Visual observations performed by members of the International Public Organization Association of Underwater Activities of Crimea and Sevastopol have allowed for obtaining the abundance ...characteristics of brown meagre (
Sciaena umbra
Linnaeus, 1758) in the Crimean Black Sea waters. There have been 290 observations completed with an average duration of 4 h each and 64 fish specimens examined with a length (
SL
) of 31.4 ± 0.9 cm and weight of 830 ± 65 g in adult fish and
SL
13.5 ± 0.2 cm and weight of 78 ± 4 g in juveniles. The state of the species has not been evaluated as threatened. The distribution density is 2000–3100 ind./ km

. Adult fish up to 4 years old and ≤1000 g in weight account for 70% of the shoaling stock; individuals more than 1500 g in weight are few in numbers. Juveniles commonly form separate aggregations.
We present a summary of the recent results obtained with the novel hadron resonance gas model with the multicomponent hard-core repulsion which is extended to describe the mixtures of hadrons and ...light (anti-, hyper-)nuclei. A very accurate description is obtained for the hadronic and the light nuclei data measured by STAR at the collision energy sNN=200GeV and by ALICE at sNN=2.76TeV. The most striking result discussed here is that for the most probable chemical freeze-out scenario for the STAR energy the found parameters allow us to reproduce the values of the experimental ratios S3 and S¯3 without fitting.
Conducted an analysis of micro injuries in the organizations of the engineering industry. Established the main causes of micro injuries in the surveyed organizations. Characterized the importance of ...accounting for micro injuries in enterprises. We developed a procedure for monitoring the registration of micro injuries, based on the principle of "ease of execution". Developed a map of observations of micro-injuries. To assess injuries, it was proposed to use a comprehensive safety indicator.

is a real-valued function. Ridge functions play an important role both in approximation theory and mathematical physics and in the solution of applied problems. The present paper is of survey character. It addresses the problems of representation and approximation of multidimensional functions by finite sums of ridge functions. Analogs and generalizations of ridge functions are also considered.
We report on the spectroscopy and, for the first time to our knowledge, continuous-wave and Q-switched diode-pumped laser operation of Er,Yb:YVO4 crystal. Absorption and emission spectra of the ...crystal were determined. Lifetimes of Er3+ 4 I 13/2 and 4 I 11/2 levels that define laser performance of the crystal were measured and parameters of energy transfer between Yb3+ and Er3+ ions were estimated. cw output power of 115 mW with slope efficiency of 5.4% was achieved at 1604 nm. In the Q-switched mode an average output power of 81 mW with slope efficiency of 3.5% and pulse duration of 150 ns was obtained. In quasi-cw regime maximal peak power of 610 mW with slope efficiency of 6.7% was demonstrated.
Alkaline water electrolysers are widespread in many industries, including systems with hydrogen cycle of energy storage. One of the problems of modern alkaline water electrolysers is insufficient ...purity of generated electrolysis gases relative to electrolysis systems with solid-polymer electrolyte. In this regard, work on modification of existing porous diaphragms is actively carried out. One new area of research is the impregnation of new hydrophilic fillers into the composition of existing diaphragms and the transition to ion-solvate membranes. In this work the synthesis of zirconium hydroxide hydrogel inside a porous diaphragm with the hydrophilic filler TiO2 was carried out. This synthesis makes it possible to obtain a membrane with anion-exchange properties. A possible mechanism of OH- hydroxyl ion transfer by immobilized K+ ion was also proposed. The obtained results demonstrated the resistance of the membrane to concentrated alkaline solutions.
A class of models of a "dark sector" of particles consider new very weak interaction between the ordinary and dark matter transmitted by U'(1) gauge bosons A' (dark photons) mixing with ordinary ...photons. If such A's exist, they could be searched for in a light-shining-through-a-wall experiment in a high energy electron beam from the CERN SPS. A proposed search project suggests detection of the e+e- pairs produced in the A ' -> e+e - decays with a very small opening angle. Coordinate detectors based on the thin-wall drift tubes with a minimal material budget and a two-hit resolution for e+ and e- tracks separated by more than 0.5 mm are considered as an option for detecting such events.
The mathematical electrothermal model based on a finite element method in the universal ELCUT package is developed for calculation of electric and thermal values of an induction crucible furnace. ...Electric characteristics depending on the frequency, temperature and current of an inductor are studied. The nonstationary thermal task is solved. Two reference duties of the furnace are allocated and investigated: the cold mode when the crucible magnetic and temperature is lower Curie points and the hot mode when the melted molten metal, a crucible unmagnetized, temperature of a crucible is higher than a Curie point. The experimental stand consisting of the high-pitched adjustable transistor power supply, an inductive crucible furnace with a steel conductive crucible, a microprocessor control system and the system of acquisition is developed. The experiment on the laboratory furnace with a steel crucible with loading from aluminum alloy is made. Results of an experiment are comparable to results of mathematical model operation in an ELCUT package, the adequacy of results of a theoretical research is confirmed. Dependences of the fissile resistance and inductance on frequency, temperature and current in the form of surfaces in the environment of Simulink/Matlab are received. Results of the solution of a thermal task showed that the melted metal heats up evenly, temperatures of a crucible and metal are equal. The conducted theoretical and pilot researches form a basis for creation of structural electrothermal model of an induction crucible furnace of the increased frequency in the environment of Simulink/Matlab.
