Bioconvection in magneto-nanoliquid embedded with gyrotactic microorganisms across an elongated sheet with velocity slip of second order is addressed. Numerical simulations for the modeled problem are proposed via Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg-based shooting technique. Special attention is given to the impact of involved parameters on the profiles of motile microorganisms, nanoparticle volume fraction, temperature and velocity. Our simulations figured out that assisting flow generates more heat transfer than the opposing flow situation. The motile microorganism’s boundary layer decayed for higher bioconvection Peclet and bioconvection Lewis numbers.
This research is made to visualize the nonlinear radiated flow of hydromagnetic nano-fluid induced due to rotation of the disk. The considered nano-fluid is a mixture of water and Ti6Al4V or AA7072 ...nano-particles. The various shapes of nanoparticles like lamina, column, sphere, tetrahedron and hexahedron are chosen in the analysis. The irregular heat source and nonlinear radiative terms are accounted in the law of energy. We used the heat flux condition instead of constant surface temperature condition. Heat flux condition is more relativistic and according to physical nature of the problem. The problem is made dimensionless with the help of suitable similarity constraints. The Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg scheme is adopted to find the numerical solutions of governing nonlinear ordinary differential systems. The solutions are plotted by considering the various values of emerging physical constraints. The effects of various shapes of nanoparticles are drawn and discussed.

Five distinct nanoparticle shapes such as sphere, tetrahedron, column, hexahedron and lamina are accounted. Impacts of Joule heating, radiation and viscous dissipation are also retained. Hamilton-Crosser’s expression is employed to deploy effective thermal conductivity of nanoliquid. Multi degree partial differential equations system is reduced by Kármán transformations and then solved via shooting method. It is figured out that the heat transfer rate is enhanced for stronger Marangoni convection and nanoparticle volume fraction. Also, shape of the nanoparticles significantly affects the flow fields.
A nonlinear flow of Jeffrey liquid with Cattaneo-Christov heat flux is investigated in the presence of nanoparticles. The features of thermophoretic and Brownian movement are retained. The effects of ...nonlinear radiation, magnetohydrodynamic (MHD), and convective conditions are accounted. The conversion of governing equations into ordinary differential equations is prepared via stretching transformations. The consequent equations are solved using the Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg (RKF) method. Impacts of physical constraints on the liquid velocity, the temperature, and the nanoparticle volume fraction are analyzed through graphical illustrations. It is established that the velocity of the liquid and its associated boundary layer width increase with the mixed convection parameter and the Deborah number.
The nonlinear convective flow of kerosene-Alumina nanoliquid subjected to an exponential space dependent heat source and temperature dependent viscosity is investigated here. This study is focuses on ...augmentation of heat transport rate in liquid propellant rocket engine. The kerosene-Alumina nanoliquid is considered as the regenerative coolant. Aspects of radiation and viscous dissipation are also covered. Relevant nonlinear system is solved numerically via RK based shooting scheme. Diverse flow fields are computed and examined for distinct governing variables. We figured out that the nanoliquid’s temperature increased due to space dependent heat source and radiation aspects. The heat transfer rate is higher in case of changeable viscosity than constant viscosity.

It is established that the heat transfer rate is enhanced due to Coriolis and Lorentz forces. Furthermore, Fe3O4 nanoparticles enhance the Nusselt number significantly in comparison with Al2O3 nanoparticles.
The current study compacts with effect of nonlinear convection and radiation on tangent hyperbolic fluid flow of through a convectively heated vertical surface. The converted set of boundary layer ...equations are solved numerically by Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg method. The effect of various pertinent parameters on flow and heat transfer characteristics are discussed with tabulated numerical values and deliberate figures. Additionally, the skin friction coefficient and Nusselt number are also presented. We noticed that, the skin friction factor and heat transfer rates are higher in presence of nonlinear convection than its absence. Further, velocity profile decreases by increasing power law index but establishes opposite results for skin friction.
Psidium guajava
L. (guava) is predominantly grown throughout the world and known for its medicinal properties in treating various diseases and disorders. The present work focuses on aqueous ...extraction of bioactive compounds from the guava leaf and its utilization in the formulation of jelly to improve the public health. The guava leaf extract has been used in the preparation of jelly with pectin (1.5 g), sugar (28 g) and lemon juice (2 mL). The prepared guava leaf extract jelly (GJ) and the control jelly (CJ, without extract) were subjected to proximate, nutritional and textural analyses besides determination of antioxidant and antimicrobial activities. GJ was found to contain carbohydrate (45.78 g/100 g), protein (3.0 g/100 g), vitamin C (6.15 mg/100 g), vitamin B3 (2.90 mg/100 g) and energy (120.6 kcal). Further, the texture analysis of CJ and GJ indicated that both the jellies showed similar properties emphasizing that the addition of guava leaf extract does not bring any change in the texture properties of jelly. GJ exhibited antimicrobial activity against various bacteria ranging from 11.4 to 13.6 mm. Similarly, GJ showed antioxidant activity of 42.38% against DPPH radical and 33.45% against hydroxyl radical. Mass spectroscopic analysis of aqueous extract confirmed the presence of esculin, quercetin, gallocatechin, 3-sinapoylquinic acid, gallic acid, citric acid and ellagic acid which are responsible for antioxidant and antimicrobial properties.
Background: Bovine mastitis is a common inflammatory disease where bacterial resistance to antibiotics is a major concern in its treatment. Nanoparticles have been known in overcoming difficulties of ...treatment therapies including multi drug resistant bacterial infections but research on their role in mastitis treatment is limited. Nowadays Green synthesis of nanoparticles is gaining importance to overcome problems associated with chemical synthesis. Therefore, the present study was conducted to evaluate the ameliorative action of Thespesia populnea (T. populnea) mediated synthesized silver and zinc oxide nanoparticles in mastitis induced mice. Methods: A total of 48 mice were divided into six groups: where Group I served as control, groups II to VI were inoculated with Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) culture for mastitis induction. After mastitis induction, groups III, IV, V and VI received T. populnea methanolic extract (TPE), T. populnea methanolic extract mediated silver nano particles (TPSN) (»95 nm size), T. populnea methanolic extract mediated ZnO nanoparticles (TPZN) (» 85 nm size) and Ceftriaxone respectively. Whole blood was collected to analyze inflammatory indicators haptoglobin (Hp) and C reactive protein (CRP). The mammary gland weights, bacterial load and changes in tissue samples were studied. Result: The formation of brown colour solution and white crystalline precipitate indicated the formation of TPE mediated silver and zinc oxide nanoparticles respectively. The sizes of these TPSN and TPZN when characterized by SEM, were found to be 95 and 85 nm respectively. The values of mammary gland weight, bacterial load, Hp and CRP were elevated significantly in group II mice when compared to other treatment groups. Histopathological examination of mammary gland revealed bacterial clumps, severe leucocytic infiltration along with congestion and necrotic changes in group II. The ameliorating changes in damaged tissues of the experimental groups remained in the decreasing order of TPSN, ceftriaxone, TPZN and TPE respectively. Therefore, phytogenic nanoparticles can be effectively used to control the mastitis.
