El objeto de aprendizaje (OA) Ecuación constituye una alternativa para la enseñanza de este concepto en la Unidad Curricular Matemática Preuniversitaria de las universidades ecuatorianas, en razón de ...la necesidad de nuevas estrategias de enseñanza, dado los cambios presentados en la estructura curricular de las instituciones educativas antes mencionadas y el creciente desarrollo de las tecnologías de la información y comunicación. La innovación en tecnología y la sociedad demandante, han ocasionado que las universidades incurran en la prestación servicios educativos como parte de programas de desarrollo sustentable. Así pues, la educación virtual viene a representar el medio por el cual se propician diálogos didácticos entre los actores involucrados en la formación virtual. En este sentido el objeto de aprendizaje como fenómeno de investigación emergente se posiciona en el proceso de enseñanza como un recurso con características específicas para ser introducido en la educación del presente siglo. El material didáctico que se presenta en esta segunda parte del presente artículo, se constituye en una alternativa ante el método tradicional de enseñanza; que le permitirá al estudiante de matemática preuniversitaria construir su propio aprendizaje a través de la aplicación de estrategias que facilitan su participación activa, y al docente afianzar el verdadero rol de facilitador.
La enseñanza de contenidos matemáticos en el campo de la educación matemática ha representado un sinnúmero de aportaciones en el plano investigativo, generalmente muchos de los contenidos de ...aprendizaje han estado envueltos en situaciones reales y problemáticas distintas a la matemática misma, los cuales exigen de los estudiantes un conocimiento acorde con la identificación de las estructuras matemáticas básicas e igualmente el entendimiento del contexto en el que está inmerso. Las ecuaciones como parte de los conocimientos básicos matemáticos aplicables en las matemáticas universitarias, en este trabajo, se presentarán a través de Objetos de Aprendizaje (OA) con base en un diseño didáctico, el cual brindará al estudiante una participación activa tendiente a la construcción de nuevos conocimientos matemáticos, asociados al concepto de ecuación. La Metodología empleada para la construcción del Objeto de Aprendizaje (OA) Ecuación, ha sido la holística y participativa de un grupo de Docentes de Matemáticas de las Universidades Públicas de Ecuador. En esta primera parte se presenta la conceptualización de OA, sus ventajas; así como también la breve descripción del impacto de la globalización en la educación.
Numerical modeling studies remain the only viable way to accurately predict the electric field (E-field) distribution in transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS). Despite the existence of ...multiple studies of this kind, a wide range of different values and properties for the electrical conductivities of the tissues represented is employed. This makes it difficult to predict whether the changes observed between models are due to differences in the geometries of the volume conductors or to the different electrical properties of the tissues. In this study we used the finite element method to calculate the E-field distribution in several spherical head models whose tissues were represented with different isotropic and anisotropic conductivity profiles. Results show that the distribution of the E-field is especially sensitive to the conductivity of the skull, skin and GM. These results might help comparing numerical modeling studies that employ different conductivity values.
Here, in this paper, sulfide glass electrolyte powder with a nominal composition of (Li2S)60(SiS2)28(P2S5)12 is hot pressed at a 330°C and 12 MPa into separator films using non-woven fiberglass ...reinforcement. The reinforced separator films are 93% dense, bendable, and have an ionic conductivity of 0.7 mS/cm at room temperature. When integrated into hybrid Li-S coin cells with liquid electrolyte, these reinforced glass separators blocked the parasitic polysulfide shuttle sufficiently to enable reversible cycling without LiNO3 co-salt. Furthermore, the scalability of the reinforced glass separator technology is demonstrated by assembling and testing a hybrid single-layer pouch cell.

This paper presents a heuristic algorithm to implement a model predictive controller for systems with binary inputs in which the effect of the control signal on the response partially vanishes before reaching steady state, for example systems that exhibit both fast and slow stable dynamics. The proposed algorithm is based on an iterative procedure that constructs a reduced set of suboptimal solutions. The size of this set can be set accordingly to the computing capabilities and the sample time. The iterative procedure rejects possible solutions profiting from the partial fading memory property of the system and an approximation of the optimal cost-to-go function. The properties of the proposed controller are illustrated with a simulated example of a photobioreactor.
Land snails (stylommatophoran pulmonates, shells only) were collected on Trindade Island, ∼1140 km off Vitória, Brazil, by the Marion Dufresnei Expedition (MD-55) and more recently by our team. ...Trindade's endemic snails are Bulimulus brunoi and Naesiotus arnaldoi (Orthalicidae), and Oxyloma beckeri and Succinea lopesi (Succineidae). As some non-native species have also been found, a taxonomic revision of the native fauna was needed. Here, the revision is focused on orthalicids, presenting updated descriptions and diagnosis. Moreover, the supposed native orthalicid Bulimulus trindadensis is deemed here to be a Subulinidae, and the new genus Vegrandinia is erected to accommodate it. Trindade's insular environment is delicate and very susceptible to invasive species. No living specimens of these taxa, native or non-native, have been collected since before the MD-55 Expedition.
