The aim of the study was to increase diagnostic sensitivity for identification of A. baumannii bv. tryptophandestruens bacteria and assess prevalence of this biovar and its subbiovars among A. ...baumannii clinical isolates. There were examined 210 primary strains of A. baumannii isolated in 20212022 at Bacteriological Laboratory of the Military Medical Academy named after S.M. Kirov, of which 42 strains were A. baumannii bv. tryptophandestruens. Tryptophandestruens biovar bacteria were identified by chromogenic biotransformation of sodium benzoate on a dense nutrient medium (g/l): peptone enzymatic 5.0; NaCl 5.0; FeCl3 6H2O (10% aqueous solution) 0.11 ml; bromothymol blue (1.6% aqueous solution) 3 ml; agar 15.0; NaOH (4% solution) 2.63 ml; distilled water 1 l; all components were dissolved by heating and added with sodium benzoate (CAS 532-32-1) 1.02.0; adjusted pH 7.20.2; sterilized at 121С, poured into Petri dishes. Bacteria of subbiovars A and B of biovar tryptophandestruens were identified by chromogenic biotransformation of L-tryptophan using the same nutrient medium supplemented with L-tryptophan (1.02.0 g/l) instead of sodium benzoate. Both nutrient media were used simultaneously. The A. baumannii cultures studied were seeded with a loop on the media sectors in the form of a plaque, incubated aerobically at 37С for 1824 hours, and analyzed final data as follows: the presence of a dark brown color zone of the nutrient medium around bacterial lawn on sodium benzoate- and L-tryptophan-containing medium indicated detection of subbiovar A of the tryptophandestruens biovar; in case of dark brown zone on sodium benzoate- but not L-tryptophan-containing medium around bacterial lawn identified biovar tryptophandestruens subbiovar B. The study revealed for the first time the chromogenic biotransformation of sodium benzoate (benzoic acid) and its importance as a marker for the biovar tryptophandestruens A. baumannii. Two subbiovars A and B of the tryptophandestruens biovar were found. A method was developed to identify the biovar tryptophandestruens A. baumannii and its subbiovars A and B by chromogenic biotransformation of sodium benzoate and L-tryptophan, which enhances diagnostic sensitivity by detecting the subbiovar B. The frequency of tryptophandestruens biovar distribution among primary clinical isolates of A. baumannii in 20212022 was determined: out of 210 strains of A. baumannii were 42 (20.03.5%) strains of bv. tryptophandestruens including subbiovar A 27 (12.92.3%), subbiovar B 15 (7.11.7%).
Murashkoite, FeP, is a new mineral found in pyrometamorphic rocks of the Hatrurim Formation, South Levant. It is a typical accessory phase in the marbles and paralavas in the southern Negev Desert, ...Israel and on the Transjordan Plateau, Jordan. Murashkoite occurs as grains and aggregates up to 2 mm closely associated with barringerite, (Fe,Ni)

, on compression to 47 GPa has been studied by synchrotron-based in situ high-pressure single-crystal X-ray diffraction at room temperature in a ...diamond anvil cell. In the studied pressure range no obvious phase transitions have been observed. The compression of hingganite-(Y) crystal structure is anisotropic, with

axis showing the maximal compressibility. A fit of the experimental pressure–volume data by the Birch-Murnaghan third-order equation of state yielded the bulk modulus of 131(2) GPa and its pressure first derivative of 3.5(2). The difference between high-pressure behaviour of hingganite-(Y) and structurally related datolite is governed by the different chemical nature of interlayer cations.

