The research focuses on older adults attitude to migration and the way their attitude is formed through making films, which is interpreted through the transformative learning theory. The research ...method consisted of a case study of the international project RefugeesIN. Data collection was conducted by means of interviews and participant observation in the period 2017-2019. The research findings revealed that project participants developed an innovative strategy for older adult education through filmmaking, which led to transformative learning. The following was highlighted by project participants as important elements of transformative learning: empathy and identification, holistic learning, critical thinking and critical distance.

Migracije so pomemben zivljenjski prehod, ki ustvarja moznosti za ucenje tako na makro ...ravni ob soocanju posameznika s kulturnimi sistemi kot na makro ravni ob drobnih zgodbah individualnega izkusanja odnosov in prehodov. Biografsko ucenje obravnava kot proces, ki se dogaja v vsakdanjem zivljenju in pomeni re-/konstrukcijo identitete, znanja, vescin, stalisc in vrednot. V tem procesu je subjekt avtorefleksiven, aktiven 'producent' znanja in konstruiranja lastne identitete. Z ucenjem se preko refleksivne naracije in refleksivne prakse vsakdanjega zivljenja spreminja njegov zivljenjski svet. Namen clanka je analizirati biografsko ucenje in ga ob migracijah kot transformativnih izkusnjah opisati kot konceptualno orodje za njegovo raziskovanje The text presents migration experiences as a field of learning interpreted through the biographic learning theory. Migrations represent important life transitions creating learning opportunities both on the macro level by individuals facing cultural systems, and on the micro level through tiny stories of an individual's experiencing of relationships and transitions. The text deals with biographic learning as a process that takes place in everyday life and signifies a (re)construction of identity, knowledge, skills, attitudes and values. In this process, the subject is auto-reflective, an active 'producer' of knowledge and constructor of their own identity. With learning, their life sphere changes through reflective narration and reflective practices of everyday life. The purpose of the paper is to analyse biographic learning and to describe it as a conceptual tool used to research learning by means of migrations as transformative experiences. The article focuses on the migration experiences of women as a source for research into learning. The theoretical framework for the phenomenological research comprises biographical and transitional ...learning, i.e., biographical learning that takes place at life transitions. This kind of learning is considered as a process that occurs during experiences in everyday life that involve the reconstruction of identity, knowledge, skills, attitudes and values. Transitional learning theory is used because migrations represent important life passages that are complex heterogeneous experiences, creating possibilities for learning which are experienced in various ways by different individuals. The research is empirical, being based on the analysis of selected narratives of women who have immigrated to or emigrated from Slovenia. From the narrations themes are inductively designed that define learning as a cumulative process. The analysis of each thematic section identifies the strategies of learning and the types of knowledge involved. On the basis of these findings, a model for interpreting migration-related biographical learning is formed./Clanek obravnava ucenje in oblikovanje identitete pri zenskah z izkusnjo migracije. Teoreticni okvir za fenomenolosko empiricno raziskavo temelji na biografskem in tranzicijskem ucenju. Migracije predstavljajo pomembne segmente zivljenja, ki prinasajo kompleksne in heterogene izkusnje, kakor tudi moznosti za ucenje, ki jih posamezniki uresnicujejo na razlicne nacine. Empiricna raziskava temelji na analizi pripovedi izbranih zensk. Nase ugotovitve potrjujejo obstoj stirih strategij tranzicijskega ucenja, ki so pomembne za izgradnjo znanja. S pomocjo le-teh smo izoblikovali model za interpretacijo z migracijami povezanega biografskega ucenja.
