We present zircon U–Pb ages, major and trace element analyses, and zircon Hf isotope data on the Late Cretaceous–Paleocene granitoids at the southern end of the Sikhote-Alin Orogenic Belt of the ...Russian Far East. These data are used to discuss the petrogenesis of the granitoids in the context of the paleo-Pacific subduction beneath the eastern Eurasia. Zircons from four granitoid samples give emplacement ages of ~56, ~83, ~91, and ~92Ma. These granitoids with high SiO2 (73.43–76.76wt%) are metaluminous to weakly peraluminous (A/CNK=0.97–1.03) and belong to the high-K calc-alkaline series (K2O=3.75–4.95wt%). They are all enriched in light rare earth elements (LREEs) and large ion lithophile elements (LILEs), and relatively depleted in high field strength elements (HFSEs) with striking depletion also in Ba, Sr, P and Eu. They are petrographically and geochemically consistent with being of I-type granitoids. The zircons have εHf (t) values (−0.8 to +7.6) higher than whole-rock εHf (t) values predicted from whole-rock εNd (t) (−4.1 to +0.5) in the literature. All these observations suggest that primary magmas parental to these granitoids were likely to have derived from partial melting of a juvenile lower crust accompanied by assimilation with ancient mature crust during magma ascent and evolution. A recent study illustrates that the collision of an exotic terrane carried by the paleo-Pacific plate with the continental China at ~100Ma accreted the basement of the Chinese continental shelf (beneath East and South China Seas), and resulted in a new plate boundary of transform nature between the NNW moving paleo-Pacific plate and the eastern margin of the shelf. Our new data and analysis of existing data support this hypothesis, but we hypothesize that this transform becomes transpressional in its northern segment with oblique subduction of the paleo-Pacific plate beneath northeastern Asia as manifested by the Late Cretaceous-Paleocene granitoids in the Russian Far East-NE China (97–56Ma) and South Korea-SW Japan (96–71Ma). These tectonic and magmatic events took place prior to the opening of the Huanghai, Bohai and Japan seas, which are of rift-origin from continental China much later. Our study emphasizes the necessity and significance of plate tectonics reconstruction in the greater northwestern Pacific region since the Cretaceous.
•K2-E1 granitoids are identified at the southern end of the SAOB.•Their magmas were derived from partial melting of a juvenile crust assimilated by ancient material.•K2-E1 granitoids indicate the oblique subduction of the Paleo-Pacific plate.
A core question in language acquisition is whether children’s syntactic processing is experience-dependent and language-specific, or whether it is governed by abstract, universal syntactic machinery. ...We address this question by presenting corpus and on-line processing dat a from children learning Mandarin Chinese, a language that has been important in debates about the universality of parsing processes. The corpus data revealed that two different relative clause constructions in Mandarin are differentially used to modify syntactic subjects and objects. In the experiment, 4-year-old children’s eye-movements were recorded as they listened to the two RC construction types (e.g., Can you pick up the pig that pushed the sheep?). A permutation analysis showed that children’s ease of comprehension was closely aligned with the distributional frequencies, suggesting syntactic processing preferences are shaped by the input experience of these constructions.
A combined study of LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating and geochemical analyses (major and trace elements, and Hf isotopic compositions) for five Permian granitic plutons (Mingyi, Tuoyaozi, Mengjiagang, ...Hengtoushan, and Qingbei plutons) from the Jiamusi Massif was carried out to determine their ages, petrogenesis, and tectonic evolution. The studied granitic plutons are composed of syengranites, monzogranites, and granodiorites, and they were emplaced in the Early-Middle Permian (278–263Ma). These granitic plutons are mostly high-K calc-alkaline and weakly peraluminous, and show consistent correlations of different oxides versus SiO2. They are all enriched in large ion lithophile elements (e.g., Rb, Th, K) and light rare earth elements, and depleted in high field strength elements (e.g., Nb, Ta, Ti) and heavy rare earth elements. And they have relatively homogeneous Hf isotopic compositions, with εHf(t) values varying from −6.16 to +2.95 and two-stage model ages ranging from 1681 to 1111Ma. According to their emplacement ages, geochemical characteristics, and Hf isotopic compositions, we conclude that these granitoids might be originated from parental magmas with similar compositions but evolved different degrees of fractionation, and their magmas were derived from the partial melting of amphibolite-facies mafic lower crust. These data, combined with previous studies on contemporaneous magma-tectonic activities in the Jiamusi Massif and Songnen-Zhangguangcai Range Massif, indicate that two paralleled N-S trending Permian magmatic belts are distributed in these two massifs. The eastwards subduction of the Mudanjiang oceanic plate beneath the Jiamusi Massif induced crustal melting to produce the studied Permian N-S trending granitoids in the Jiamusi Massif. Furthermore, westwards subduction of the Mudanjiang oceanic plate beneath the Songnen-Zhangguangcai Range Massif gave rise to Permian magmatism along eastern margin of the Songnen-Zhangguangcai Range Massif. Taken together, we suggest that the Jiamusi Massif and Songnen-Zhangguangcai Range Massif were not collided before the Permian, and a double-side subduction model is favored for the tectonic evolution of the Mudanjiang Ocean during the Permian.

