The state of the issue: The current type of environmental consciousness determines the behavior of people in relation to the environment. Environmental education is a part of the integral pedagogical ...process of any educational institution, aimed at the systematic knowledge assimilation about the environment, society, development of practical skills and environmental activities. Environmental education is aimed at the formation of environmental culture of the individual to protect the environment. Material and Methods: The main method of research is testing, which promotes the study of environmental consciousness development level and its structural components among the students. Also in the process of research were used: methods of research and regulatory sources; sociopsychological diagnostics, psycho-diagnostic techniques; mathematical methods and methods of computer data processing. Results: The authors identified and justified the structural and content characteristics of environmental consciousness. The data obtained during the study of the structural components of the student environmental consciousness are compared. Individual ecological consciousness is understood by the authors as a relatively stable integral mental education of the subject, which is formed in the process of environmental training, characterized by the level of environmental knowledge, attitudes, relations to nature, intentions that determine a holistic environmentally-oriented behavior aimed at protecting the environment. Conclusions: The effective formation of ecological consciousness, in accordance with the requirements of modern society, can be when there is a designed diagnostic toolkit that allows monitoring at each stage of ecological consciousness formation. In the structure of individual ecological consciousness four structural components can be allocated: cognitive, valuablemotivational orientation, cognitive.
The article relevance is to study such a social phenomenon as the artistic and aesthetic needs of modern youth in conditions of self-isolation. It is important to take care not only of economic ...development during a crisis, but also of spiritual development that helps to cope with anxiety and stress during a pandemic. Culture in General, and art in particular, the attitude to it and the need for it - this is one of the most important indicators of social conditions and psychological health in a stressful situation. Therefore, special attention should be paid to finding out the popularity of certain media channels among students during the period of self-isolation, as well as their role in communicating with art. The purpose of the research is to study the features of artistic and aesthetic needs of modern youth in a situation of forced self-isolation. Research methods: as a research method, we used semantic differential, which allows us to get the necessary information, avoiding direct questions about needs; the method of incomplete sentences, which allows us to identify unconscious spiritual needs. Research results: the article considers the features of students' spiritual needs in conditions of self-isolation. The level of spiritual needs' development of students of Humanities and technical faculties is determined. The novelty and originality of the research lies in the fact that the features of modern students' spiritual needs during the period of self-isolation are described for the first time. It is shown that the students' spiritual needs are quite complex (there is not enough simple entertainment, educational and cognitive elements must be present, which must also dominate the entertainment), but in conditions of self-isolation, the needs are often reduced to something easier, entertaining, leveling the educational and cognitive elements. It is revealed that the main source of knowledge about art during the period of self-isolation is the mass communication media, primarily such as the Internet and television. It is determined that the entertainment aspect, which young people often confuse with art, dominates these sources. It is determined that students' expectations of meeting with art are distributed in the following order: upbringing, cognition, hedonism. It is revealed that entertainment and pleasure obtained during self-isolation are an important part of art impact on a person; however, the bias is directed towards hedonism. It is determined that every third student considers the art of the past centuries as the best. It is revealed that students will characterize the past art as a reflection of public culture, and the modern art as a reflection of individuality. Practical significance: the data obtained in this work can be used in social psychology, age psychology, pedagogy, psychology of art, as well as for further theoretical development of this issue.
Much of John Zizioulas’ treatment of the human being as a person revolves around four crucial concepts: being, otherness, ontology, and freedom. Our critical appraisal of Zizioulas’ concept of human ...personhood emphasizes the importance of creative tension between (ontological) freedom and contingency as understood within the frame of reference of the human being’s intrinsic contingency as a finite, created being. According to this concept, the other (another distinct embodied personhood) is neither an object nor competition but rather a gift for one’s self who reminds me of one’s limitedness, dependence, and deep relatedness. Thus, the other helps the human self realize his/her potential in a mutual sharing of love. We examine Zizioulas’ critical stance to the modern notion that ‘otherness is necessary for freedom to exist’ against the background of his treatment of ‘otherness’ and ‘nature,’ as well as ‘otherness’ and ‘new being,’ ‘Logos,’ and ‘new nature.’ Finally, we lay out Zizioulas’ mature ontology of human personhood as a profound albeit mystical account of what it means to be human in our fragmented age.
