We address the potential of measurements with boosted single-top final states at the high-luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) and possible future hadron colliders: the high-energy LHC (HE-LHC), and the future ...circular collider (FCC). As new physics examples to assess the potential, we consider the search for
tbW
anomalous couplings and for a weakly-coupled
W
′
boson. The FCC would improve by a factor of two the sensitivity to anomalous couplings of the HL-LHC. For
W
′
bosons, the FCC is sensitive to
W
′
couplings 2–5 times smaller than the HL-LHC in the mass range 2–4 TeV, and to masses up to 30 TeV in the case of Standard Model-like couplings.
Self-report measures are important in substance use assessment, yet they are susceptible to reporting errors. Urine drug screens (UDS) are often considered a more valid alternative. However, ...collecting in-person UDS may not always be feasible, contributing to the need to understand factors that influence the validity of self-reported substance use.
In this secondary analysis of data from 295 women with co-occurring PTSD and substance use disorders (SUD) who participated in a clinical trial testing behavioral interventions, we examined concordance and discordance between self-reported drug use and associated UDS results. Generalized linear mixed models were used to examine the impact of treatment type and participant characteristics on the associations between self-reported drug use and UDS results.
Findings revealed higher disagreement between self-report and UDS for opioids and sedatives (ranging from.77 to.90) and lower disagreement rates for cannabis and cocaine (ranging from.26 to.33). Treatment type was not a significant moderator of the associations between self-report and UDS across all drugs. Among those with a positive opioid UDS, those who reported employment in the past three years were more likely to self-report no opioid use compared to their counterparts without employment in the past three years.
Findings add to the literature that supports the validity of self-reported cannabis and cocaine use. The greater discrepancies between self-report and UDS test results of opioids and sedatives suggest adjunctive UDS may be required, although a variety of factors other than inaccurate self-report may be associated with this discrepancy.

We report on the properties of pre-main-sequence objects in the Taurus molecular clouds as observed in seven mid- and far-infrared bands with the Spitzer Space Telescope. There are 215 previously ...identified members of the Taurus star-forming region in our ~44 deg2 map these members exhibit a range of Spitzer colors that we take to define young stars still surrounded by circumstellar dust (noting that ~20% of the bona fide Taurus members exhibit no detectable dust excesses). We looked for new objects in the survey field with similar Spitzer properties, aided by extensive optical, X-ray, and ultraviolet imaging, and found 148 new candidate members of Taurus. We have obtained follow-up spectroscopy for about half the candidate sample, thus far confirming 34 new members, three probable new members, and 10 possible new members, an increase of 15%-20% in Taurus members. Of the objects for which we have spectroscopy, seven are now confirmed extragalactic objects, and one is a background Be star. The remaining 93 candidate objects await additional analysis and/or data to be confirmed or rejected as Taurus members. Most of the new members are Class II M stars and are located along the same cloud filaments as the previously identified Taurus members. Among non-members with Spitzer colors similar to young, dusty stars are evolved Be stars, planetary nebulae, carbon stars, galaxies, and active galactic nuclei.
To examine the test-retest reliability of the DSM-IV anxiety symptoms and disorders in children with the Anxiety Disorders Interview Schedule for DSM-IV: Child and Parent Versions (ADIS for ...DSM-IV:C/P).
Sixty-two children (aged 7-16 years) and their parents underwent two administrations of the ADIS for DSM-IV:C/P with a test-retest interval of 7 to 14 days.
Results revealed that the ADIS for DSM-IV:C/P is a reliable instrument for deriving DSM-IV anxiety disorder symptoms and diagnoses in children. The ADIS for DSM-IV:C/P was found to have excellent reliability in symptom scale scores for separation anxiety disorder, social phobia, specific phobia, and generalized anxiety disorder and good to excellent reliability for deriving combined diagnoses of these disorders, as well as using child-only and parent-only interview information. Reliability coefficients were generally similar and, in most instances, superior to those found in previous ADIS-C/P reliability studies. Limitations and directions for future research are discussed.

This plant-based diet was supplemented with arginine, threonine, methionine and lysine to reach the levels of the S-15 diet. A low-energy diet, S-8, was formulated with the very same feed ingredients as S-15, but dietary fish oil was reduced (8% crude fat, 21

