Symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency have been known since antiquity. The prevalence of chronic venous insufficiency in Western Europe and the USA has been reported within the range from from 1 ...to 40% in women and from 1 to 17% in men 1. As reported by the European authors, the average prevalence of chronic venous insufficiency with class C2-C6 (according to the CEAP classification) among the European population reaches 30% 2. Edema syndrome remains one of the leading manifestations of chronic venous disease. Compression therapy is one of the main ways to combat edema. The arsenal of devices for the treatment of edematous syndrome is steadily expanding with the development of medical science. Today, in addition to inelastic compression wrap and elastic compression garments, brand-new compression products, circaid adjustable inelastic compression wraps are available.
The SPASCHARM experiment is aimed at a systematic study of the nucleon spin structure and the spin dependence of the strong interaction of antimatter and matter with matter at energies up to 45 GeV. ...As part of the first stage of the experiment, the study of the spin properties of hadrons will take place in a beam of negatively charged hadrons on existing beamline 14 at the operating SPASCHARM setup at the U70 facility. At the second stage, the production of polarized beams of protons and antiprotons is envisaged in beamline 24A of the U-70 accelerator facility. A polarized antiproton beam will certainly become a unique beam in the world. It is planned to measure single-spin asymmetries in dozens of reactions, both on hydrogen and on various nuclei. At the SPASCHARM facility, it is also possible to measure the transverse polarization of hyperons and elements of the spin density matrix of vector mesons. The spin structure of the nucleon will be investigated in the study of quarkonium production to determine the contribution of gluons to the proton spin. The presence of two types of polarized beams and eight types of nonpolarized beams (π

The simulation of phase equilibrium in a multicomponent reaction system of ethanol dehydrogenation process has been performed. The structure of the distillation diagram of this system has been found ...and its evolution during changes in pressure has been studied. An analysis of the diagram properties has made it possible to define the range of values of the operating parameters that allow for the separation of the reaction mixture in order to propose a structure of technological separation system and to carry out its parametric optimization.
In this article we study the theoretical problem of vibrational transportation of bodies along a surface in the state of non-translational, in particular, rotational oscillations. Nonlinear ...differential equations of motion of bodies on such surface are obtained. It is shown that, in the case where the influence of centrifugal and Coriolis inertia forces can be neglected, when finding the local average speed of vibrational transporting, one can use the results of an existing theory if additional parameters are introduced. The essential features of the arising motions are established, and a number of possible applications are discussed. The discovered regularities are confirmed by a physical experiment on a vibration bench.
The Mediterranean fruit fly is a significant agroclimatic threat to the fruit production. It can damage up to 80–100% of fruits on 45–78% of agricultural land in some countries. The modern climatic ...range of the pest is analyzed in the present paper using computational data generated by the Voeikov Main Geophysical Observatory regional climate model and the global climate model of Marchuk Institute of Numerical Mathematics. The species requirements for climate conditions are: the sum of active temperatures (a threshold is 10°C) above 2700°C; monthly mean temperatures for December–February are positive; monthly precipitation totals in December–February exceed 13 mm. In Russia, such conditions are observed on the Black Sea coast and in a small part of the southern Caspian lowland. The assessment of changes in the climatic range of the pest in 2050–2059 versus 1990–1999 under the RCP8.5 scenario showed the expansion of the climatically suitable territory. The territory will almost completely include such traditional fruit growing regions as the Krasnodar krai, the Republic of Crimea, and the Republic of Adygea. Strict quarantine measures and early resource allocation that quickly suppresses infestations of the Mediterranean fruit fly may be proposed as adaptation measures.
The complex technique using laser and video equipment in test conditions at the setups of the Laboratory of water turbines of the Leningrad Metal Plant has been developed to conduct laser ...measurements of velocity fields and video recording of cavitation phenomena based on the integration of the laser systems ("LAD - 0xx" and "Track-07 S"), created at the Kutateladze Institute of Thermophysics SB RAS (IT SB RAS) and JSC "IOIT." The Doppler anemometer allowed to achieve experimental distribution of the circumferential, axial, and radial velocity components at each point along the radius of the suction tube cone section of test experimental setup which has give information about vortex structure in suction turbine. The developed PTV method is described. The investigation of cavitation behind the turbine blade at test setup at velocities of 8-10 m/s is presented.

The dendritic parameter is estimated on the assumption that three-dimensional structure of the solid phase is formed in metastable supercooled melt. The solidification of such melt is considered in ...the quasi-chemical approximation, on the assumption that the transient state corresponds to an ideal solution. The dimensions of the structural cell are found to depend on the relation between the diffusion rate within the cell and the rate of heat loss. The theoretical estimate of the structural parameter agrees with experimental results.
In connection with the start-up of the T-15MD tokamak, testing of numerous magnetic probes of the electromagnetic diagnostic system is an important problem, because measurements from magnetic probes ...are used to control the plasma discharge. The article analyzes the first experiments on measuring the magnetic field performed on the T-15MD tokamak. A program has been created in which Kirchhoff equations for currents in poloidal coils and eddy currents in a vacuum chamber and passive stabilization conductors are solved. The distribution of the magnetic field and voltage in the magnetic probes are calculated and compared with experimentally measured values. As a result, it is found that some probes have incorrect connection polarity and that the signals from two probes are mixed up during recording to the database. It is shown that large currents are induced in the vacuum chamber, which will influence the plasma equilibrium, especially at the initial stage of current rise. An algorithm is proposed to improve the 2D model of the T-15MD chamber, which increases the accuracy of calculating the eddy currents and thereby improves plasma discharge control.
Effect of systemic administration of synthetic pyrimidine derivatives, xymedon and compounds 29D and 34D, was studied in rats with experimental dosed contusion spinal cord injury. Xymedon promoted ...recovery of motor function after injury. Compounds 29D and 34D more effectively restored the parameters of open-field and Rotarod tests in comparison with xymedon. Compound 29D more effectively than xymedon maintained the number of Olig2
+
oligodendrocytes in the corticospinal tract and NG2 cells in all investigated areas of the white matter. In the group treated with compound 34D, the differences in the number of NG2
+
cells were revealed only in the anterior funiculi, where the number of these glial cells was 2-fold higher than in the xymedon-treated group. Obtained results suggest that the studied xymedon analogs, compounds 29D and 34D, can exert their therapeutic action through different molecular and cellular pathways.
