The main goal of any society is to meet environmental standards with respect to basic economic requirements, despite all the problems it faces. After solving the major problems concerning the ...harmonization of environmental and economic goals, these goals could be adequately introduced in a mathematical model. In recent years, the economic theory of decision has been devoted to the methods of multi-criteria optimization of these problems. Minimum costs are regarded as an economic objective, and minimum emission as an environmental objective. In this paper we will emphasize the importance of introducing economic and environ- mental goals in models that deal with this problem. The implementation of successful economic policy is based on the optimal solutions of environmental modelling.
In this paper, we first define various types of 𝑘-regularity of ordered semigroups and various types of 𝑘-Archimedness of ordered semigroups. Also, we define the relations

on an ordered semigroup. Using these notions, filter, and radical subsets of an ideal, left ideal and bi-ideal of ordered semigroups we describe chains of 𝑘-Archimedean (left 𝑘-Archimedean, 𝑡-𝑘-Archimedean) ordered subsemigroups.
In this paper, we define various types of 𝑘-regularity of ordered semigroups and using generalizations of some Green's relations and its properties, are described the structure of band and complete ...semilattice of 𝓛𝑘-simple, ℐ𝑘-simple, 𝓑𝑘-simple, 𝓗𝑘-simple ordered semigroups.
Measurement and evaluation of the bank’s operations efficiency requires analytical techniques that provide data beyond those available from the standard analysis of financial statements. The Data ...Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a mathematical programming technique that offers valuable insights in finding inefficient banks taking into account the scope of the services and resources used to provide these banking services. The results of the DEA analysis can provide significant information to the bank’s management that can supplement the information obtained using traditional techniques for assessing efficiency. The assessment of banks’ efficiency in the Republic of Serbia is of particular importance due to intense competition and implemented banking reforms. Therefore, in this paper DEA analysis will be applied for the examination and assessment of the efficiency of the operations of Serbian banks during the period 2014-2016. The analysis will show which of the banks operates efficiently, where the efficiency of the banks is not at a satisfactory level, as well as the potential reasons for inefficiency.
In this paper on an arbitrary semigroup we define a few different types of relations and its congruence extensions. Also, we describe the structure of semigroups in which these relations are band ...congruences. The components of such obtained band decompositions are in some sense simple semigroups.
Local economic environment is characterised by a range of economic, social, political and demographic parameters, based on which we can perform its analysis. Heterogeneity of relevant characteristics ...of the local economic environment imposes multiple criteria analysis as one of the suitable tools for the evaluation. Assessment of local economic environment often falls within the scope of group decision-making, as it is usually performed on the basis of an analysis of preferences of economic subjects or relevant experts on the issue of the economic environment at the local level. Regardless of whether it is based on economic subjects or expert group, in order to form a multi-criteria model, it is necessary to generate preferences of individuals into a single weight coefficient, which shows groups’ preference on the importance of each criterion. The subject of this paper is determination of weight coefficients in the multi-criteria model for the analysis of local economic development based on the preferences from a group of experts, by applying adequate statistical tools, and then by ranking local governments according to the quality of business environment perceived by the expert group. In addition to descriptive statistics and testing the significance of differences, in the paper is applied multi-criteria method Simple Additive Weights - SAW.
Modern trends in society lead to the conclusion that the development of a country can not be based on a numerical increase in human resources, but only on raise of the creative and production quality ...of these resources, which is the exclusive task of the educational system. According to the indicators of investment in the development of the educational system, the Republic of Serbia is below the EU average. For this reason, one of the conditions that the Republic of Serbia needs to meet on its path towards the European Union is to achieve the European average spending on higher education. The subject of the research presented in this paper are the expenditures on education and competitivness of the economy in the Republic of Serbia and neighboring countries. Since the quality of education is one of the elements of economy competitiveness, it will be also analyzed in the paper. The aim of the paper is to examine the relation between expenditures on education, quality of education and competitiveness in the Republic of Serbia and neighboring countries. Appropriate statistical techniques will be used in order to analyse relation directions and forms between observed indicators. Data from the National Bank of Serbia, Eurostat and World Economic Forum reports will serve as an information basis for the analyses

Improvement of business is one of the primary goals of any business entity. One of the basic prerequisites for a successful business is the proper allocation of public resources. In this sense, the ...public procurement system is an important component in improving the efficiency of public finances, which are of special interest to modern society. This paper discusses the role and importance of the method of multi-criteria analysis for the evaluation of public procurement. The idea for this kind of analysis is the result of research into the possibility of applying different methods of decision making in the modern approach to decision making in the sector of public procurement. The emphasis is placed on those methods that use the alternative ranking. In addition to the theoretical dimension, the paper also presents one method of multi-criteria analysis, the AHP method, applied to empirical data obtained from the Gerontology center “Jelenac” in Aleksinac.
