Three bis(dithiocarbamate) derivatives of glycerol were obtained in 30−95% yields by reaction of a dithiocarbamic acid salt with 1,3-dichloro-1,3-dideoxyglycerol. The in vitro antifungal activity of ...the new compounds was evaluated against Alternaria brassicae, Pseudocercosporella herpotrichoides, Septoria nodorum, and Phytophtora cinnamomi. Some of the compounds displayed greater activity than commercial fungicides. Bis(N,N-diethyldithiocarbamoyl)-1,3-dideoxyglycerol (4) was found to maintain its pesticidal activity up to 24 days in open field tests against A. brassicae. In this work, we describe the optical properties of the single photoelectron (SPE) calibration system designed for NectarCAM, a camera proposed for the Medium Sized Telescopes (MST) of the Cherenkov ...Telescope Array (CTA). One of the goals of the SPE system, as integral part of the NectarCAM camera, consists in measuring with high accuracy the gain of its photo-detection chain. The SPE system is based on a white painted screen where light pulses are injected through a fishtail light guide from a dedicated flasher. The screen – placed 15 mm away from the focal plane – is mounted on an XY motorization that allows movements over all the camera plane. This allows in-situ measurements of the SPE spectra via a complete scan of the 1855 photo-multiplier tubes (PMTs) of NectarCAM. This calibration process will enable the reduction of the systematic uncertainties on the energy reconstruction of γ-rays coming from distant astronomical sources and detected by CTA.
We discuss the design of the screen used in the calibration system and we present its optical performances in terms of light homogeneity and timing of the signal.
Cet ouvrage rassemble les actes du Colloque transfrontalier et international « Vierges médiévales de Catalogue : mises en perspective » qui s’est déroulé à l’Université de Perpignan, les 1er et 2 ...décembre 2011, en parallèle avec l’exposition des Vierges romanes et gothiques des Pyrénées-Orientales proposée par le Centre de conservation et de restauration du Patrimoine. L’inventaire de ces Vierges, dirigé par Jean-Bernard Mathon, est publié en deuxième partie. Comme l’indique son titre, ce colloque a eu comme objectif d’élargir les points de vue sur ces Vierges des Pyrénées-Orientales, en les croisant avec d’autres apports, à partir de comparaisons avec des œuvres conservées tant en Espagne, qu’en Italie, qu’en Languedoc voisin, ou en Île de France et plus largement encore en Europe. Ces actes constituent donc un apport important à la connaissance des œuvres catalanes, en permettant d’en souligner la spécificité au sein d’un vaste corpus de Vierges à l’Enfant sur lesquelles les publications d’ensemble en français sont rares ou déjà anciennes. La seconde partie de ce volume présente le répertoire exhaustif et abondamment illustré des 150 Vierges à l'Enfant médiévales des Pyrénées-Orientales, étudiées du point de vue historique, technique, matériel et dévotionnel. Ce corpus départemental est le premier réalisé en France ; il ouvre ainsi de nouveaux horizons à la recherche.
À la mémoire de Françoise Baron (1930-2013), grande spécialiste de la sculpture médiévale et notamment des Vierges du XIVe siècle. Son enthousiasme et sa joie de vivre ont illuminé ces journées ...passées ensemble à Perpignan.
