Accumulating evidence shows that, the dysregulation of circular RNAs (circRNAs) is associated with the progression of multiple malignancies. But, the underlying mechanisms by which has_circ_0032627 ...(circDLST) contributed to gastric cancer (GC) remain undocumented.
The expression and cellular localization of circDLST and its association with clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis in patients with GC was analysed by using fluorescence in situ hybridization. Gain- and loss-of-function experiments as well as a subcutaneous xenograft tumor model and a liver metastasis model from orthotopic implantation of GC tissues were conducted to assess the role of circDLST in GC cells. CircDLST specific binding with miR-502-5p was confirmed by dual luciferase gene report, RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP) assays and RIP-miRNA expression profiling. qRT-PCR and Western blot analysis was used to detect the effects of circDLST on miR-502-5p-mediated NRAS/MEK1/ERK1/2 signaling in GC cells.
The expression levels of circDLST were dramatically elevated in GC tissues as compared with the adjacent normal tissues, and acted as an independent prognostic factor of poor survival in patients with GC. Knockdown of circDLST inhibited the cell viability, colony formation, DNA synthesis, cell invasion and liver metastasis in vitro and in vivo, whereas overexpression of circDLST had the opposite effects. Furthermore, circDLST was co-localized with miR-502-5p in the cytoplasm of GC cells, and acted as a sponge of miR-502-3p in GC cells, which abrogated the tumor promoting effects of circDLST by inactivating the NRAS/MEK1/ERK1/2 signaling in GC cells.
CircDLST promotes the tumorigenesis and metastasis of GC cells by sponging miR-502-5p to activate the NRAS/MEK1/ERK1/2 signaling.
In this paper, the sinusoidal-ripple-current (SRC) charging strategy for a Li-ion battery is proposed. The ac-impedance analysis is used to explore the optimal charging frequency. Experiments ...indicate that the optimal charging performance can be achieved by the proposed SRC with the minimum-ac-impedance frequency fZ min. Compared with the conventional constant-current constant-voltage charging strategy, the charging time, the charging efficiency, the maximum rising temperature, and the lifetime of the Li-ion battery are improved by about 17%, 1.9%, 45.8%, and 16.1%, respectively.

, originating from the discretization effects at finite volume, is introduced. A generic formula has been derived for numerical computations of all the involved tensor coefficients. For the vanishing external three-momenta, we also investigate the feasibility of the conventional Passarino-Veltmann reduction of the tensor integrals in a finite volume. Our formulation can be easily used to realize the automation of the calculations of finite volume corrections to any interesting quantities at one-loop level. Besides, it provides finite volume result in a unique and concise form, which is suited for, e.g., carrying out precision determination of physical observable from modern lattice QCD data.
In this paper, we consider an Li-ion battery as a grey system. The grey prediction technique is then used to develop a grey-predicted Li-ion battery charge system (GP-LBCS). The proposed GP-LBCS is ...designed to replace the general constant-voltage (CV) mode using the GP mode to improve the Li-ion battery charge behavior. A GP algorithm is built in GP-LBCS to make the charge trajectories faster and safer. A 3-D Y-mesh diagram for describing the charge trajectories of the proposed GP-LBCS is simulated. A GP-LBCS prototype is designed and implemented to assess the charge performance. Experiments show that the charge speed and the charge efficiency of the proposed GP-LBCS, compared with the general constant-current-CV charge system, are increased above 23% and 1.6%, respectively. The charge speed and efficiency in the proposed GP mode are improved above 34% and 7%, respectively, compared with that in the general CV mode.
2D metal‐halide perovskites have attracted intense research interest due to superior long‐term stability under ambient environments. Compared to their 3D analog, the alternate arrangement of organic ...and inorganic layers leads to forming a multilayer quantum well (MQW), which endows 2D perovskites with anisotropic optoelectronic properties. In addition, the spacer layer functions as a hydrophobic barrier to effectively prevent 2D perovskite films from ion migration and moisture penetrating, thus realizing outstanding stability. Recently, 2D perovskites have been widely developed with abundant species. The stunning photovoltaic performance with the coexistence of long‐term stability and high‐power conversion efficiency (PCE) has been realized in 2D perovskite solar cells (PSCs), which paves an avenue for commercialization of PSCs. This review begins with an introduction of crystal structure and crystallization kinetics to illustrate the unique layer characters in 2D perovskites. Then, electron structure, excitons, dielectric confinement, and intrinsic stability properties are discussed in detail. Next, the photovoltaic performance based on recent Ruddlesden–Popper (RP), Dion–Jacobson (DJ), and alternating cations in the interlayer (ACI) phase 2D‐PSCs is comprehensively summarized. Finally, the confronting challenges and strategies toward structural design and optoelectronic studies of 2D perovskites are proposed to offer insight into the advanced underlying properties of this family of materials.
This review presents state‐of‐the‐art developments on 2D metal‐halide perovskite solar cells. The basic crystal structure, properties, and device photovoltaic performance on 2D perovskites are discussed in detail. Besides, the confronting challenges and corresponding strategies are proposed to offer insight into the underlying properties of this family of materials.