forms stable natural populations in East Asia and southern Siberia and spreading invasive populations in Europe, Africa, North America, and South America in ...regions with temperate and subtropical climate. The polymorphism of the mitochondrial genome control region was characterized in population samples from populations of the native range and invasive range in Europe. The division of the native range into the eastern and western groups and the closeness of the invasive population to the eastern population group were confirmed. Haplotype diversity is maximal in the population of the

eastern population group and is reduced in the invasive population. The stability of the haplotype composition of the mitochondrial gene pool in the European invasive population in the process of the invasive range expansion was demonstrated.
Thermal expansion of Ba silicates with tetrahedrally coordinated Si atoms in the temperature range of 25–1100°C had been studied by high-temperature X-ray powder diffraction. The volume thermal ...expansion coefficients (TECs) are in the range 41–50×10−6°C−1 with an average value of 〈αV〉=45×10−6°C−1. In the structures with chain and layered silicate anions, thermal expansion is anisotropic: the direction of maximal TEC is parallel to the extension of the zweier chains of silicate tetrahedra, which are strained owing to the interactions with Ba2+. The strain is released during thermal expansion due to the increasing effective size of Ba2+ induced by thermal vibrations. Information-theoretic analysis of the structural and topological complexities of Ba silicates indicates that their structural complexity is a function of the topological complexity of their silicate anions. The latter displays a non-linear behaviour with increasing SiO2 content (=the increasing degree of polymerization and increasing dimensionality): it starts from simple topologies, reaches a maximum at topologies of intermediate complexity, and ends up at simple topologies again. The specificity of the interactions of Ba2+ with the silicate anions results in higher complexity of high-temperature α-BaSi2O5 compared to that of low-temperature β-BaSi2O5. This uncommon behaviour may be explained by the vibrational advantages provided by flatter and more complex silicate layers in the α-phase, which overcome negative differences in configurational entropies of the two modifications apparent in the differences of their structural Shannon information.
Structural complexity measured as a Shannon structural information behaves non-linearly in the BaO–SiO2 composition range. Display omitted
•Thermal expansion coefficients have been determined for Ba silicates with tetrahedrally coordinated Si.•Structural complexity of Ba silicates estimated for the first time using Shannon information measures.•Structural complexity of Ba silicates is a linear function of topological complexity of tetrahedral units.•Anisotropy of thermal expansion of Ba silicates is controlled by the interaction of Ba2+ ions with silicate anions.
In recent years, the application of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) has been recognized as a promising method for treatment of different diseases associated with inflammation and sclerosis, which ...include nephrotuberculosis. The aim of our study is to investigate the effectiveness of MSCs in the complex therapy of experimental rabbit kidney tuberculosis and to evaluate the effect of cell therapy on the reparative processes. Methods: To simulate kidney tuberculosis, a suspension of the standard strain Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv (10
CFU) was used, which was injected into the cortical layer of the lower pole parenchyma of the left kidney under ultrasound control in rabbits. Anti-tuberculosis therapy (aTBT) was started on the 18th day after infection. MSCs (5 × 10
cells) were transplanted intravenously after the start of aTBT. Results: 2.5 months after infection, all animals showed renal failure. Conducted aTBT significantly reduced the level of albumin, ceruloplasmin, elastase and the severity of disorders in the proteinase/inhibitor system and increased the productive nature of inflammation. A month after MSC transplantation, the level of inflammatory reaction activity proteins decreased, the area of specific and destructive inflammation in kidneys decreased and the formation of mature connective tissue was noted, which indicates the reparative reaction activation.
The study substantiates the importance of studying the problem of human resource development in the context of the digital transformation of the economy at the regional level. The conducted ...scientometric analysis made it possible to identify key thematic clusters of research on this issue and show that the digital context is combined with issues of human health, competencies, government intervention, and management issues. With this in mind, the factors affecting human resource development in the region are determined based on the use of quantitative and qualitative analysis methods. This made it possible to build a cognitive map reflecting the relationship of human resources as a concept with other components of the socio-economic system at the meso-level. The analysis of the cognitive map allowed us to conclude that the system is unstable to disturbances in combination with its structural stability. Based on the study of the mutual influence of the peaks and the development of an experiment plan, cognitive modeling of the development of human resources in the region was implemented. The study presents two scenarios of the development of events, which show that the presented cognitive model can be used to develop strategies for the development of human resources as it allows us to identify the most significant factors for determining effective regulatory influences.
