Računalnik je sestavni del bivalnega okolja. Z uvedbo moderne informacijske in komunikacijske tehnologije znotraj delovnih procesov se spreminja organizacija pisarniškega dela, kar vpliva na potrebne ...prostore ter posledično na zasnovo poslovnih zgradb. Neodvisnost, ki jo prinaša razvoj vedno novih, vedno bolj izdelanih, sofisticiranih in mobilnih pridobitev informacijske in komunikacijske revolucije, omogoča poleg dela v pisarni tudi delo na domu, v vlaku, hotelu ali celo na plaži, travniku, v parku. Poimenujemo ga delo na daljavo. Ena od novejših različic tega tipa prinaša kombinacijo dela v pisarni in na domu. Gre za koncept deljene pisarne, kjer zaposleni večino samostojnega dela opravijo doma, medtem ko se v pisarno odpravljajo zgolj za sestanke, posvete in druge oblike skupinskega dela. Pisarniška poslopja prihodnosti bodo zato v prvi vrsti namenjena delovnim procesom, pri katerih bosta potrebna skupno delovanje in usklajevanje, kar naj bi utrjevalo medsebojno zaupanje in občutek za skupnost. To bodo kraji spoznavanja in komuniciranja, kjer se ljudje srečujejo in izmenjujejo svoja mnenja. Arhitektura tako dobiva katalitično funkcijo povezovanja.
The computer has become an integral part of our environment. With the integration of information and communication technologies into the working process the organization of office work is rapidly ...changing, influencing the office spaces as well as office buildings. The continuous evolution of sophisticated and mobile devices, developed as a result of information and communication revolution, enables us not only to work in the office but also at home, on the train, in hotels or even on the beach, in the park. The common name for this kind of activity is teleworking. One of the latest varieties is the combination of mobile work and home office that was called Sharing office. The workers usually perform most of their tasks at home and only come to office for briefings, meetings or similar kind of operation. The office building of the future will therefore be created with the purpose to connect and unite workers for common tasks and reconciliation. It will become the center point for people to meet and communicate. Architecture will therefore take upon itself the catalyst function.
The effect of different water matrices on the photocatalytic degradation of dissolved pharmaceuticals was explored. The focus was on the degradation efficiencies in wastewater effluent from a ...bioreactor and water effluent from a central wastewater treatment plant and comparing the results with degradation in deionized H2O. The compounds tested included: oxytetracycline, marbofloxacin, ibuprofen, diclofenac, phenytoin, ciprofloxacin, sulfamethoxazole. For the experiments performed in this study, a compact packed-bed photocatalytic reactor was used in which the hybrid TiO2 photocatalyst (sol-gel/P25) was deposited on ∼3 mm glass beads. As expected, the reactions proceed more slowly in wastewater than in deionized water, yet it is shown that removal of the compounds from the water is still possible even when other organic molecules are present. Total organic carbon measurements have shown that complete mineralization takes place albeit at slower rates than the initial degradation of parent compounds. The results show that an acidic pH can increase the reaction rates and the adsorption on the photocatalyst surface. Analyses of the degradation intermediates were performed using tandem liquid chromatography triple-quadrupole mass spectrometry system. Additionally, X-ray absorption spectroscopy was applied to get insight into the local structure of the photocatalyst before and after use. Understanding the effects that different wastewater compositions have on photocatalytic reactions will help to refine the potential applications of the technology.
Due to fast-paced technical development, companies are forced to modernise and update their equipment, as well as production planning methods. In the ordering process, the customer is interested not ...only in product specifications, but also in the manufacturing lead time by which the product will be completed. Therefore, companies strive towards setting an appealing but attainable manufacturing lead date. Manufacturing lead time depends on many different factors; therefore, it is difficult to predict. Estimation of manufacturing lead time is usually based on previous experience. In the following research, manufacturing lead time for tools for aluminium extrusion was estimated with Artificial Intelligence, more precisely, with Neural Networks. The research is based on the following input data; number of cavities, tool type, tool category, order type, number of orders in the last 3 days and tool diameter; while the only output data are the number of working days that are needed to manufacture the tool. An Artificial Neural Network (feed-forward neural network) was noted as a sufficiently accurate method and, therefore, appropriate for implementation in the company.
Introduction: LK-423 is a new phthalimido-desmuramyl-dipeptide derivative with immunomodulating activity. As optimized delivery to the site of action appears crucial for further preclinical ...development of LK-423, the aim of this study was to perform a physicochemical and preclinical pharmacokinetic and toxicological evaluation. Methods: The solubility, partition coefficient, permeability, and stability profile were determined. Pharmacokinetics were evaluated in rats following intravenous and oral application of LK-423, and in dogs after intravenous administration and oral administration of microcapsules, designed for colon-specific delivery of LK-423 based on pH-, time-, and enzyme-controlled release mechanisms. Additionally, the acute and subchronic toxicity was examined. Results and discussion: LK-423 is hydrophilic, sparingly to slightly soluble, and poorly permeable. Stability profile in aqueous solution is pH dependent. A pharmacokinetic study following intravenous application to rats and dogs revealed that LK-423 is rapidly eliminated with a short terminal phase half-life, and high plasma clearance, as well as a limited distribution to the peripheral tissue. Oral bioavailability of LK-423 is low, presumably due to low permeability. Debris of insoluble microcapsule coating in feces and obtained plasma concentration profiles confirm that LK-423 microcapsules are a promising approach for local treatment of inflammatory diseases of the large intestine. Acute and a subchronic toxicity results indicate that LK-423 is a safe and nontoxic drug under the applied experimental conditions.
