In the title compound, Ni(C(26)H(20)N(4)O(2))·0.5C(4)H(10)O, the central metal ion is coordinated by four atoms of the tetra-dentate picolinamide ligand, forming a slightly distorted square-planar ...configuration, with an average Ni-N(pyridine) distance of 1.94 Å and an average Ni-N(amide) distance of 1.83 Å. The asymmetric unit contains one half-molecule of diethyl ether; this solvent molecule is disordered across a twofold rotation axis..
Reed is a natural biological material and has great potential as reinforced material in bio-composites.The morphology and element contents of reed stem were investigated using scanning electronic ...microscopy equipped with energy dispersive spectrometer (SEM/EDS). And the effects of the mass mixing ratio of reed and poplar particles, dosage of water repellent on the physical and mechanical properties of reed/poplar composites were determined. Results indicated that the outside surface of reed stem has high silica content. The mass mixing ratio of 6:4 or 5:5 resulted in an optimum reed/poplar products. As the mass mixing ratio ranged from 4:6 to 10:0, the composites could be produced without adding additional water repellent. Therefore, it is possible to manufacture qualified reed/poplar composites by using urea-formaldehyde resin.

4−. The sites of four oxygen atoms bonded to Si atom are disordered over 8 possible locations in each anion in the crystal, which increased the symmetry of the polyanion. The bond distances of Si-O and W-O are 1.636(5)-1.655(5) and 1.632–1726Å, respectively.
An innovative, portable fluorescence reader was developed for the determination of C-reactive protein based on a lateral flow immunoassay. The C-reactive protein concentration was proportional to the ...intensity of the test line which was calibrated relative to the control line. To quantify the fluorescence intensity of the lateral flow strip, a custom illumination module, which concentrated the excitation beam from an ultraviolet light-emitting diode, was developed for strip scanning. Accordingly, a high sensitive photodiode with a preamplifier was chosen as the detector for fluorescence. For good repeatability, the strip scanning resolution was set to 5 μm between data points by controlling a linear stage actuated by a stepper motor. Four double-logistic calibration models were compared. The sensitivity for C-reactive protein was 0.1 mg/L and the linear dynamic range extended to 400 mg/L. The optical reader provides a new and simple approach for the determination of C-reactive protein and may be modified for other similar biomarkers.
In the title compound, C(19)H(22)N(3)O(+)·Br(-), the imidazole ring is approximately coplanar with the pyridine ring dihedral angle = 0.88 (13)° and nearly perpendicular to the benzene ring dihedral ...angle = 81.70 (13)°. O-H⋯Br and C-H⋯Br hydrogen bonding helps to stabilize the crystal structure.
According to the analysis of drilling cores, well logs, seismic and slice identification and analysis, the study region has in sequence developed alluvial fan, braided river, braided river delta, ...lacustrine facies, as well as the littoral and shallow beaches dam and semi-deep lake turbidite fan. The braided river delta often extends over tens to thousands of square kilometers, and glutenite in subaqueous distributary channel and hydracarbon source rocks frequently deposited with alternative, which constitutes a good source-reserve-seal association in the vertical direction with preferable oil and gas reservoir properties on account of its better rock sorting and the crossrange continuance and connectedness of glutenite. Braided river delta in this region is composed of braided river delta plain subfacies, braided river delta front subfacies and pre-braided river delta subfacies. The plain subfacies is composed of braided channel characterized by various colors, rough granules, poorly graded and erode and stuffed structure existing at the bottom as well as the flood plain formed by migration and flap of the braided channel. What's more, front subfacies chiefly developed all kinds of microfacies, such as distributary channel, mouth bar, distal bar, sand sheet and subaqueous inter-distributary channel.
