Many luminescent stimuli responsive materials are based on fluorescence emission, while stimuli-responsive room temperature phosphorescent materials are less explored. Here, we show a kind of ...stimulus-responsive room temperature phosphorescence materials by the covalent linkage of phosphorescent chromophore of arylboronic acid and polymer matrix of poly(vinylalcohol). Attributed to the rigid environment offered from hydrogen bond and B-O covalent bond between arylboronic acid and poly(vinylalcohol), the yielded polymer film exhibits ultralong room temperature phosphorescence with lifetime of 2.43 s and phosphorescence quantum yield of 7.51%. Interestingly, the RTP property of this film is sensitive to the water and heat stimuli, because water could destroy the hydrogen bonds between adjacent poly(vinylalcohol) polymers, then changing the rigidity of this system. Furthermore, by introducing another two fluorescent dyes to this system, the color of afterglow with stimulus response effect could be adjusted from blue to green to orange through triplet-to-singlet Förster-resonance energy-transfer. Finally, due to the water/heat-sensitive, multicolor and completely aqueous processable feature for these three afterglow hybrids, they are successfully applied in multifunctional ink for anti-counterfeit, screen printing and fingerprint record.
W-type hexaferrites were discovered in the 1950s and are of interest for their potential applications. In this context, many researchers have conducted studies on the partial substitution of Fe sites ...in order to modify their electric and magnetic properties. In this study, W-type SrYb hexaferrites using Al3+ as substitutes for Fe3+ sites with the nominal composition Sr0.85Yb0.15Zn1.5Co0.5AlxFe16−xO27 (0.00 ≤ x ≤ 1.25) were successfully synthesized via the two-step calcination method. The microstructures, spectral bands of characteristic functional groups, morphologies, and magnetic parameters of the prepared samples were characterized using XRD, FTIR, SEM, EDX, and VSM. The XRD results showed that, compared with the standard patterns for the W-type hexaferrite, the W-type SrYb hexaferrites with the Al content (x) of 0.00 ≤ x ≤ 1.25 were a single-W-type hexaferrite phase. SEM images showed the flakes and hexagonal grains of W-type hexaferrites with various Al content (x). The saturation magnetization (Ms) and magneton number (nB) decreased with Al content (x) from 0.00 to 1.25. The remanent magnetization (Mr) and coercivity (Hc) decreased with Al content (x) from 0.00 to 0.25. Additionally, when the Al content (x) ≥ 0.25, Mr and Hc increased with the increase in the Al content (x). The magnetic anisotropy field (Ha) and first anisotropy constant (K1) increased with the Al content (x) increasing from 0.00 to 1.25. Al-substituted W-type SrYb hexaferrites with soft magnetic behavior, high Ms, and lower Hc may be used as microwave-absorbing materials.
The circular economy model is an important way to control the pollution of livestock and poultry. Based on the perspective of the circular industrial chain, the stakeholders of enterprises, ...governments, and consumers in the resource treatment of livestock and poultry wastes are incorporated into an evolutionary game system to explore the interaction results between network cooperation subjects in the circular economy. This provides scientific management policy support for the stable operation of the circular model and the realization of livestock and poultry pollution control. We examine the mutual influence of the behavior and the game stability strategy of enterprises, governments, and consumers on the circular economy, and explore the stable operation of the model to achieve pollution control. Under certain conditions, the evolutionary stability strategy of the behavior game is composed of four pure strategy combinations. Among them, the optimal evolutionary stability strategy indicates that the government does not regulate the circular economy, and that enterprises and consumers support the circular economy. With this behavioral strategy, the circular economy can help contain the pollution control of livestock and poultry. Achieving pollution control by a circular economy depends on a market mechanism, which affects the cost-effectiveness of the circular model through price mechanisms. The price of the resource product affects consumers’ purchase decisions, which in turn dictates how enterprises adopt the circular economy model. The carbon trading price affects the benefit of carbon emission reduction, and the price of raw materials and equipment affect the implementation cost of the model.

