This study analyzed the effects of ecological factors on secondary metabolites of
Scutellaria baicalensis
using two sources: 92 individual roots of
S. baicalensis
from all over China, and secondary ...metabolites, medicinal materials and inorganic element contents obtained from the testing of 92
S. baicalensis
rhizosphere soil samples. The study used environmental data from the Genuine Medicinal Material Spatial Analysis Database. Most of the chemical constituents of
S. baicalensis
were negatively correlated to latitude and positively correlated to temperature; generally, the contents of 21 chemical constituents were higher at low latitudes than that at high latitudes. By gradual regression analysis, it was found that the content of baicalin in
S. baicalensis
was negatively correlated to latitude and generally the content of inorganic elements in soil was excessively high (excluding Mg and Ca), which has a negative effect on the accumulation of chemical constituents in
S. baicalensis
. Based on the cluster analysis of 21 constituents,
S. baicalensis
from different places of origin was divided into two groups, and
S. baicalensis
was not genuine only in a specific small region. Within the zone from Chifeng, Inner Mongolia to Taibai, Shaanxi is suitable for accumulation of secondary metabolites of
S. baicalensis
and such a zone represents a suitable distribution and potential genuine producing area.
The 79 samples of Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix were collected based on the distributed information by document literature. Based on sample information, and using the regression model of Gentianae ...Macrophyllae Radix index component and environmental factors, and combined with the prediction results of ecological suitability by MaxEnt and principal component analysis results of index component, the space distribution of Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix was estimated with the spatial analysis function of ArcGIS. The results showed that it had a higher comprehensive quality in south of Shaanxi, south of Gansu, middle of Sichuan and southeast of Xizang. The study results were coinciding with the producing regions of Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix. It can provide reference for Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix resource conservation, development and utilization.
In landslide disaster prevention project, landslide profile is an important research object, which contains rich geological information of landslide. When we get the profile image of the landslide, ...if we can recommend several landslide cases with similar geological characteristics by the landslide profile image for research, the landslide disaster prevention project can be carried out quickly. In this paper, we propose a recommendation system based on similarity of landslide geological characteristics. The recommendation system is divided into two steps. Firstly, we construct a classification model to obtain the categories of landslide geological characteristics from the profile image by random forest algorithm and supervised machine learning approach. Then, according to the categories of landslide geological characteristics, the landslide case recommended model is constructed, and 5 landslide cases with similar geological characteristics are recommended for the landslide. According to the evaluation index of the recommendation system, the evaluation results show the effectiveness of the recommendation system.
Natural resources are indispensable for human survival and the protection and management of surface natural resources become more and more important. At present, remote sensing and deep learning ...approaches are using in land use and land cover area. In this paper, a U-Net model is developed to classify surface natural resources using GF-1 satellite images by semantic segmentation. Experiment results indicate the effectiveness of the U-Net model to segment the surface nature resources, which can be applied in practice to support the management of nature resources.
This paper investigates the direct upconversion sensitization luminescence of the ErYb co-doped oxyfluoride glass (ErYb: FOG), fluoride glass (ErYb: ZBLAN) and pentaphosphate noncrystalline (ErYb: ...PP) excited by a 966 nm diode laser. The splendid upconversion luminescence phenomenon is found. It is resulted from that the Yb3+ concentration in rather high, the energy transfer among Er(3+)-Yb3+ and Yb(3+)-Yb3+ ions is rather strong. An important fact is found that the direct upconversion sensitization luminescence of ErYb: FOG is about 100-100,000 times greater than that of ErYb: PP. And meanwhile it is interesting that the upconversion luminescence intensity of ErYb: FOG is near to that of ErYb: ZBLAN. It is significant to enhance the comprehensive level of up-conversion luminescence.
The aim of the present study was to investigate the expression of the pannexin (Panx) proteins, Panx1 and Panx2, in the temporal lobe tissue of patients with temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE). ...Immunohistochemistry and western blotting methods were used to localize and quantify Panx1 and Panx2 in the surgically removed brain tissue of patients with TLE (n=37). The results were then compared with non-epileptogenic controls (n=9). Panx1 and Panx2 expression was detected in the temporal lobe cortex of patients with TLE and in the control tissues. Panx1 and Panx2 proteins were expressed in all layers of the epileptic cortex, but predominantly in layers II and III of the cortex in the control group. Panx1 protein expression was significantly higher in the temporal lobe cortex of the patients with TLE than in the controls (P<0.05; t-test); however, no significant differences were identified in the Panx2 expression levels between the patients and the controls (P>0.05; t-test). The expression of the two Panx proteins in the tissue layers of the epileptic cortex varied in the patients and controls. The results indicate that Panx channels may be involved in the pathogenesis of TLE.
