In the title compound, C29H23ClN4O4, the quinazoline-indole system and the indolin-2-one system are each essentially planar, with maximum deviations from their mean planes of 0.150 (2) and 0.072 (2) ...Å, respectively. The central pyrrolidine ring adopts a twisted conformation on the C-C bond involving the spiro C atoms. Its mean plane forms dihedral angles of 83.37 (9) and 86.56 (8)°, respectively, with the indole rings of the indolin-2-one and quinazoline-indole systems. In the crystal, molecules are linked via pairs of N-H...O hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers. The dimers are linked via C-H...O hydrogen bonds, forming chains propagating along 001.
In this paper, the birnessite nanorods (BN) were synthesized by microwave-assisted hydrothermal method and was characterized by powder X-ray diffraction measurements (XRD), scanning electron ...microscopy (SEM) with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), and surface area (BET) analyzer. These results confirm the formation of birnessite nanorods. The catalytic decomposition profile of methylene blue by birnessite nanorods was tested. The effect of oxidants peroxomonosulfate (PMS) and peroxodisulfate (PDS) was compared with hydrogen peroxide (H

). Among these oxidants, PDS exhibits a high degree of decomposition of more than 80 % mineralization, achieved in 4 h when compared to PMS and H

. The decomposition was examined using varying amount of catalyst, which showed the dye decomposition activity to be proportional to the amount of the catalyst. The powder XRD studies showed no changes in the structure of birnessite nanorods, implying that these reactions are surface controlled.
This study investigated the possible role of the cardiac isoform of alpha 2-macroglobulin (CA2M) as an early diagnostic marker for HIV-associated cardiovascular manifestations. A total of 349 samples ...were analysed by Western blot and quantified by sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The levels of CA2M present in sera of HIV-associated cardiac diseases were significantly higher than those of HIV without cardiac involvement and healthy sera. CA2M may act as a novel diagnostic marker to identify cardiac manifestations in HIV/AIDS patients.

Optical lattice filter structures including gains are introduced and analyzed. The photonic realization of the active, adaptive lattice filter is described. The algorithms which map between gains ...space and filter coefficients space are presented and studied. The sensitivities of filter parameters with respect to gains are derived and calculated. An example which is relevant to adaptive signal processing is also provided.
Internet transmission and switching facilities are partitioned into different administrative
domains. To effect routing between domains, domain
border routers establish pairwise peering sessions and ...exchange routing information at
exchange points. An alternative arrangement, in which each border router at an exchange point peers only with a
Route Server, provides some operational benefits.
From a set-theoretic characterization of border router behavior, we derive a set-theoretic expression that completely and succinctly characterizes Route Server functionality. Performance measurements from our Route Server implementation reveal that the storage requirements of Route Servers can be much larger than that of a typical border router. We discuss a variety of techniques that can, in some cases, reduce Route Server storage requirements by a factor of five or more.
In the title compound, C36H30N4O3, the quinoxaline-indene system is roughly planar, with a maximum deviation from the mean plane of 0.218 Å for the C atom shared with the central pyrrolidine ring. ...This latter ring forms dihedral angles of 84.54 (7) and 83.91 (8)° with the quinoxaline-indene system and the indole ring, respectively. The central pyrrolidine ring has an envelope conformation with the N atom as the flap, while the pyrrolidine and five-membered rings of the indole group adopt twisted conformation and envelope (with the C atom bearing the quinoxaline-indene system as the flap) conformations, respectively. In the crystal, molecules are linked via weak C-H...N hydrogen bonds, forming a chain running along 100.
In the title compound, C41H32N6O2S, the pyrrolothiazole ring system is folded about the bridging N-C bond. The thiazolidine and pyrrolidine rings adopt envelope (with the fused C atom as the flap) ...and twisted conformations, respectively. The two phenyl rings attached to the pyrazole ring are twisted from the plane of the latter by 6.8 (1) and 52.8 (1)°. The allyl group is disordered over two conformations in a 0.805 (6):0.195 (6) ratio. In the crystal, pairs of N-H...O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into centrosymmetric dimers.

The title mol-ecule, CoCl2(C5H5N)2(H2O)2, has -1 symmetry with the Co(II) ion situated on an inversion centre. The cation has a distorted octa-hedral coordination environment and is surrounded by two ...N and two Cl atoms in the equatorial plane, while the coordinating water O atoms occupy the axial positions. The crystal exhibits nonmerohedral twinning with two domain states, the volume fractions of which were refined to 0.883 (2) and 0.117 (3). The crystal packing is stabilized by O-H⋯Cl hydrogen-bond inter-actions, forming two-dimensional networks lying parallel to (001). The crystal packing also features π-π inter-actions between the pyridine rings, with centroid-centroid separations of 3.493 (3) and 3.545 (3) Å.
