The paper presents results of experimental study of an upward flow in a vertical rod bundle consisting of nine rods arranged in a square. Spacing grids were used to keep the bundle geometry. The ...experiments were performed in single-phase and bubbly flows using an electrochemical technique. A local wall shear stress probe was mounted in the central rod. The dependence of the local wall shear stress on the distance from the grid was measured for two angular positions of the central rod. The wall shear stress fluctuations were also measured. The effect of gas phase void fraction on the flow parameters was studied.
A study of the lineshape of the χc1 ( 3872 ) state is made using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3 fb−1 collected in p p collisions at center-of-mass energies of 7 and ...8 TeV with the LHCb detector. Candidate χc1 ( 3872 ) and ψ ( 2S ) mesons from b -hadron decays are selected in the J / ψ π+ π− decay mode. Describing the lineshape with a Breit-Wigner function, the mass splitting between the χc1 ( 3872 ) and ψ ( 2S ) states, Δm, and the width of the χc1 ( 3872 ) state, ΓBW, are determined to be ..., where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. Using a Flatté-inspired model, the mode and full width at half maximum of the lineshape are determined to be ... . An investigation of the analytic structure of the Flatté amplitude reveals a pole structure, which is compatible with a quasibound D0 D*0 state but a quasivirtual state is still allowed at the level of 2 standard deviations. The paper presents the results of the experimental study of a downward bubbly flow in a vertical pipe with an inner diameter of 20 mm. The water-glycerol solution was used as the test liquid. The ...experiments were carried out for different values of Reynolds numbers from 500 to 1500. Measurements of the local flow characteristics (void fraction, liquid velocity, shear stress) were performed using an electrochemical method. The experiments showed a strong effect of the gas phase on the flow structure, expressed in an increase in wall shear stress and a flattening of the velocity profile in the central part of the tube. A significant deviation from a single-phase flow occurs even at low gas-liquid flow ratios.
The results of the experimental study of downward bubbly flow in a vertical pipe of 20 mm i.d. are given. Water-glycerin solution was used as the test liquid. The experiments were carried out over ...the Reynolds number range from 1000 to 1500. The local flow parameters (local void fraction, liquid velocity, velocity fluctuations) were measured using the electrodiffusional technique. The experiments demonstrated the strong effect of the gas phase on the flow structure. The effect is manifested in increase in the wall shear stress and flattening the liquid velocity profile in the central part of the pipe. A significant deviation from the single phase flow takes place even at low gas flow rate ratios.
Searches are performed for both promptlike and long-lived dark photons, A^{'}, produced in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. These searches look for A^{'}→μ^{+}μ^{-} ...decays using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.5 fb^{-1} collected with the LHCb detector. Neither search finds evidence for a signal, and 90% confidence-level exclusion limits are placed on the γ-A^{'} kinetic mixing strength. The promptlike A^{'} search explores the mass region from near the dimuon threshold up to 70 GeV and places the most stringent constraints to date on dark photons with 214<m(A^{'})≲740 MeV and 10.6<m(A^{'})≲30 GeV. The search for long-lived A^{'}→μ^{+}μ^{-} decays places world-leading constraints on low-mass dark photons with lifetimes O(1) ps.
Abstract
The introduction of the PLP-01M microwave laboratory system introduces a limitation on the number of studies per year, which reduces the capabilities of the measuring device, in cases both ...for the simultaneously introduced atomic absorption spectrometer “Kvant-2AT” and for the already used atomic absorption spectrometer “Kvant-AFA ”. The introduction of the PLP-01M microwave laboratory system will be beneficial if the productivity of the new equipment meets the laboratory’s needs in the number of studies. The use of the PLP-01M microwave laboratory system will make it possible to implement one of two options for the pricing policy of the laboratory management: when the estimated price per unit of research is established, the competitiveness in the market for the services provided significantly increases; the establishment of the market price allows increasing revenue by 1.2 times, which will amount to 883 thousand rubles. additional income.
To investigate the effect of ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) on the degree of steatosis, indicators of carbohydrate, lipid metabolism, body weight in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) in ...combination with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
A prospective cohort comparative study included 36 patients with DM and NAFLD. Patients received UDCA at a dose of 15 mg/kg/day for 6 months, and also followed the recommendations for lifestyle changes through diet and exercise. To compare the results obtained during the study, a control group of patients was recruited that met the criteria for inclusion in the study. The statistical analysis included an assessment of the normality of the distribution of quantitative indicators, followed by the determination of the mean values and standard deviation or medians and quartiles, depending on the nature of the distribution, the reliability coefficient was determined by the Student, by Wilcoxon. Statistical processing was carried out in the Statistica 10 program.
According to the results of the study, a positive trend was noted in the change in the severity of fatty hepatosis. During the study, a statistically significant decrease in the level of ALT, AST was achieved in the group receiving UDCA (Ursofalk). The results of our study showed that the inclusion of UDCA (Ursofalk) in complex hypoglycemic therapy provides an additional improvement in carbohydrate metabolism. The obtained indicators in the course of the study demonstrate the positive effect of UDCA on weight loss. The greatest result was achieved in reducing waist, which is a positive prognostic factor in reducing the development and progression of NAFLD, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Positive changes were observed in relation to the lipid profile.
The study demonstrated the positive effect of the drug UDCA (Ursofalk) on reducing the degree of liver steatosis, on carbohydrate, lipid metabolism, body weight in patients with DM in combination with NAFLD.
Abstract
The technology of creating patterned flexible electrodes based on single-walled carbon nanotubes and polydimethylsiloxane was demonstrated in this paper. A series of experiments were carried ...out to study whether the percolation affects the conductivity of patterned SWCNT layers. It was found that in patterns with the linewidth above 1 μm and the cell size above 50 μm the random character of SWCNT networks may be neglected. The impact of bending on the grid conductivity was studied. We observed a very moderate increase of resistance below 5% under the strain up to 4 %, which is comparable with the previous results for continuous SWCNT layers and shows the improvement in comparison with the previous reports on patterned SWCNT layers.
