. Our study provides a novel strategy to improve the chemotherapeutical efficacy and the prognosis of gastric cancer.

Solid-contact ion-selective electrodes (SC-ISEs) have the advantages of easy miniaturization, even chip integration, easy carrying, strong stability, and more favorable detection in complex ...environments. They have been widely used in conjunction with portable, wearable, and intelligent detection devices, as well as in on-site analysis and timely monitoring in the fields of environment, industry, and medicine. This article provides a comprehensive review of the composition of sensors based on redox capacitive and double-layer capacitive SC-ISEs, as well as the ion–electron transduction mechanisms in the solid-contact (SC) layer, particularly focusing on strategies proposed in the past three years (since 2021) for optimizing the performance of SC-ISEs. These strategies include the construction of ion-selective membranes, SC layer, and conductive substrates. Finally, the future research direction and possibilities in this field are discussed and prospected.
The slow kinetics of photoelectrochemical (PEC) water oxidation reaction is the bottleneck of PEC water splitting. Here, we report a comprehensive method to improve the PEC water oxidation ...performance of a hematite (α-Fe2O3) photoanode, that is, fluorine doping and an ultrathin amorphous cobalt silicate (Co-Sil) oxygen evolution reaction (OER) cocatalyst by photo-assisted electrophoretic deposition (PEPD). Detailed investigations reveal that fluorine doping can reduce the interfacial transfer resistance of charge and increase the carrier density to improve the conductivity of hematite. Also, simultaneously, the Co-Sil is used as an excellent OER cocatalyst to accelerate OER kinetics. Specifically, surface reconstruction of cobalt species occurred, and its average oxidation state increased significantly, which was more conducive to water oxidation. In addition, the presence of silicate groups could reduce the OOH* adsorption free energy. The synergistic effect of these efforts significantly reduced the onset potential and overpotential and enhanced the charge separation of the α-Fe2O3 photoanode, resulting in an excellent photocurrent density around 2.61 mA cm–2 at 1.23 V vs RHE (4.75 times higher than the primitive α-Fe2O3). This work provides a feasible strategy for the construction and development of a potential hematite photoanode.
Even though the perovskite solar cell has been so popular for its skyrocketing power conversion efficiency, its further development is still roadblocked by its overall performance, in particular ...long-term stability, large-area fabrication and stable module efficiency. In essence, the soft component and ionic-electronic nature of metal halide perovskites usually chaperonage large number of anion vacancy defects that act as recombination centers to decrease both the photovoltaic efficiency and operational stability. Herein, we report a one-stone-for-two-birds strategy in which both anion-fixation and associated undercoordinated-Pb passivation are in situ achieved during crystallization by using a single amidino-based ligand, namely 3-amidinopyridine, for metal-halide perovskite to overcome above challenges. The resultant devices attain a power conversion efficiency as high as 25.3% (certified at 24.8%) with substantially improved stability. Moreover, the device without encapsulation retained 92% of its initial efficiency after 5000 h exposure in ambient and the device with encapsulation retained 95% of its initial efficiency after >500 h working at the maximum power point under continuous light irradiation in ambient. It is expected this one-stone-for-two-birds strategy will benefit large-area fabrication that desires for simplicity.
This study sought to reveal the mechanism of flavor generation when pomegranate seeds are processed, as well as the contribution of volatile organic components (VOCs) to flavor formation. Gas ...chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry (GC-IMS), combined with relative odor activity (ROAV) and statistical methods, was used for the analysis. The results showed that 54 compounds were identified from 70 peaks that appeared in the GC-IMS spectrum. Then, the ROAV results showed 17 key volatile components in processing pomegranate seeds, and 7 flavor components with large differential contributions were screened out using statistical methods. These included γ-butyrolactone, (E)-3-penten-2-one (dimer), pentanal, 1-propanethiol, octanal, and ethyl valerate (monomer). It is suggested that lipid oxidation and the Maillard reaction may be the main mechanisms of flavor formation during the processing of pomegranate seeds. Furthermore, this study lays the experimental and theoretical foundations for further research on the development of flavor products from pomegranate seeds.
The measurement of yarn tension has a direct impact on the product quality and production efficiency in the textile manufacturing process, and the surface acoustic wave (SAW) yarn tension sensor is a ...good option for detecting the yarn tension. For SAW yarn tension sensors, sensitivity is an important indicator to assess their performance. In this paper, a new type of SAW yarn tension sensor based on a simply supported beam structure is studied to improve the sensitivity of the fixed beam SAW yarn tension sensor. The sensitivity analysis method based on elastic beam theory is proposed to illustrate the sensitivity optimization. According to the analysis results, the sensitivity of the SAW yarn tension sensor can be greatly improved by using a simply supported beam structure compared to the s fixed beam structure. Moreover, from the calibration experiment, the sensitivity of the simply supported beam SAW yarn tension sensor is 2.5 times higher than that of the fixed beam sensor.
Alicyclic amines are widely used in several types of industries, and considerable attention has been devoted to possible environmental pollution by alicyclic amines in hypersaline industrial ...wastewater. In this study, a new hypersaline tolerant bacterial TYUT067 capable of growing in liquid basal salt medium with cyclohexylamine (CHAM) as the sole carbon source and energy source, was isolated from soil, and discovered with highly efficient CHAM degrading ability. The strain TYUT067 was identified as Paenarthrobacter sp. based on 16S rDNA gene sequence, and its degradation characteristic was examined. The results revealed that the isolated TYUT067 could grow well under pH range of 6.5-10.0, temperature from 20 °C to 30 °C. For degradation of 60 mM of cyclohexylamine, 100% degradation could be finished within 120 h. The TYUT067 could degrade 10 mM CHAM under hypersaline conditions (3-5% NaCl, w/v), revealed the hypersaline tolerance of TYUT067. Different type of amines was also tested with TYUT067, the degradations of >90% were achieved toward several alicyclic amines. The current results suggested that TYUT067 was a potential species could be efficiently used for the degradation of alicyclic amines and might be applicable to a hypersaline wastewater treatment system for the removal of alicyclic amines.

The green alga Botryococcus braunii is regarded as a potential source of renewable fuel due to its high lipid and hydrocarbon contents. However, the slow growth rate damaged its feasibility for biofuel production. In this study, a novel method of ‘attached cultivation’ was introduced to incubate B. braunii FACHB 357 (B race). A high biomass productivity of 6.5gm−2d−1 was achieved in single layer attached system at early stage of cultivation. At day 10, the biomass, lipid and hydrocarbon productivities were 5.5, 2.34 and 1.06gm−2d−1, respectively. Under nitrogen starvation condition, both of the contents of lipid and hydrocarbon were increased, whereas the profile of hydrocarbon kept almost unchanged, while the content for oleic acid (18:1) increased and linolenic acid (18:3) decreased. With a multi-layer photobioreactor, a biomass productivity of 49.1gm−2d−1 or a photosynthetic efficiency of 14.9% (visible light) were obtained under continuous illumination of 500μmolm−2s−1.
