This article is devoted to formalization definitions with regard to object of social administration in volunteering. Such activities as volunteering have become the object of scientific research in ...the sociology of management only recently. There are many studies of volunteering that introduce a terminology of problem area, however, many scientific works have been created without taking into account the peculiarities of managerial influence. So, there is a need to adapt the volunteering terminology in relation to the sociology of management. This article is an attempt to describe, summarize and categorize terminology of volunteering activities. To introduce more relevant definitions of goals and objectives for such area of sociological study as volunteering was the main mission of this article. To do so, I have compiled the list of terminology relevant to the topic, as well as characterized different types of volunteers and areas of volunteering activities. After analyzing the collected data, I have presented the results as a mathematical graph. As a result of my the research, I have compiled terminology data base of volunteering activities and devised the graph thus allowing to describe the area of volunteering in all its diversity with more ease and precision.
In this work, we performed a comparative study of the formation of PML bodies by full-length PML isoforms and their C-terminal domains in the presence and absence of endogenous PML. Based on the ...analysis of the distribution of intrinsic disorder predisposition in the amino acid sequences of PML isoforms, regions starting from the amino acid residue 395 (i.e., sequences encoded by exons 4-6) were assigned as the C-terminal domains of these proteins. We demonstrate that each of the full-sized nuclear isoforms of PML is capable of forming nuclear liquid-droplet compartments in the absence of other PML isoforms. These droplets possess dynamic characteristics of the exchange with the nucleoplasm close to those observed in the wild-type cells. Only the C-terminal domains of the PML-II and PML-V isoforms are able to be included in the composition of the endogenous PML bodies, while being partially distributed in the nucleoplasm. The bodies formed by the C-terminal domain of the PML-II isoform are dynamic liquid droplet compartments, regardless of the presence or absence of endogenous PML. The C-terminal domain of PML-V forms dynamic liquid droplet compartments in the knockout cells (PML
), but when the C-terminus of the PML-V isoform is inserted into the existing endogenous PML bodies, the molecules of this protein cease to exchange with the nucleoplasm. It was demonstrated that the K490R substitution, which disrupts the PML sumoylation, promotes diffuse distribution of the C-terminal domains of PML-II and PML-V isoforms in endogenous PML knockout HeLa cells, but not in the wild-type cells. These data indicate the ability of the C-terminal domains of the PML-II and PML-V isoforms to form dynamic liquid droplet-like compartments, regardless of the ordered N-terminal RBCC motifs of the PML. This indicates a significant role of the non-specific interactions between the mostly disordered C-terminal domains of PML isoforms for the initiation of liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS) leading to the formation of PML bodies.
The results of an analysis of data from the SERP-Е-184 experiment devoted to studying mechanisms of the production of charmed particles in proton–nucleus interactions at 70 GeV and their decays are ...presented. The data in question were obtained upon irradiating the SVD-2 active target consisting of carbon, silicon, and lead plates with a beam of 70-GeV protons. A detailed simulation on the basis of the FRITIOF7.02 and GEANT3.21 code packages made it possible to optimize event-selection criteria and to calculate the detection efficiency for Λ
c
+
baryons. After selecting a signal from the threebody decay of a Λ
c
+
baryon, the inclusive cross section for its production at near-threshold energies, its lifetime, and the parameter of the
A
dependence of the cross section were found. The Λ
c
+
-baryon yields are tabulated along with data from other experiments and theoretical predictions.
Antioxidant protein Peroxiredoxin V (PrxV) is located in mitochondria and peroxisomes but is also present in the nucleus. Here, we show that nuclear PrxV associates with coilin‐containing bodies ...suggesting possible interaction of this protein with transcription complexes. We also studied etoposide‐induced phosphorylation of histone H2AX (γ‐H2AX) in human cells in which PrxV activity was downregulated (knockdown, KD‐clones) or compromised by overexpression of redox‐negative (RD) protein. In KD clones, but not in RD‐clones, formation of etoposide‐induced γ‐H2AX was increased, indicating that PrxV inhibits conversion of topoisomerase II cleavage complexes into double‐strand DNA breaks but this inhibition is not caused by its antioxidant activity.
The paper examines the mechanochemical activation of starting minerals (kaolin, pyrophyllite, and talcum) and their effect on the solid-phase synthesis and properties of cordierite. It is established that binary compounds and crystalline silica should be minimized to decrease the synthesis temperature of cordierite. Species composition of epigeic bryophytes of the Olexandria Dendrological Park, located in the northeast of the Right-Bank forest-steppe of Ukraine, was studied. The research was conducted in ...2017–2019. As a result, 40 species of 25 genera, 14 families, 7 orders, 2 classes, and 1 division were registered. A taxonomic analysis showed that the orders Hypnales (14 species), Pottiales (9 species) and Bryales (9 species) are represented best. The main families were as follows: Pottiaceae (9 species), Brachytheciaceae (7 species), Bryaceae (5 species), Amblystegiaceae and Mniaceae (4 species each). The most speciose were the genera Bryum (5 species), Brachythecium (4 species), Tortula (4 species) and Plagiomnium (3 species). Among the identified taxa, two species, (Barbula сonvoluta and Bryum rubens) are regionally rare in the Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine. In the historical part of Olexandria, five species Ceratodon purpureus, Oxyrrhynchium hians, Hypnum cupressiforme, Atrichum undulatum, and Bryum moravicum were the most common epigean bryophytes. In the western part of the Dendropark, the prevalent species were Atrichum undulatum, Bryum moravicum, Oxyrrhynchium hians, Hypnum cupressiforme, Brachytheciastrum velutinum, and Hygroamblystegium varium, in the central part – Bryum moravicum, Hypnum cupressiforme, Ceratodon purpureus, and in the eastern part – Fissidens taxifolius, Fissidens viridulus, and Brachythecium rutabulum. Twenty species (50 % of the identified taxa) were obligate epigees while the other 20 species belonged to the facultative epigees. In 2018, a new species to the Dendropark’s bryoflora, Ephemerum minutissimum, was found in an oakery (locality 14). It grew there together with Dicranella heteromalla, Bryum rubens, Barbula convoluta, Ceratodon purpureus, Tortula acaulon, and Weissia brachycarpa. This is the second record of E. minutissimum from Ukraine. The highest number of epigeic moss species was registered in the central part of Olexandria (29 taxa). At present, the epigeic bryoflora of the Dendropark’s historical part comprises 44 % of its whole bryoflora (90 species).
The stages of development and the current status of the versatile “Spectrometer with a Vertex Detector” setup designed for physics experiments at the U-70 accelerator of the Institute for High Energy ...Physics (Protvino) is described. The main detectors of the setup are the vertex detector based on silicon microstrip detectors, the wide-aperture magnetic spectrometer based on multiwire proportional chambers, and the lead-glass hodoscope γ detector. In the setup, there is a fast two-level trigger system for selecting required particle interactions. The key characteristics of the setup systems are presented, and the physical results obtained on it are briefly listed.
The results of E-190 experiment (project Thermalization) with 50 GeV proton beam irradiation of SVD-2 setup are presented. MC simulation has shown the linear dependence of number of photons detected ...in electromagnetic calorimeter and the average number of neutral pions. Multiplicity distribution of neutral pion, N0, for total number of particles in the event, Ntot = Nch + N0, are obtained with corrections on the setup acceptance, triggering and efficiency of the event reconstruction. The scaled variance of neutral pion fluctuations, ω = D/ < N0 >, versus total multiplicity is measured. The fluctuations increase at Ntot > 18. According to quantum statistics models this behavior can indicate a pion condensate formation in the high pion multiplicity system. This effect has been observed for the first time.