Personal values play a vital role while utilizing learning approaches by individuals through their studies. Especially in higher education, those values substantially affect individuals' character in ...their learning community and eventually influence their academic accomplishments. Values manifest themselves in all elements of practical culture. In cognitive activity, they play the role of a reference point: it is more natural for a person to learn what is vitally important for him/her. The purpose of the research is to identify the life priorities and value orientations of modern students and its influence on learning process and student accomplishments. As a research method, the method of unfinished sentences was used, as a method of collecting information that allows us to identify various aspects related to the life values of students. The article considers the specifics of life values’ semantic content among young people, defines the terminal and instrumental values of students. The study novelty and originality lie in the fact that for the first time life values are considered in the representation of first-year students. It is proved that material security, as a value is practically not represented in students. For the first time, it was determined that the structure of young students’ terminal values includes family, education, and later career. It is revealed that success, as a value, from the point of view of students, directly depends on responsibility, performance, self-control. It is considered that the best job for first-year students is the one that corresponds to their emotional mood, is highly paid, and is associated with helping other people.
The relevance of this article lies in the study of such a social phenomenon as youth policy. Especially significant are the representations of the existing practices of youth policy designing and ...young people participation in social programming to implement various types of social innovations. Sociopsychological support of youth policy is considered as an independent topic with the questions of the youth identity crisis and the search for models of building solidarity in the new historical realities. The purpose of the research is to study youth policy from the perspective of social programming; to identify and analyze the features of youth policy in modern conditions. Research methods: as a research method, we used survey and interview methods that allow us to identify the specifics of young people social status as an indicator of society state as a whole. Research results: the article considers constructs of youth policy used in official administrative texts - state programs in the field of youth policy and unofficial texts of these programs developers. The novelty and originality of the research lies in the fact that for the first time the context of programming youth policy in modern conditions is studied. The main components are shown: normative, language, spatial, event-time, and problem contexts. It is shown that youth policy is constructed as a network of interconnected social practices of various kinds, including practices of youth participation in programming, based on the model of representation of youth interests by its affiliated representatives. For the first time, it is revealed that the construction of social practices of youth participation occurs with the designation of the role repertoire of young people and is reduced to roles: problem bearer (predominance of problem discourse); recipient of social benefits; passive participant of events (resource-oriented attitude to the younger generation); social practice of youth participation is characterized as problematic. This article shows that the problems of human development can be solved only through the active participation of young people in the interaction of the state and civil society and should be considered as criteria for the effectiveness of youth policy implementation. Practical significance: the data obtained in this work can be used in political science, legal psychology, social psychology, age psychology, as well as for further theoretical development of this issue.
The relevance of the study is due to the trends of global climate change of the Earth, which put human civilization in the conditions of adaptation to the changed parameters of the environment. The ...main reason for these manifestations is techno- genic human activity associated with the development of industry and agriculture. However, in the process of studying climate change using modern means of scientific and technical observations, the importance of an alternative approach that recognizes the primacy of natural processes occurring on Earth regardless of human activity is proved. The authors of the article relied on the environmental approach to the use of priorities of cyclical nature variability of global climate change, determining the permanent nature of transformation of human techno-genic activity in the preservation of the environment. In this regard, taking into account scientific and technical observations, the article reveals the trends of global climate change; the dominant influence of the cyclical nature of variability on global climate change is established. Based on the study results, the permanent nature of transformation of techno-genic processes of human activity in the conditions of global climate change is substantiated and experimentally proved.
