Human resources (HR) is one of the factors that is very important for the company. HR is also a key that determines the development of the company. In essence, human resources in the form of people ...employed in an organization as a mobilizer, thinker and planner to achieve organizational goals. The availability of qualified and professional human resources will improve the quality of company performance. This study discusses about the influence of Leader Member Exchange, Employee Performance, Employee Job Satisfaction, Employee Career Level, Employee Performance, Organizational Commitment. This research is a quantitative study using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) as a test tool in knowing the effect of various internal and external factors. The approach used in this research is the Variance Based SEM approach. The result of this study is that Employee Performance have positive and significant impact to each of the variables used.
The availability of in vitro cell culture derived from local breed provides an opportunity for tackling problems related to the preservation of its genetic materials and can potentially be applied ...for downstream in vitro-based studies. Here, we established primary fibroblast cell culture from Pelung chicken, then explored its growth characteristic and potential uses for wound healing assay and cytotoxicity tests of medicinal bioactive compounds. Fibroblast cells were isolated from embryonic skin tissue and maintained in DMEM-FBS media. Wound healing assay was performed by creating a "scratch" in the cell monolayer, followed by capturing periodic images of migrating cells. Cell viability was measured using trypan blue dye exclusion assay in various doses of Centella asiatica L. leaf extract. Cells outgrowth from the skin explant revealed a typical morphology of fibroblast-like cells that reached maximum growth at 7.95 × 104 cells/cm2 after 5 days. With continuous passage, the population of the cells became more homogeneous and population doubling time increased. In the wound healing assay, cells migrated towards the wound area within 24 hours, suggesting their ability to normally respond to chemical cues. In cytotoxicity test, cells' viability corresponded in a dose-dependent manner with the amount of C. asiatica extract tested into the culture.
The neutron flux induced by radioactivity at the Gran Sasso underground laboratory is revisited. We have performed calculations and Monte Carlo simulations; the results offer an independent check to ...the available experimental data reported by different authors, which vary rather widely. This study gives detailed information on the expected spectrum and on the variability of the neutron flux due to possible variations of the water content of the environment.
A type I supemovae (SN Ia) is an exploding white dwarf, whose mass exceeds Chandrasekar limit (1.44 solar mass). If a white dwarf is in a binary system, it may accrete matter from the companion, ...resulting in an excess mass that cannot be balanced by the pressure of degenerated electrons in the core. SNe Ia are highly luminous objects, that they are visible from very high distances. After some corrections (stretch (s), colour (c), K-corrections, etc.), the variations in the light curves of SNe Ia can be suppressed to be no more than 10%. Their high luminosity and almost uniform intrinsic brightness at the peak light, i.e. MB ∼ -19, make SNe Ia ideal standard candle. Because of their visibility from large distances, SNe Ia can be employed as a cosmological measuring tool. It was analysis of SNe Ia data that indicated for the first time, that the universe is not only expanding, but also accelerating. This work analyzed a compilation of SNe Ia data to determine several cosmological parameters (H0, Ωm, Ωa, and w). It can be concluded from the analysis, that our universe is a flat, dark energy dominated universe, and that the cosmological constant A is a suitable candidate for dark energy.
In the standard model neutrinos consist of three species (flavors) and are massless. However, solar neutrino problem that was solved by neutrino oscillations requires that neutrinos have non-zero ...masses. Another support for non-zero neutrino masses comes from kinematic experiments. Oscillation experiments give rise to a further problem regarding the order of neutrino masses, known as the neutrino mass hierarchy problem, i.e. whether the hierarchy is normal or inverted. On cosmological scales, massive neutrinos affect Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) and Large Scale Structure (LSS) formation. The impact of massive neutrinos is imprinted in the power spectrum of CMB, and in the LSS matter power spectrum as well. Since neutrinos affect events in the universe, it is possible to constrain neutrino properties based on cosmological observations. This work is aiming at constraining neutrino total mass from cosmological observations in the two hierarchy scenarios, i.e. normal and inverted hierarchies, and also at determining which neutrino mass hierarchy is favoured by cosmological observations. To constrain neutrino total mass we employed CosmoMC and performed Bayesian analysis with MCMC algorithm, while neutrino mass hierarchy was determined based on Bayes factors, in which likelihoods of the two hierarchy scenarios were compared. In addition, neutrino individual masses were estimated by combining results of oscillation experiments. Depending on the dataset used, different total mass constraints were obtained. The tightest constraint comes from a combination of CMB + LSS + BAO + Supernova data, i.e. Σmv < 0.183 eV (normal hierarchy) and Σmv < 0.188 eV (inverted hierarchy) with 95% C.L. The Bayes factors analysis prefers normal hierarchy, although with weak evidence.
The aim of research to add variety of technology-based learning media for elementary school students and knowing the effect of using Video Stop Motion technology on student awareness about hygiene ...and environmental health. The Research and Development (R&D) study was used in this research by adapting the ADDIE model (Analysis-Design-Develop-Implement-Evaluate). This research start from analysis step to Implement step from ADDIE model. The object of this research is Video Stop Motion technology while the subject of this research is the first-grade students of SD Labschool UPI Purwakarta Campus. Interviews and oral tests were used to collect the data. Data analysis techniques were carried out by qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that: Stop Motion Video technology can be a technology-based learning media for elementary school students and there is the influence of using Video Stop Motion technology on students' awareness of hygiene and environmental health.
In this work we developed a system to automate the processes of data reduction and analysis of galaxy clusters observed by Chandra X-ray satellite. This automation enables generation of temperature ...and gas density profiles from raw data of multiple observations, making data reduction and analysis easier and faster. The automation script uses a standard reducing data process from Chandra, extracts spectrum from data, and simultaneously fits the spectra of multiple observations while performing the deprojection process. We show some outputs of the reduction and analysis to demonstrate how the automation works.
Ultraluminous X-ray sources (ULXs) are defined as non-nuclear point-source objects with apparent X-ray luminosities, Lx > 2×1039 erg s-1, in the 0.3-8 keV band. ULXs are often explained using two ...different scenarios, (1) ULXs as intermediate mass black hole (IMBH) with sub-Eddington accretion and (2) ULXs as stellar mass black hole with super-Eddington accretion. There are two methods that commonly used to study the characteristics of ULXs. One method is to study the X-ray spectra of ULXs, to determine the characteristics of their accretion flows from fitting their spectra using available spectral models. The other method is to investigate how population of ULXs correlate with their environment, in this case their host galaxies. Our goal is to find correlation between ULXs and the properties of its host galaxies, for example with Star Formation Rate (SFR), mass and morphology. From this study we found a positive correlation between ULXs number and SFR. From X-ray luminosity function, we found upper limit of black holes mass that power ULXs is about 100 M .
