Evangelical Christians in Croatia and elsewhere in the world attempt to apply the principles of the Holy Scriptures in their daily lives, and their marriages and family lives are probably the most ...significant and most evident indicators of the success of that application. The first part of this article deals with the basics of biblical teaching on marriage and the family. In the second
part, the stance of evangelical Christians is outlined on topics such as sexual immorality, especially regarding sexual intercourse before marriage and outside of marriage, as well as their attitude on homosexuality. raising children and strengthening the family that include the establishment of living on the foundation of God’s Word, the establishment of biblical authority in the marriage and family, as well as the establishment of family priorities.
This text is a discussion about the role of the Bible in the daily life of Christians, especially in the process of making decisions. It offers answers to the question: Why is it necessary for a ...Christian to know God’s Word and to do God’s will? It also looks at the central role of the Bible, not only as the direct Word of God, but also as a historical guide that effectively and powerfully presents the history of the decisions made by individuals and nations regarding God’s will. In the central
part of the discussion, along with a biblical explanation of the power of God’s Word and its necessity for Christian living, answers are offered regarding the question as to what God’s will is, shortly explaining what it means to do God’s will in our daily lives, especially in the process of making decisions. In the third part, several steps are suggested regarding the application of the Bible in the process of making decisions.
Beginning with the historical development and the specification of the Pentecostal-Charismatic Movement, the first part of this article deals with the applied biblical ecclesiology of independent ...churches. Then it explains the role of the Holy Spirit in realizing and maintaining the
unity of Christians. The unity of Christians does not require or assume uniformity of
practice nor complete unanimity of teaching. Pentecostal churches excel in the various ways of worship and organizational structures, even in variety of teachings. The challenge for Christians today is living in unity without demanding that the worship, structure and the theology of the
churches be more uniform than those of the New Testament churches. Jesus Christ lives within Christians through the Holy Spirit dwelling in them, and Christians live in fellowship with one another by the Holy Spirit. While realizing God’s will, the Holy Spirit creates different fellowships with Christ’s disciples, binds them with one another and as a church. Most Pentecostals in Croatia do not support the ecumenical movement because they consider it to be founded not on biblical, but
rather, on humanistic principles. They do believe in the spiritual unity of Christians and support fellowship with all the biblically founded churches and communities.
