The latest breed of very high resolution (VHR) commercial satellites opens new possibilities for cartographic and remote-sensing applications. In fact, one of the most common applications of ...remote-sensing images is the extraction of land-cover information for digital image base maps by means of classification techniques. The aim of the study was to compare the potential classification accuracy provided by pan-sharpened orthoimages from both GeoEye-1 and WorldView-2 (WV2) VHR satellites over urban environments. The influence on the supervised classification accuracy was evaluated by means of an object-based statistical analysis regarding three main factors: (i) sensor used; (ii) sets of image object (IO) features used for classification considering spectral, geometry, texture, and elevation features; and (iii) size of training samples to feed the classifier (nearest neighbour (NN)). The new spectral bands of WV2 (Coastal, Yellow, Red Edge, and Near Infrared-2) did not improve the benchmark established from GeoEye-1. The best overall accuracy for GeoEye-1 (close to 89%) was attained by using together spectral and elevation features, whereas the highest overall accuracy for WV2 (83%) was achieved by adding textural features to the previous ones. In the case of buildings classification, the normalized digital surface model computed from light detection and ranging data was the most valuable feature, achieving producer's and user's accuracies close to 95% and 91% for GeoEye-1 and VW2, respectively. Last but not least and regarding the size of the training samples, the rule of ‘the larger the better' was true but, based on statistical analysis, the ideal choice would be variable depending on both each satellite and target class. In short, 20 training IOs per class would be enough if the NN classifier was applied on pan-sharpened orthoimages from both GeoEye-1 and WV2.

The differences in biological, psychological and social characteristics, as well ...as the type of work carried out by men and women, make it necessary for workplace health promotion to be specific for each group. This study focussed on working women.
Introduction
Workplace health promotion interventions are centred on increasing the well‐being and health of the employees. Occupational health nurses play an essential role in the implementation of these interventions.
Methods
A systematic review was carried out using the MEDLINE and Scopus databases, following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta‐analysis (PRISMA) guidelines.
Results
Twelve articles met the inclusion criteria. Two lines of interventions were found: (1) promotion of breastfeeding (16.6%) and (2) promotion of physical activity and other healthy lifestyles (83.4%). The interventions studied underlined promoting breastfeeding, preventing a sedentary lifestyle, improving body composition, reducing cardiovascular risk, relieving premenstrual symptoms, time of breastfeeding after returning to work, and showing favourable results.
Discussion
The lack of studies on the subject and the medium‐to‐low quality of the articles included in the review have made it difficult to analyse workplace health promotion interventions, making it necessary to continue research in this area.
Conclusion
There are very few occupational health promotion interventions targeting women (1.9%), and the majority of them focus on promoting physical activity. It is worrying that specific aspects of women's health are poorly addressed.
Implications for nursing practice and health policy
The work of the occupational nurse essentially is to guarantee the health of women in the workplace, being the key figure in the research and development of gender‐related policies in the field of public health.
There is evidence showing the effectiveness of a hypocaloric diet and the increase in physical activity on weight loss. However, the combined role of these factors, not only on weight loss but also ...body composition, remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a hypocaloric diet on the body composition of obese adult women throughout different degrees of physical activity during a weight loss program.
One hundred and seventeen healthy female volunteers were randomly assigned to one of the experimental groups: a control group with a low-level prescription of physical activity (1-4 METs), moderate physical activity group that performed 10.000 steps walking (5-8 METs) and intense physical activity group that trained exercises by at least 70% of VO2max three times a week (> 8 METs). All subjects followed a hypocaloric diet designed with a reduction of 500 kcal/day. Nutritional counseling was provided throughout the study period to help ensure dietary adherence.
We found no differences in body weight compared to moderate and intense physical activity (ßstand. = - 0.138 vs. ßstand. = - 0.139). Body fat was lower in women following an intense activity (ßstand. = - 0.436) than those with moderate exercise (ßstand. = - 0.231). The high-intense activity also increased muscle mass at the end of the intervention, standing out above the moderate activity (ßstand. = 0.182 vs. ßstand. = 0.008).
These findings indicate that a hypocaloric diet, without prescription of physical activity, is adequate to lose weight in the short term (12 weeks), but physical activity is vital to modify the body composition in women with obesity. Body fat was lower when women practiced a moderate exercise compared to hypocaloric diet only, but an intense physical activity was the most effective protocol to obtain a reduction of body fat and maintain muscle mass.
