We report the first measurement of absolute hadronic branching fractions of Λ_{c}^{+} baryon at the Λ_{c}^{+}Λover ¯_{c}^{-} production threshold, in the 30 years since the Λ_{c}^{+} discovery. In ...total, 12 Cabibbo-favored Λ_{c}^{+} hadronic decay modes are analyzed with a double-tag technique, based on a sample of 567 pb^{-1} of e^{+}e^{-} collisions at sqrts=4.599 GeV recorded with the BESIII detector. A global least-squares fitter is utilized to improve the measured precision. Among the measurements for twelve Λ_{c}^{+} decay modes, the branching fraction for Λ_{c}^{+}→pK^{-}π^{+} is determined to be (5.84±0.27±0.23)%, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. In addition, the measurements of the branching fractions of the other 11 Cabibbo-favored hadronic decay modes are significantly improved.
•Vibration and buckling analyses of FGM plates with cracks and cutouts under thermal-mechanical loads are studied.•The cracks and cutouts are modeled by the extended IGA based on PHT-splines and the ...finite cell method, respectively.•The flexible local refinement with C1-continuity around the internal defects is achieved by utilizing the PHT-splines.•The effects of gradient index, cutout size and other factors on the natural frequency and buckling parameter are studied.
In this paper, the vibration and buckling analyses of the FGM (functionally graded material) plates with multiple internal cracks and cutouts under thermal and mechanical loads are numerically investigated using the combined XIGA-PHT (extended isogeometric analysis based on PHT-splines) and FCM (finite cell method). Material properties are graded only in the thickness direction. The effective material properties are estimated by using either the rule of mixture or the Mori-Tanaka homogenization technique. The plate displacement field is based on the HSDT (higher-order shear deformation plate theory) without any requirement of the SCF (shear correction factor). The HSDT model can exactly represent the shear stress distribution and improve the accuracy of solutions. The PHT-splines can naturally fulfill the C1-continuous requirement of the HSDT model. The representation of internal defects is mesh-independent. The discontinuous and singular phenomena induced by the cracks are captured using the enrichment pattern in the XIGA, and the influence of cutouts is implemented by the FCM. The geometries of cutouts are captured by means of adaptive quadrature procedure based on a simple unfitted structural mesh, which avoids the need for multiple patches to describe the complex geometry and eliminates the enforcement of C1-continuity patch-coupling across the patch boundaries. The initial mesh density around the cracks and cutouts can be controlled flexibly utilizing the local refinement property of the PHT-splines. After validating the results of the developed approach with those available in the literature, the effects of material gradient index, side to thickness ratio, boundary conditions, cutout size and crack length on the normalized frequency and the critical buckling parameter are investigated. Numerical results illustrate the effectiveness and accuracy of the present approach.
The isogeometric analysis (IGA) is a new approach which builds a seamless connection between Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE). This approach which uses the B-Splines ...or the Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines (NURBS) as a geometric representation of the object is a discretization technology for numerical analysis. The IGA has advantages of capturing exact geometry and making the flexibility of refinement, which results in higher calculation accuracy. To study the static and dynamic characteristics of curvilinearly stiffened plates, the NURBS based isogeometric analysis approach is developed in this paper. We use this approach to analyze the static deformation, the free vibration and the vibration behavior in the presence of in-plane loads of curvilinearly stiffened plates. Furthermore, the large deformation and the large amplitude vibration of the curvilinearly stiffened plates are also studied based on the von Karman's large deformation theory. One of the superiorities of the present method in the analysis of the stiffened plates is that the element number is much less than commercial finite element software, whereas another advantage is that the mesh refinement process is much more convenient compared with traditional finite element method (FEM). Some numerical examples are shown to validate the correctness and superiority of the present method by comparing with the results from commercial software and finite element analysis.
Chemotherapy is a significant and effective therapeutic strategy that is frequently utilized in the treatment of cancer. Small molecular prodrug-based nanoassemblies (SMPDNAs) combine the benefits of ...both prodrugs and nanomedicine into a single nanoassembly with high drug loading, increased stability, and improved biocompatibility.
In this study, a disulfide bond inserted 7-ethyl-10-hydroxycamptothecin (SN38) prodrug was rationally designed and then used to prepare nanoassemblies (SNSS NAs) that were selectively activated by rich glutathione (GSH) in the tumor site. The characterization of SNSS NAs and the in vitro and in vivo evaluation of their antitumor effect on a pancreatic cancer model were performed.
In vitro findings demonstrated that SNSS NAs exhibited GSH-induced SN38 release and cytotoxicity. SNSS NAs have demonstrated a passive targeting effect on tumor tissues, a superior antitumor effect compared to irinotecan (CPT-11), and satisfactory biocompatibility with double dosage treatment.
The SNSS NAs developed in this study provide a new method for the preparation of SN38-based nano-delivery systems with improved antitumor effect and biosafety.

Using a low background data sample of 9.7×10^{5} J/ψ→γη^{'}, η^{'}→γπ^{+}π^{-} events, which are 2 orders of magnitude larger than those from the previous experiments, recorded with the BESIII ...detector at BEPCII, the decay dynamics of η^{'}→γπ^{+}π^{-} are studied with both model-dependent and model-independent approaches. The contributions of ω and the ρ(770)-ω interference are observed for the first time in the decays η^{'}→γπ^{+}π^{-} in both approaches. Additionally, a contribution from the box anomaly or the ρ(1450) resonance is required in the model-dependent approach, while the process specific part of the decay amplitude is determined in the model-independent approach.
SUMMARY
This study aims to explore the radiosensitivity of sunitinib on esophageal cancer cell lines. For in vitro studies, human esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) cell lines were treated ...with sunitinib 24 hours before irradiation. ESCC cell lines were treated with sunitinib with or without radiation. Cell proliferation was detected by Cell Counting Kit 8 assay. Radiosensitization was evaluated by clonogenic survival assay. Cell apoptosis and cell cycle analysis were detected by flow cytometry. Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) double-strand breaks were performed by immunocytofluorescence analysis. Western blot analysis was used to determine the effect of sunitinib on radiation induced signal transduction. Sunitinib potently sensitized ESCC cells to radiation with a sensitization enhancement ratio of 1.13–1.72. Furthermore, sunitinib increased radiation induced DNA double-strand breaks, promoted the apoptosis of ESCC cells and induced the G2/M arrest. Radiosensitization was accompanied with enhanced apoptosis and regulated by the intrinsic pathway of apoptosis. Sunitinib sensitized ESCC cells to the cytotoxic effects of radiation. This compound is promising for future clinical trials with chemoradiation in esophageal cancer.