). Triplicate groups of 20 fish with a mean initial body weight of 180
g were reared at 19
°C and fed the experimental diets using automatic feeders that distributed 4 meals a day, during 8
months. At the end of the experiment all groups reached commercial size (>
300
g). Dietary treatments did not affect mean final body weight. Daily growth index was generally low (0.4–0.5) and feed conversion ratio (FCR, range 2.5–2.9) did not vary significantly between treatments. Fish fed S-8 ingested fewer lipids, but its whole body or tissue lipid was equal to fish fed the S-15 and the S-15PP diets. Sole fed the S-15PP diet showed reduced plasma taurine and increased liver vacuolisation due to excess lipid storage. This diet also induced the highest Hepatosomatic index (HSI) and viscerosomatic index (VSI). Muscle, liver or skin total lipid content did not vary significantly amongst treatments. Whole body lipid content and plasma triglycerides were significantly lower in the S-15PP than in the S-15, and cholesterol showed the same trend. Protein gain (23–27
g/kg/day), whole body protein content (18–19% wet weight) and muscle protein content (19%) were not affected by the dietary treatments. Results indicate that replacement of dietary fish meal by a mixture of plant protein sources did not adversely affect growth, feed or protein utilisation of large-sized sole, but increased vacuolization and necrosis signs in hepatocytes. This could probably be avoided by an addition of taurine in the high PP diets. The cardiovascular protection and health beneficial properties associated with fish consumption can be achieved with sole either fed low-fat diets or plant protein based-diets, as confirmed by the still high levels of
n-
3 and DHA registered in the flesh of those fish.
Climate change has affected the geographical distributions of most species worldwide; in particular, insects of economic importance inhabiting tropical regions have been impacted. Current and future ...predictions of change in geographic distribution are frequently included in species distribution models (SDMs). The potential spatial distributions of the fruit fly Anastrepha striata Schiner, the main species of agricultural importance in guava crops, under current and possible future scenarios in Colombia were modeled, and the establishment risk was assessed for each guava-producing municipality in the country. SDMs were developed using 221 geographical records in conjunction with nine scenopoetic variables. The model for current climate conditions indicated an extensive suitable area for the establishment of A. striata in the Andean region, smaller areas in the Caribbean and Pacific, and almost no areas in the Orinoquia and Amazonian regions. A brief discussion regarding the area's suitability for the fly is offered. According to the results, altitude is one of the main factors that direct the distribution of A. striata in the tropics. The Colombian guava-producing municipalities were classified according to the degree of vulnerability to fly establishment as follows: 42 were high risk, 16 were intermediate risk, and 17 were low risk. The implementation of future integrated management plans must include optimal spatial data and must consider environmental aspects, such as those suggested by the models presented here. Control decisions should aim to mitigate the positive relationship between global warming and the increase in the dispersal area of the fruit fly.
The three PRL (phosphatases of regenerating liver) protein tyrosine phosphatases (PRL-1, -2 and -3) have been identified as key contributors to metastasis in several human cancers, yet the molecular ...basis of their pro-oncogenic property is unclear. Among the subfamily of PRL phosphatases, overexpression of PRL-2 in breast cancer cells has been shown to promote tumor growth by a mechanism that remains to be uncovered. Here we show that PRL-2 regulates intracellular magnesium levels by forming a functional heterodimer with the magnesium transporter CNNM3. We further reveal that CNNM3 is not a phosphorylated substrate of PRL-2, and that the interaction occurs through a loop unique to the CBS pair domains of CNNM3 that exists only in organisms having PRL orthologs. Supporting the role of PRL-2 in cellular magnesium transport is the observation that PRL-2 knockdown results in a substantial decrease of cellular magnesium influx. Furthermore, in PRL-2 knockout mice, serum magnesium levels were significantly elevated as compared with control animals, indicating a pivotal role for PRL-2 in regulating cellular magnesium homeostasis. Although the expression levels of CNNM3 remained unchanged after magnesium depletion of various cancer cell lines, the interaction between endogenous PRL-2 and CNNM3 was markedly increased. Importantly, xenograft tumor assays with CNNM3 and a mutant form that does not associate with PRL-2 confirm that CNNM3 is itself pro-oncogenic, and that the PRL-2/CNNM3 association is important for conferring transforming activities. This finding is further confirmed from data in human breast cancer tissues showing that CNNM3 levels correlate positively with both PRL-2 expression and the tumor proliferative index. In summary, we demonstrate that oncogenic PRL-2 controls tumor growth by modulating intracellular magnesium levels through binding with the CNNM3 magnesium transporter.
The retinoblastoma tumour suppressor (Rb) pathway is believed to have a critical role in the control of cellular proliferation by regulating E2F activities. E2F1, E2F2 and E2F3 belong to a subclass ...of E2F factors thought to act as transcriptional activators important for progression through the G1/S transition. Here we show, by taking a conditional gene targeting approach, that the combined loss of these three E2F factors severely affects E2F target expression and completely abolishes the ability of mouse embryonic fibroblasts to enter S phase, progress through mitosis and proliferate. Loss of E2F function results in an elevation of p21Cip1 protein, leading to a decrease in cyclin-dependent kinase activity and Rb phosphorylation. These findings suggest a function for this subclass of E2F transcriptional activators in a positive feedback loop, through down-modulation of p21Cip1, that leads to the inactivation of Rb-dependent repression and S phase entry. By targeting the entire subclass of E2F transcriptional activators we provide direct genetic evidence for their essential role in cell cycle progression, proliferation and development.
There is little information on pregnancy and delivery in patients with hereditary angioedema due to C1 inhibitor deficiency (C1INH-HAE). The aim of this study was to describe the effect of pregnancy ...and deliveries on symptoms of C1INH-HAE and review the need for and safety of treatments available during the study period.
Retrospective review using a purpose-designed questionnaire of 61 C1INH-HAE patients from 5 hospitals specialized in the management of HAE in Spain. The outcomes measured were number of pregnancies, changes in symptoms during pregnancy and delivery, mode of delivery, type of anesthesia during delivery, treatments received, and tolerance of treatments.
We reviewed 125 full-term pregnancies (89 without a prior diagnosis of C1INH-HAE), 14 miscarriages, and 4 induced abortions. Patients reported an increased frequency of C1INH-HAE symptoms in 59.2% of pregnancies (74/125) and the presence of symptoms throughout pregnancy in 40% (50/125). Prophylactic C1INH-HAE therapy was used during 9 (7.2%) of the 125 pregnancies. Nine patients--in 11 pregnancies (8.8 %)--received treatment for acute attacks. Most deliveries (n=110, 88%) were vaginal. A cesarean section was necessary in 15 cases (12%). Short-term prophylaxis with pdhC1INH was administered before 14 deliveries (11.2 %); 111 deliveries (88.8 %) were performed without premedication and were well tolerated. Anesthesia was used in 51 deliveries (40.8%).
Pregnancy has a variable influence on the clinical expression of C1INH-HAE. Attacks tend to occur more frequently but not to increase in severity. Vaginal delivery was mostly well tolerated. pdhC1INH prophylaxis should be administered prior to cesarean delivery and is also recommended before vaginal delivery if there are additional risk factors. pdhC1INH should always be available in the delivery room.