The study protocol complied with the Declaration of Helsinki for medical studies, it was approved by the bioethical committee of Córdoba University, in the Department of Health at the Regional Government of Andalusia (Act n°284, ref.4156) and retrospectively registered in clinicaltrials.gov (NCT03833791). The TATA box is a promoter sequence able to interact directly with the components of the basal transcription initiation machinery. We investigate the changes in the electronic and magnetic properties ...of a TATA‐DNA sequence when functionalized with different chemical groups; using the first‐principles density functional theory specifically, the TATA‐DNA sequences were functionalized with methyl groups (CH3, methylation), amino groups (NH2, amination), imine groups (NH, imination), chloroamine groups (NCl2, chloramination), H‐adatom (hydrogenation), and Cl‐adatom (chlorination). The functional groups were anchored at nitrogen atoms from adenine and oxygen atoms from thymine at sites pointed as reactive regions. We demonstrated that chemical functionalization induces significant changes in charge transfer, hydrogen bond distance, and hydrogen bond energy. The hydrogenation and imination increased the hydrogen bond energy. Results also revealed that the chemical functionalization of DNA molecules exhibit a ferromagnetic ground state, reaching magnetization up to 4.665 μB and complex magnetic ordering. We further demonstrated that the functionalization could induce tautomerism (proton migration in the base pair systems). The present study provides a theoretical basis for understanding the functionalization further into DNA molecules and visualizing possible future applications.

Background Chemerin has a potential role in perpetuating inflammation in autoimmune diseases. Nevertheless, to date, there is no conclusive information on whether high chemerin levels increase the ...severity of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Therefore, this study evaluated whether serum chemerin is a biomarker of disease activity in RA patients. Methods Study design: cross-sectional. The assessment included clinical and laboratory characteristics, body mass index (BMI) and fat mass. The severity of the disease activity was identified according to the DAS28-CRP index as follows: A) RA with a DAS28-CRPless than or equal to2.9 (remission/mild activity) and B) RA with a DAS28-CRP>2.9 (moderate/severe activity). Serum chemerin concentrations were measured by ELISA, and greater than or equal to103 ng/mL was considered a high level. Logistic regression analysis was applied to determine whether high chemerin levels were associated with disease activity in RA after adjusting for confounders. Multiple regression analysis was performed to identify variables associated with chemerin levels. Results Of 210 RA patients, 89 (42%) subjects had moderate/severe disease activity and had higher serum chemerin levels than patients with low disease activity or remission (86 ± 34 vs 73± 27; p = 0.003). Serum chemerin correlated with the number of swollen joints (r = 0.15; p = 0.03), DAS28-CRP (r = 0.22; p = 0.002), and C-reactive protein levels (r = 0.14; p = 0.04), but no correlation was observed with BMI and fat mass. In the adjusted logistic regression analysis, high chemerin levels (greater than or equal to103 ng/mL) were associated with an increased risk of moderate/severe disease activity (OR: 2.76, 95% CI 1.35-5.62; p = 0.005). In the multiple regression analysis, after adjusting for potential confounders, serum chemerin levels were associated with higher DAS28-CRP (p = 0.002). Conclusions Higher chemerin levels increased the risk of moderate and severe disease activity in RA. These results support the role of chemerin as a marker of inflammation in RA. Follow-up studies will identify if maintaining low chemerin levels can be used as a therapeutic target.
The transformation of tropical forests to agricultural systems modifies the diversity of species. Species respond differentially to disturbance depending on how they interact with their environment; ...therefore, the diversity of species that results following the transformation of a tropical forest could depend on the type of agricultural system that is established and the traits and functions of the species that make up the native communities. In this study, the effect of establishing two agricultural systems on an assemblage of tropical forest lizards was evaluated. To do so, the functional diversity and species diversity of lizards in tropical forest, a lime crop, and a coconut crop in southeastern Mexico were analyzed. The results showed that both the functional diversity and the diversity of species decreased when the tropical forest was transformed into either of these agricultural systems. However, this decrease differs in magnitude depending on the type of crop, since in the lime crop (less heterogeneous) there was a greater reduction in species richness, of functional groups, and of the members of the functional groups than in the coconut crop (more heterogeneous). The agricultural systems studied are not capable of maintaining the diversity of native species or the functional diversity of tropical forest lizards. Therefore, in landscapes modified by humans, it is essential to maintain fragments of native forest between agricultural plots to conserve those species highly susceptible to tropical forest transformation, as well as assemblages of species with a wide variety of functional traits.
