Aim. To evaluate the effectiveness of hyaluronic acid anti-adhesion gel in surgical correction of distal tubal occlusion in restoring natural fertility in patients with infertility.
Materials and ...methods. A prospective cohort study was conducted. The main group (group 1) included 54 women; the comparison group (group 2) included 58 women with tuboperitoneal infertility due to distal occlusion of the fallopian tubes. In group 1 patients, at the final stage of endoscopic reconstructive plastic surgery on the surface of the fallopian tubes, anti-adhesion barrier Anti-adhesion was applied (5 mL per each operated fallopian tube). Primary outcomes (patency of the fallopian tubes after 3 months) and secondary outcomes (onset of uterine pregnancy during the first year) were assessed. Statistical results were processed using the IBM SPSS Statistics version 25.0 software package.
Results. Within 3 months after surgical treatment, the patency of the fallopian tubes was reported in 32 (59.3%) group 1 patients and 24 (41.4%) group 2 patients (2=3.445; p=0.064). The rate of uterine pregnancy in group 1 during the first year after surgical treatment was significantly higher than in group 2: 21 (38.9%) and 12 (20.7%) women, respectively (2=4.447; p=0.035).
Conclusion. Endoscopic reconstructive plastic surgeries using hyaluronic acid-based anti-adhesion gel in patients with distal tubal occlusion slightly reduces the frequency of postoperative reocclusions of the fallopian tubes within 3 months after surgical treatment and significantly increase the rate of uterine pregnancy during the year after surgery mainly due to patients with grade IIIIV of adhesive process in the pelvis.
The complex of climatic and geographical conditions of the Arctic determines the high intensity of the polysystem adaptive response of the organism, the duration of which is additionally influenced ...by individual genetic characteristics, social conditions, psychological and work loads. Taking into account the relevance of timely prevention and early diagnosis of stress-induced somatic pathology in EMERCOM employees working in unfavorable climatic and geographical zones, the authors evaluated the informative value of determining the level of steroid hormones and insulin as laboratory markers of adaptation to Arctic conditions. The expediency of developing objective criteria for the interpretation of the insulin/cortisol index and studying the informativeness of the 17ONprogesterone level as the earliest marker of adaptation to unfavorable climatic and geographical conditions of the Arctic is substantiated.
Spin-resolved photoemission is one of the most direct ways of measuring the magnetization of a ferromagnet. If all valence band electrons contribute, the measured average spin polarization is ...proportional to the magnetization. This is even the case if electronic excitations are present, and thus is of particular interest for studying the response of the magnetization to a pump laser pulse. Here, we demonstrate the feasibility of ultrafast spin-resolved photoemission using free electron laser (FEL) radiation and investigate the effect of space charge on the detected spin polarization. The sample is exposed to the radiation of the FEL FLASH in Hamburg. Surprisingly, the measured spin polarization depends on the fluence of the FEL radiation: a higher FEL fluence reduces the measured spin polarization. Space-charge simulations can explain this effect. These findings have consequences for future spin-polarized photoemission experiments using pulsed photon sources.
This paper presents the design and study of an optical fiber splitter with a uniformity of light distribution better than 10%. The main idea is to place the fibers equidistantly from the center, ...simplifying manufacturing and providing better uniformity of the light intensity compared to a beam splitter. Such a splitter is convenient to use for the mass characterization of photodetectors in single-photoelectron mode, because the same statistical accuracy is ensured during simultaneous testing.
In this paper we present the results of a study of a high-voltage 32-channel DAC AD5535 for powering silicon photomultipliers. Built-in high-voltage buffer amplifiers allow output voltage regulation ...in the range of up to 200 V which provides application for a broad SiPM types including their serial connection. The significant output current of 500 μA/ch allows biasing the SiPM arrays and assemblies. The documentation indicates a significant temperature dependence of
ppm/C which limits the use of DAC for SiPM powering. This work demonstrates the excellent temperature stability of the chip. Still since the manufacturer does not guarantee this an express method of channel-by-channel measurement of temperature dependence has been developed for a mass use of the AD5535 DAC