Stainless steel bipolar plates are regarded as a good substitute for traditional graphite bipolar plates in proton exchange membrane fuel cells. Stamping is a first selection for the manufacture of ...stainless steel bipolar plates. In addition to paying more attention to the stamping channel shape, a good prediction, and an efficient evaluation of the formed residual stress and thinning of bipolar plates are necessary. In this paper, the formed stress and deformation of SS304 stainless steel BPP with a thickness of 0.1 mm was investigated by a 2D plane strain FE model. Numerical results showed that formed BPP has a large residual stress, especially in the bending zone. Residual stresses distribution along the inner surface, outer surface, and direction of thickness was non-uniform. Geometrical dimensions have a great effect on residual stress and formed thickness. With an increase of the upper die width and die depth, the peak residual stress increased, and the formed thickness became less uniform. With an increase of the curve radius, the residual stress decreased, and the formed thickness became more uniform.

Studies have documented that child experiences such as external/environmental factors as well as internal factors jointly affect acquisition outcomes in child language. Thus far, the findings have ...been heavily skewed toward Indo-European languages and children in the Western, educated, industrialized, rich and democratic (WEIRD) societies. By contrast, this study features an understudied minority language Kam, and a group of so-called left-behind children in China growing up in a unique social-communicative environment.
Fifty-five bilingual children aged 5-9 acquiring Kam as home language were assessed using the Multilingual Assessment Instrument for Narratives (LITMUS MAIN). Twenty-three "two parents-left" children (mean age = 6;8, range: 5;0-9;2) remained in rural areas while both parents went to cities for employment, and they were raised by their grandparents. Thirty-two were "one parent-left" peers (mean age = 7;3, range: 5;0-9;3) who also resided in rural areas but were raised by one parent. Oral narrative texts were analysed for macrostructure based on story structure (SS), story complexity (SC) and internal state terms (IS). The study examined whether and how narrative production is predicted by internal factors such as chronological age and linguistic proficiency of a child and an external factor such as left-behind experience. Four measures were scored as outcome measures: SS, SC, IS type, IS token. Four measures were taken as predictors: chronological age, left-behind experience, scores in a lexical production task, and scores in a sentence repetition task tapping expressive morphosyntactic competence.
Results showed that left-behind experience consistently predicted all four outcome measures, where the "two parents-left" children scored significantly lower than their "one parent-left" peers. Expressive vocabulary scores predicted three measures: SS, SC, and IS Token. Expressive morphosyntactic scores predicted SS and SC. Age, by contrast, did not predict any outcome measure.
These findings suggested that being left-behind by both parents may be a negative prognostic indicator for the development and maintenance of heritage language abilities in ethnic minority children. We further discussed the conceptual significance of what it means for a child to be left-behind, by relating to more basic external factors in language development, including caregiver educational level, and amount of home language and literacy support by the caretakers.
•Heat transfer performance of a Lightnin stirred reactor coupled with draft tube has been investigated.•The optimized impeller off-bottom clearance has been obtained in the draft tube stirred ...tank.•The time-correlation variation of heating rate and synergistic angle has been investigated.•A correlation formula coupled by multifactor for enhancing heat transfer in a stirred tank has been proposed.
The heat transfer issue in stirred tanks is a prevalent concern in the industry. This article aims to investigate the fluid flow and heat transfer within a stirred tank equipped with a Lightnin A320 impeller coupled with a draft tube (DT) structure. The heat transfer performance of a 37 L jacket stirred tank is experimentally measured with the rotation speeds of 50 ‒ 300 RPM. The effects of off-bottom clearances and rotational speeds on mixing and heat transfer performance are explored using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) by flow patterns, local velocity, turbulent kinetic energy (TKE), helicity, vorticity, heat transfer coefficient, synergy angle, extensional efficiency, and coefficient of variation (CoV), respectively. The numerically predicted temperature curves have a good agreement with the experimental results. An optimal off-bottom clearance with C/D = 0.43 is found in this stirred tank. Furthermore, empirical correlations are developed to predict heat transfer performance by analyzing the relationship between wall heat transfer coefficient, power consumption, and heat transfer rate. By evaluating the variation of the temperature gradient synergy angle with time and rotational speed of the stirred tank, it was determined that a stabilization time of 120 s is required for the synergy angle. In the area outside the DT, 80 % of the region exhibits extensional efficiency values greater than 0.5. For 100 ‒ 300 RPM, achieving a CoV of 0.01 requires 48.36 %, 67.26 %, 76.81 %, 82.34 %, and 85.67 % less time compared to that of 50 RPM, respectively.

