The results might suggest that program adaptability along with program fidelity are factors that influence program strength, and these factors must be uniquely balanced within organizational dynamics to realize intended outcomes. The formative evaluation and program logic model might be a feasible methodology and applicable tool for exploring quality and safety within complex adaptive systems, such as organizational culture, where constraints possibly could exclude more rigorous scientific methodologies until factors are more understood

I should say at the outset that I am, have been—on and off—since the 1970s, a Sexton-and Plath-oholic. When I first encountered Anne Sexton she was on the cusp of being, thanks largely to the women’s ...movement, co-opted by academia. Sylvia Plath was already being taught in literature classes at my college; Ariel had been published in this country in 1966 and, due to the shock value of Plath’s suicide and the role that suicide plays in her poems, she was very popular. Both writers’ preoccupation with death, of course, connected them in my mind, as did the

All lives take place in a constant exchange of interior and exterior situations. It’s not simply a matter of moving between the domestic realm and the out-of-doors. The garden, so beloved of poets, ...is often a space fenced in and adjoining the domicile so that no useful distinction, topographically, can be drawn between the flower or vegetable beds and the garage, back porch, patio, or lanai supplementary to the main housing unit. Without thinking much about it we all pass constantly across the liminal space from inside to outside, and then advance further outside. The subject of David Hockney’s famous

Trinidad muses on the sociocultural impact of Jacqueline Susann's groundbreaking novel, Valley of the Dolls. When it was first published in 1966, critics of serious literature dismissed it as trash, ...yet decades later, panel discussions are organized to discuss the enduring influence of Susann's work.

Editor Christopher Hennessy gathers interviews with some of the most significant figures in contemporary American poetry. While each poet is gay, these encompassing, craft-centered interviews reflect ...the diversity of their respective arts and serve as a testament to the impact gay poets have had and will continue to have on contemporary poetics. The book includes twelve frank, intense interviews with some of America's best-known and loved poets, who have not only enjoyed wide critical acclaim but who have had lasting impact on both the gay tradition and the contemporary canon writ large, for example, Frank Bidart, the late Thom Gunn, and J. D. McClatchy. Some of the most honored and respected poets, still in the middle of their careers, are also included, for example, Mark Doty, Carl Phillips, and Reginald Shepherd. Each interview explores the poet's complete work to date, often illuminating the poet's technical evolution and emotional growth, probing shifts in theme, and even investigating links between verse and sexuality.
