Ischemic diseases are characterized by reduced blood supply to a tissue or an organ due to obstruction of blood vessels. The most serious and most common ischemic diseases include ischemic heart ...disease, ischemic stroke, and critical limb ischemia. Revascularization is the first choice of therapy, but the cell therapy is being introduced as a possible way of treatment for no-option patients. One of the possibilities of cell therapy is the use of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). MSCs are easily isolated from bone marrow and can be defined as non-hematopoietic multipotent adult stem cells population with a defined capacity for self-renewal and differentiation into cell types of all three germ layers depending on their origin. Since 1974, when Friedenstein and coworkers (Friedenstein et al. 1974) first time isolated and characterized MSCs, MSC-based therapy has been shown to be safe and effective. Nevertheless, many scientists and clinical researchers want to improve the success of MSCs in regenerative therapy. The secret of successful cell therapy may lie, along with the homing, in secretion of biologically active molecules including cytokines, growth factors, and chemokines known as MSCs secretome. One of the intracellular signalling mechanism includes the activity of phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase (phosphoinositide 3-kinase) (PI3K) - protein kinase B (serine-threonine protein kinase Akt) (Akt) pathway. This PI3K/Akt pathway plays key roles in many cell types in regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and migration. Pre-conditioning of MSCs could improve efficacy of signalling mechanism.
The randomized trials showed that the addition of training resistance program to androgen-deprivation therapy (ADT) had many beneficial effects for prostate cancer (PC) patients (significant ...protective effect on the volume of muscle mass) and the studies have revealed a panel of miRNAs, which are deregulate in PC and may serve as promising biomarkers of PC risk. The primary aim of our present study was to investigate the effect of exercise training to changes in body composition (muscle strength) and the secondary endpoint was to investigate the impact of an exercise training program on plasma levels of selected myogenic microRNAs (miRNAs) (miRNA-1, miRNA-29b, and miRNA-133) in PC patients undergoing the ADT. Effect of ADT and exercise intervention showed significant increase (experimental group vs. control group) the changes in body composition, free testosterone levels, IL-6 and plasma levels of myogenic miRNAs and significant reduced insulin serum levels. In conclusion, resistance training with ADT in the treatment of PC significantly changed the physical and metabolic function and the plasma levels of specific myogenic miRNAs. Our data support with the other publicized results.
The authors demonstrate the hygienic significance of Gompertc-Makeham model, which expresses age-dependent mortality of population, and use both theoretical concepts and statistical data to ...substantiate a hypothesis of an indicator significance of the model's free coefficient for environmental state evaluation. The model was approved using the data from the regions of Republic Kazakhstan.

Predictive maintenance is a maintenance strategy that applies advanced statistical methods and artificial intelligence to determine the appropriate maintenance time. The article focuses on future ...recommendations for industry and logistics to achieve a higher level of predictive maintenance maturity, which requires real-time monitoring of the state of the company's machinery and equipment. The article's main objective is to propose recommendations to increase effectiveness by improving the predictive maintenance maturity matrix from the current level to a higher level in the industrial enterprise. The current state of maturity has been indicated using the modified model of predictive maintenance and following recommendations from the document Manual for companies for the introduction of artificial intelligence. Simultaneously within the analysis, a predictive maintenance simulation was performed on a selected production line, including essential machines and equipment. The study also identified the individual assumptions (processes, data, infrastructure, personnel, applications, organization) necessary to implement predictive maintenance successfully. The presented case study results contribute to understanding how individual assumptions can be obtained for predictive maintenance improvement and how innovative solutions in the context of Industry 4.0 and Logistics 4.0 can be achieved in enterprises.
Industry 4.0 will not only change what we are and what we do, but also who we are. As a result of the rapid introduction of new technologies, which is characteristic for Industry 4.0, there will be a ...change in the labour market. It allows people, things and machines to be connected in real time, thus ensuring that the necessary information is exchanged between them. There are advantages, but also negatives: one of the impacts of Industry 4.0 is the gradual transformation of the labour market, leading to a demand for new professional skills and the digitalisation of work. Thus, it brings with it the need for employees to adapt to the changing sub-conditions of the labour market. The aim of this article is to identify and highlight the need for changes in the field of competences in connection with the application of Industry 4.0 methods and techniques. For the purpose of this research, a valid data collection instrument (questionnaire for the research) was developed and distributed to enterprises in the field of selected industry sectors in the Slovak Republic. In total, the research sample consisted of n = 556 respondents. On the basis of the obtained results, we conclude that early identification of future needs in terms of competences gives the possibility of setting up training activities aimed at acquiring new, missing and needed-for-the-future competences of employees.
Effective communication is the most significant ability for project manager and successful project. However, during the management of projects communication, it is very often forgotten, often ...overlooked or taken for granted. In the management of projects, it is principally necessary to deal with communication during all project lifecycle. Within the project communication, it is very important to define the main methods, tools, support of communication and frequency of communication; these belong to the most important elements of the communication channel which is very often forgotten. Therefore, the main aim of the paper is to analyse the utilisation of the communication channel: communication methods, communication tools, communication frequency and to support project communication in industrial manufacturing enterprises in Slovakia. Based on the research, we can conclude that communication channel is not adequately elaborated in international methodologies and standards of project management as well as in industrial manufacturing enterprises. These facts are very negative, conclusion and it is therefore necessary to deal with the problem.
