Information technologies (ITs), including digital platforms and the Internet of things have dramatically supported prosumption behavior in value co-creation (VCC) development under the sharing ...economy perspective. However, privacy-safety risk (PSR) and prosumers' trust may significantly impact this transaction through digital platforms under the sharing economy. Therefore, this study examined the prosumption role as a mediator between PSR and VCC through a digital platform under the sharing economy. Moreover, the moderating role of prosumers' trust between prosumption and VCC has been explored. This study used quantitative methodology and data collected from Uber customers in Pakistan and DiDi customers in China. This study found that prosumption mediates the relationship between PSR and VCC and trust moderates the relationship between prosumption and VCC. This study portrays the influence of PSR and prosumers' trust factors to understand the prosumption and VCC relationship through a digital platform that provides a win-win outcome for customers and the company under the sharing economy perspective.
Purpose The novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which started in late December 2019, has spread to more than 200 countries. As no vaccine is yet available for this pandemic, government and health ...agencies are taking draconian steps to contain it. This pandemic is also trending on social media, particularly on Twitter. The purpose of this study is to explore and analyze the general public reactions to the COVID-19 outbreak on Twitter. Design/methodology/approach This study conducts a thematic analysis of COVID-19 tweets through VOSviewer to examine people’s reactions related to the COVID-19 outbreak in the world. Moreover, sequential pattern mining (SPM) techniques are used to find frequent words/patterns and their relationship in tweets. Findings Seven clusters (themes) were found through VOSviewer: Cluster 1 (green): public sentiments about COVID-19 in the USA. Cluster 2 (red): public sentiments about COVID-19 in Italy and Iran and a vaccine, Cluster 3 (purple): public sentiments about doomsday and science credibility. Cluster 4 (blue): public sentiments about COVID-19 in India. Cluster 5 (yellow): public sentiments about COVID-19’s emergence. Cluster 6 (light blue): public sentiments about COVID-19 in the Philippines. Cluster 7 (orange): Public sentiments about COVID-19 US Intelligence Report. The most frequent words/patterns discovered with SPM were “COVID-19,” “Coronavirus,” “Chinese virus” and the most frequent and high confidence sequential rules were related to “Coronavirus, testing, lockdown, China and Wuhan.” Research limitations/implications The methodology can be used to analyze the opinions/thoughts of the general public on Twitter and to categorize them accordingly. Moreover, the categories (generated by VOSviewer) can be correlated with the results obtained with pattern mining techniques. Social implications This study has a significant socio-economic impact as Twitter offers content posting and sharing to billions of users worldwide. Originality/value According to the authors’ best knowledge, this may be the first study to carry out a thematic analysis of COVID-19 tweets at a glance and mining the tweets with SPM to investigate how people reacted to the COVID-19 outbreak on Twitter.
Knowledge management has been the subject of much research in buyer-supplier relationship literature. Many of these studies outline the benefits attributed to buying and supplying firms as a result ...of knowledge sharing between its managers. However, it is important to note managers across firms can also deliberately hide knowledge from each other during their business interaction. This study fills this important gap. The analysis of this study is based on a pilot study comprising six semi-structured interviews with the managers of buying and supplying firms. The findings suggest that managers of buying and supplying firms experience five different types of antecedents during their business interaction. This paper provides theoretical contribution to supply chain knowledge management literature by proposing five antecedents of knowledge hiding in a buyer-supplier relationship. The findings of this study also have practical implications. Specifically, firms can use initial findings from this study to understand what compels their management to engage in knowledge hiding.
Value co-creation (VCC) is an emerging phenomenon in the business eco-system that has received scholars' attention over the past decade. This study explored most influential journals, institutions, ...countries and different research themes of VCC publications through bibliometric analysis. These publications were retrieved from Web of Science (WoS) and bibliometric analysis was conducted by VOSviewer. Our analysis shows that Industrial marketing management was the most productive journal in VCC publications. The USA, England and China ranked first, second and third in terms of total publications (TP) but there was a huge difference in terms of citations. Karlstad and Sydney Universities were the most productive institutions with respect to TP and citations respectively. Moreover, most influential countries and institutions (citing the same publications) were grouped through a bibliographic coupling. Five themes have been emerged outlining the explicit role of VCC in (1) sustainability, open innovation, sharing economy (2) customer participation and service quality (3) service science and resource integration (4) eco-system and social media (5) value co-destruction. This may be the first bibliometric study to explore the thematic analysis of VCC publications at a glance and researchers as well as students may find out the current status and potential research gaps of VCC research.
In literature, there is a shortage of comprehensive documents that can provide proper details about Twitter in research community. This study conducted a first descriptive bibliometric analysis to ...examine the most influential journals, institutions, and countries on Twitter. Similarly, bibliometric mapping analysis is carried out to explore different research themes in Twitter publications. This is the first bibliometric study that explores the overall contribution of SM publications in the KM field.
Superconducting fault current limiters (SCFCL) offer an attractive way to limit short-circuit currents in power systems. Analysis into electromagnetic and thermal behaviors of superconductor material ...is crucial in order to develop a novel design concept of a fault current limiter. A new scheme, which can treat electromagnetic field of the type-II superconductor under transient temperature field, is proposed. In this analysis, one of the critical state models, the Bean model was employed to determine the current distribution in the superconductors and effect of magnetic flux flow was also taken into account. Numerical results indicate that the flux flow strongly affects the stability against the quench in Bi-2212 material. High-T

superconductor material (Bi-2212) was chosen for the current limiting application. In order to investigate characteristics of the current-quenched Bi-2212 bulk, a 2-dimensional heat transfer equation was numerically solved using the finite element simulation. Heat distributions among the superconductor bars were also simulated and by comparing both the experimental and simulated results, it was found that non-uniformities in a current density or a temperature may exist in the quenching of bulk Bi-2212 superconductor.