To evaluate the clinical efficacy of a phased Chinese herbal sitz bath for the treatment of complex anal fistula based on the traditional Chinese medicine theory of "Fuzheng Quxie."
We enrolled 200 ...patients with complex anal fistula who were hospitalized and treated surgically in the Department of Anorectal Medicine of Suining Central Hospital from June 2021 to December 2022. The patients were randomly divided into 2 groups of 100 patients each: sitz bath group 1 (postoperation, the patients used a sitz bath with a self-formulated decoction of "Qingre Zaoshi Zhitong" formula, once in the morning and once in the evening) and sitz bath group 2 (postoperation, the patients used the same decoction as the sitz bath group 1, and when the incision began to heal, the patients then used a sitz bath with a self-formulated decoction of "Yiqi Fuzheng" formula, once in the morning and once in the evening). Both groups were treated for 6 weeks. The assessments included wound symptom score, incision healing time, clinical efficacy after treatment, and serum-related growth factor concentrations and anorectal dynamics indicators before and after treatment.
After treatment, sitz bath group 2 had less wound pain, edema, exudate, and granulation growth scores than sitz bath group 1 (P < .05). Postoperative incision healing time was faster in sitz bath group 2 22.96 (1.96) d than in sitz bath group 1 26.19 (2.62) d (t = 9.872, P < .001). The total effective rate after treatment was higher in sitz bath group 2 96% (96/100) than in sitz bath group 1 88% (88/100) (χ2 = 4.4, P = .04). Serum transforming growth factor β, epidermal growth factor, and basic fibroblast growth factor concentrations were higher in both groups after treatment than before treatment, and the concentrations of the growth factors after treatment were higher for sitz bath group 2 than for sitz bath group 1 (P < .001). Anal rest pressure and anal maximum contraction pressure were higher in both groups after treatment than before treatment, and the pressures after treatment were higher for sitz bath group 2 than for sitz bath group 1 (P < .05).
Based on the theory of Fuzheng Quxie, the effectiveness and superiority of a phased Chinese herbal sitz bath for the treatment of complex anal fistula were remarkable, which could promote the improvement of wound symptoms and anal function. This may be related to increases in growth factor concentrations and anorectal dynamics indicators.
To evaluate the clinical efficacy of discriminative Chinese herbs combined with levator ani muscle training in improving diarrhea-type defecation habit changes and other complications after Dixon ...surgery for rectal cancer.
200 patients with Dixon surgery for rectal cancer who were hospitalized in the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery of Suining Central Hospital from June 2021 to December 2022 were selected, and all patients were divided into 100 cases each in the control and experimental groups by the random number table method. The control group was taken Live Combined Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus Tablets and Montmorillonite Powder orally after surgery, and the experimental group was treated by discriminative Chinese herbs combined with levator ani muscle training after surgery. Both groups adhered to treatment until 3 months postoperatively. The anal rectal pressure was assessed in both groups at 3 months postoperatively, the anal function and European Organization for Research and Treatment of cancer quality of life questionnaire-colorectal cancer 30 (EORTC QLQ-C30) score before and after treatment were compared between the two groups and the incidence of other perianal complications at 3 months postoperatively was counted.
After treatment, the anal canal rest pressure (ARP) in the experimental group (50.80±7.80) mmHg was higher than that in the control group (46.64±7.92) mmHg (P < .05), and the anal canal maximum contraction pressure (AMCP) in the experimental group (89.81±19.39) mmHg was higher than that in the control group (72.02±17.27) mmHg (P < .05). Before treatment, there were 0, 14, 34, 34 and 52 persons with excellent, good, general and poor anal function in the control group and 0, 17, 28 and 55 persons in the experimental group, respectively, after treatment, there were 3, 36, 50, and 11 persons with excellent, good, general and poor anal function in the control group and 12, 44, 42 and 2 persons in the experimental group, respectively, after treatment, the anal function grade improved in both groups, and the experimental group was better than the control group (P < .05). After treatment, the functional modules and overall health scores of the EORTC QLQ-C30 scale increased in both groups compared with those before treatment, and the experimental group was higher than the control group (P < .05), after treatment, the frequency of symptom modules in the experimental group was lower than that before treatment and lower than that in the control group after treatment (P < .05). Within 3 months after surgery, the total incidence of other perianal complications in the control group was 16.00% (16/100), which was higher than the total incidence of other perianal complications in the experimental group 7.00% (7/100) (P < .05).
The treatment of diarrhea-type defecation habit changes after Dixon surgery for rectal cancer with discriminative Chinese herbs combined with levator ani muscle training is effective in enhancing patients' anal function, relieving diarrhea symptoms, improving survival quality and reducing the risk of other perianal complications.