The penetration level of mobile technology has grown exponentially and is part of our lifestyle, at all levels. The use of the smartphone has opened up a new horizon of possibilities in the treatment ...of health, not in vain, around 40% of existing applications are linked to the mHealth segment. Taking advantage of this circumstance to study new approaches in the treatment of obesity and prescription of physical activity is growing interest in the field of health. The primary outcome (obese adult women) will be assessed according to age, fitness status, weight, and body composition status. Data will be collected at enrollment and weekly during 6 months of intervention on dietary practices, physical activity, anthropometry, and body composition. Analysis of effect will be performed comparing the outcomes between intervention and control arms. The message delivery is in progress.
A 3-arm clinical trial was established. A series of quantitative and qualitative measures were used to evaluate the effects of self-weighing and the establishment of objectives to be reached concerning the prescription of physical activity. At the end of this pilot study, a set of appropriate measures and procedures were identified and agreed upon to determine the effectiveness of messaging in the form of PUSH technology. The results were recorded and analyzed to begin a randomized controlled trial to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology.
The study is anticipated to establish feasibility of using PUSH notifications to evaluate whether or not an intervention of 6 months, directed by a team formed by Dietician-Nutritionist and nursing professionals, by means of an application for Smartphone and a personal consultation, improves the body composition of adult women with a fat percentage equal to or higher than 30% at the beginning of the study.

Monkeypox (MPX), a zoonotic infection caused by the monkeypox virus (MPXV), has re-emerged worldwide with numerous confirmed cases with person-to-person transmission through close contacts, including ...in sexual networks. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the epidemiological situation of monkeypox transmission by possible sexual contact. A systematic literature review was conducted using PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Embase databases until 18 August 2022. The key search terms used were "monkeypox", "sexual contact", "sexual intercourse" and "sexual transmission". A total of 1291 articles were retrieved using the search strategy. After eliminating duplicates (n = 738) and examining by title, abstract, and full text, 28 studies reporting case reports of monkeypox with a detailed description of clinical features, sexually transmitted diseases, method of diagnosis, location and course of skin lesions, and treatment were included. A total of 4222 confirmed cases of monkeypox have been reported, of which 3876 monkeypox cases are the result of transmission by sexual contact distributed in twelve countries: 4152 cases were male with a mean age of 36 years. All confirmed cases of monkeypox were diagnosed by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The most frequent clinical manifestations were fever, lymphadenopathy, headache, malaise, and painful perianal and genital lesions. The most frequent locations of the lesions were perianal, genital, oral, trunk, upper and lower extremities. Patients were in good clinical condition, with treatment based on analgesics and antipyretics to relieve some symptoms of monkeypox. A high proportion of STIs and frequent anogenital symptoms were found, suggesting transmissibility through local inoculation during close skin-to-skin or mucosal contact during sexual activity. The highest risk of monkeypox transmission occurs in men who have sex with men, and MPXV DNA could be recovered in seminal fluid. It is essential to establish health policies for the early detection and management of patients with monkeypox.
Background
Food addiction (FA) is a construct that has gained interest in recent years but its relevance in Mexican population is still unexplored.
Aims
The present study has the aims of explore FA ...in a community of Mexican population, as well as identifying the risk patterns associated with it, in relation to the different etiological factors that have been described such as impulsivity, emotional regulation and eating styles. Furthermore, to identify a predictive model of FA severity.
Methods
The sample consisted of 160 female and male university students of Pachuca city in México, who volunteered to participate in the study. Assessment included multidimensional measures for FA, eating disorder severity, eating disorder styles, emotional regulation and impulsivity.
Results
A screening of FA-probable was registered for 13.8% of the sample, while 8.1% met criteria for FA-present. The FA-present group differed from FA-absent in the impulsivity levels and in emotional eating style. Patients with FA-present differed from FA-probable in the impulsivity levels. Differences between FA-probable versus FA-absent were found in the restrained eating style. Path analysis evidenced that FA severity was directly associated with older age, worse eating style profile and higher impulsivity levels, and indirectly related with the ED symptom levels.
Conclusions
Our findings suggest that it is possible to establish a specific predictive model of the development of FA and its severity in Mexican population to implement adequate prevention and treatment strategies.