It is important to detect and classify foreign fibers in cotton, especially white and transparent foreign fibers, to produce subsequent yarn and textile quality. There are some problems in the actual ...cotton foreign fiber removing process, such as some foreign fibers missing inspection, low recognition accuracy of small foreign fibers, and low detection speed. A polarization imaging device of cotton foreign fiber was constructed based on the difference in optical properties and polarization characteristics between cotton fibers. An object detection and classification algorithm based on an improved YOLOv5 was proposed to achieve small foreign fiber recognition and classification. The methods were as follows: (1) The lightweight network Shufflenetv2 with the Hard-Swish activation function was used as the backbone feature extraction network to improve the detection speed and reduce the model volume. (2) The PANet network connection of YOLOv5 was modified to obtain a fine-grained feature map to improve the detection accuracy for small targets. (3) A CA attention module was added to the YOLOv5 network to increase the weight of the useful features while suppressing the weight of invalid features to improve the detection accuracy of foreign fiber targets. Moreover, we conducted ablation experiments on the improved strategy. The model volume, mAP@0.5, mAP@0.5:0.95, and FPS of the improved YOLOv5 were up to 0.75 MB, 96.9%, 59.9%, and 385 f/s, respectively, compared to YOLOv5, and the improved YOLOv5 increased by 1.03%, 7.13%, and 126.47%, respectively, which proves that the method can be applied to the vision system of an actual production line for cotton foreign fiber detection.

Our results in this work will not only be very useful for performing chiral extrapolations of future lattice QCD data, but also provide us chiral inputs for the investigation of the spectroscopy of doubly heavy baryons.
In this paper, a reflex charging strategy with the energy recovery function for a bidirectional converter (BC) is proposed to build a novel reflex-based BC (RBC) for increasing the battery charging ...efficiency in an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). The proposed RBC can provide a reflex charging current profile to charge the battery to obtain a high battery charging efficiency and prolong the battery life cycle. In particular, the negative pulse energy of the reflex charging current profile in the proposed RBC is recovered to reduce the battery charging dissipation. A soft transfer method is also developed in this paper to really erase the spike current in the RBC. A 400 W prototype is designed and implemented to verify the feasibility of the proposed RBC. Compared with a typical bidirectional converter, the battery charging efficiency, the battery charging speed, and the battery thermal deterioration effect are improved by about 10%, 8.8%, and 7%, respectively, with the proposed RBC.
The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of Bifidobacterium adolescentis (Bif) supplementation on visceral fat accumulation and insulin sensitivity of the metabolic syndrome in ...HF-diet-fed rats. Adult male Wistar rats (n 10 per group) were fed four different experimental diets for 12 weeks as follows: standard diet; high-fat (HF) diet; a mix of HF diet and Bif; a mix of standard diet and Bif. Liver, mesenteric fat, epididymal fat, retroperitoneal fat, and inguinal fat, pancreas and triceps surae in all four groups of the rats were weighed, while liver steatosis and insulin sensitivity were evaluated at the end point of the study. As the number of intestinal Bifidobacterium species decreased obviously, fat pad weight and body weight increased significantly in the HF group compared with in the other three groups (P <0·05). Addition of Bif led to a reduction in body weight and fat pad weight (P <0·05). With an increase in liver weight, more severe steatosis of hepatocytes was observed in the HF group compared with in the other three groups. A significant decrease of the glucose infusion rate and pancreas weight was found in the HF group (P <0·05). This deleterious effect was alleviated when Bif was added to the diets. Bifidobacterium supplementation ameliorated visceral fat accumulation and insulin sensitivity of the metabolic syndrome in HF-diet-fed rats.
Podocyte injury critically contributes to the pathogenesis of obesity-related glomerulopathy (ORG). Recently, lipid accumulation and inflammatory responses have been found to be involved in podocyte ...injury. This study is to explore their role and relationship in podocyte injury of ORG. In animal experiments, the ORG mice developed proteinuria, podocyte injury, and hypertriglyceridemia, accompanied with deregulated lipid metabolism, renal ectopic lipid deposition, activation of NOD-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome, and secretion of IL-1β of the kidney. The expression of adipose differentiation-related protein (ADRP), CD36, sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1 (SREBP-1), and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α (PPARα) in renal tissue were increased. In in vitro cell experiments, after cultured podocytes were stimulated with leptin, similar to ORG mice, we found aggravated podocyte injury, formatted lipid droplet, increased expression of ADRP and CD36, activated NLRP3 inflammasome, and released IL-1β. In addition, after blocking CD36 with inhibitor sulfo-N-succinimidyl oleate (SSO) or CD36 siRNA, activation of NLRP3 inflammasome and release of IL-1β are downregulated, and podocyte injury was alleviated. However, after blocking NLRP3 with MCC950, although podocyte injury was alleviated and release of IL-1β was decreased, there was no change in the expression of CD36, ADRP, and intracellular lipid droplets. Taken together, our study suggests that CD36-mediated lipid accumulation and activation of NLRP3 inflammasome may be one of the potential pathogeneses of ORG podocyte injury.
