Recent advances in neuromorphic computing system have shown resistive random-access memory (ReRAM) can be used to efficiently implement compact parallel computing arrays, which are inherently ...suitable for neural networks that require large amounts of matrix-vector multiplications (MVMs). In this work, we proposed a neuromorphic computing system based on ReRAM synaptic array to implement bitwise neural networks. The system contains a ReRAM synaptic array for parallel computation of bitwise MVMs, and a field-programmable gate array for data buffering and processing. To deploy the network on the system, a customized training scheme was required to adapt the trained network to the characteristic of ReRAM synaptic array with bitwise weights and inputs. We also managed the resolution of partial sum to reduce the bit width requirement of sense amplifier, thereby reducing power consumption. The measurement results show that the ReRAM synaptic array consumed only 0.27mW at 1V supply by using 1-bit sense amplifier while the system still maintained 97.52% accuracy on MNIST dataset.

The concentration of CO2 exceed 800 ppm indoors,making people feel dizzy and uncomfortable. Therefore, this study shows how to reduce the CO2 concentration indoors by using ...solid membrane for gas separation.
In this investigation, the solid membrane is made by blending polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and poly(allylamine) PAA solution, coating on surface of reverse osmosis membrane via Spin Coater. The separation layer formed after dry. This separation layer is modified by hydroxyl and amine functional groups. Therefore, it will be more selective and enable to capture CO2. The result shows, when in lower input gas pressure, CO2 gas has larger gas permeability (GP) value than nitrogen at room temperature. When pressure is 0.75 cmHg, 1 wt% PVA+7 wt% PAA has greatest CO2/N2 gas selectivity ratio. The selectivity is 10.7.

The successful development of nickel-based catalyst Ni/Al2O3 electrode of the amperometric propylamine sensor. By screen printing method screen printed nickel catalyst on the ...alumina substrate, the study use the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis the morphology of the electrode surface, and the energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDX) examine the electrode surface crystal form during sensing propylamime, and XRD are aimed at the conditions of change scan cycles, calcination temperature, gas flow rate for crystal form analysis.

Through user experiment, this study aimed to know the effects the Density, Display size, and C/D gain on the Most Appropriate Target Size (MATS) and the performance, from users ...of different ages using pinch gestures to zoom and click on targets with a zoomable interface on a multi-touch screen.
Twenty participants (10 young and 10 elder adults) were recruited to perform the zoom-and-click experimental task on portable touch devices of three display sizes (5-inch, 7-inch, 10-inch). The experimental task was carried out under three different C/D gain (CDG=0.5, 1, 0), four kinds of different Density (DIV = 0, 0.5, 1, 2) and two bonus conditions to collect the most appropriate target size (MATS) together with the deviation from the target center (Deviation) and the operating time (Time) for subsequent analysis. The results showed that the average MATS was about 5.5mm. For users of different ages, the MATS for young people was about 4.1mm and for elder people was about 6.9mm, respectively. MA

Al-N co-doped p-type zinc oxide thin films were grown on c-plane sapphire substrates by pulsed laser deposition using N2 and O2 as growth gases. The crystal quality, electrical properties and optical properties of Al-N co-doped ZnMgO thin films were characterized by XRD, SEM, Hall experiment and UV-VIS transmission spectroscopy.
According to the measurement results, the prepared on the ZnO buffer layer on growth temperature 500°C, buffer layer deposition time 30 mins(laser shots : 18,000 shots), and growth pressure 0.1 torr (O2), there was good crystalline quality and optical transmittance of 85% or more, and good electrical properties of Al-N co-doped p-type ZnMgO film, the resistivity was 8.46×10-3 Ω.cm, the carrier mobility was 9.2 cm2/V·s, and the carrier concentration was 2.56×1019 cm-3.

In this thesis, we present an interactive method for recognizing flower on a flower image taken by a digital camera in the real scene. Shapes and colors of flower are very ...important features for recognizing, so fourteen features are used in our recognition system: three for shapes and eleven for colors. We provide an interactive method to limit the extraction area to solve the problem at extracting flower boundary in the overlapped flower image. Then we implement a normalized cost (NC) method for boundary extraction. Experiments are conducted on the
database of 348 flower images to demonstrate the performance of the method, results show the effectiveness for recognition.