To explore the multiple mediating effect of empathy and communication ability on nursing students' emotional intelligence and caring ability.
A case study was conducted by examining a sample of 1,165 nursing students from a junior college in Anhui, China. The multidimensional scales, and a self-designed demographic characteristics questionnaire were utilized. Path relationships and mutual effects were tested using structural equation modeling (SEM).
Emotional intelligence, empathy, and communication ability were found to positively affect nursing students' caring ability, as well as positive interrelationships with one another (standardized estimate = 0.312-0.584,
< 0.001). Communication ability and empathy play an important role in mediating the association between emotional intelligence and caring ability, and the effect sizes are 0.169 and 0.121, respectively, while the effect value of empathy and communication ability in emotional intelligence and caring ability was 0.034, which showed partial mediation of the association. The indirect effect of the structural equation was 77.14%.
The chain mediating role of empathy and communication ability in emotional intelligence and caring ability is explored, which not only enrichis previous studies, but also reveals the mechanism of emotional intelligence's influence on caring ability. It is essential to continuously improve nursing students' caring ability. From the perspective of nursing educators, they need to develop targeted approaches to help the nursing student improve their emotional intelligence, empathy, and communication skills, further enhancing their caring ability.

This is first report on Nd-NbZn co-substituted M-type Ca-Sr hexaferrites with nominal compositions Ca0.4Sr0.6-xNdxFe12.0-x(Nb0.5Zn0.5)xO19 (x = 0.00–0.32) fabricated by the conventional solid-state ...reaction method. X-ray diffractometer (XRD), Fourier transformer infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), physical property measurement system-vibrating sample magnetometer (PPMS-VSM) were employed to characterize M-type calcium-strontium hexaferrites. XRD patterns of the hexaferrites with Nd-NbZn content (x) of 0.00 ≤ x ≤ 0.16 showed the single M-type hexaferrite phase. However, for the hexaferrites with Nd-NbZn content (x) ≥ 0.24, the impurity phase (α-Fe2O3) was observed. FT-IR frequency bands in the range (592–613) cm−1 and (430–470) cm−1 corresponded to the formation of tetrahedral and octahedral clusters of metal oxides in the hexaferrites, respectively. FE-SEM micrographs showed that the grains were platelet-like shapes. The saturation magnetization (Ms) and magneton number (nB) decreased with increasing Nd-NbZn content (x) from 0.00 to 0.32. The remanent magnetization (Mr) first increased with Nd-NbZn content (x) from 0.00 to 0.08, and then decreased when Nd-NbZn content (x) ≥ 0.08. The Mr/Ms ratio, coercivity (Hc) and magnetic anisotropy field (Ha) increased with increasing Nd-NbZn content (x) from 0.00 to 0.32. First anisotropy constant (K1) first slightly increased with Nd-NbZn content (x) from 0.00 to 0.08, and then decreased when Nd-NbZn content (x) ≥ 0.08.

X-ray diffraction was employed to determine the phase compositions of the magnetic powders. There is a single magnetoplumbite phase in the magnetic powders with the substitution of La (0.05 ≤ x ≤ 0.15) and Co (0.04 ≤ y ≤ 0.12) contents. For the magnetic powders containing La (x ≥ 0.20) and Co (y ≥ 0.16), magnetic impurities begin to appear in the structure. A field emission scanning electron microscope was used to characterize the micrographs of the magnets. The magnets have formed hexagonal structures. Magnetic properties of the magnets were measured by a magnetic properties test instrument. The remanence continuously increases with increasing dopant contents. Whereas, the magnetic induction coercivity, intrinsic coercivity and maximum energy product for the magnets first increases and then decreases with an increase in the La–Co contents.

Soil moisture (SM) is a comprehensive variable of terrestrial ecosystems. However, the global SM trend in recent decades and the future is uncertain, and the main factors causing soil drying and wetting are not fully understood. This study using Extended Triple Collation, Mann-Kendall test, Theil-Sen estimate, Hurst exponent, Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition and pertinent methods found that 1) at the pixel scale, the long-term daily SM data from ERA-Interim was closest to the true SM compared with ESA CCI and GLDAS; 2) the global average SM in 1979–2017 decreased remarkably and the declining trend accelerated in 2001–2017; 3) soil drying was observed in seven major land covers; among which, urban area has the largest area proportion of soil drying, about 80%; 4) the strong persistence of SM trend indicates that the global future soil will continuously be dominated by a drying trend; 5) overall, 65.1% of the global soil drying trend was attributed to temperature rising, whereas 82% of the wetting trend was affected by the combined action of temperature, precipitation, and NDVI. Under global warming, the soil drying area expanded at a rate of 1% yr−1 in 1979–2017 and the global SM will keep diminishing in the next years, which may increase the risks of extreme heatwaves, water resources shortage, land degradation, and other eco-environmental problems.
The aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) is a cytosolic receptor which is involved in diverse cellular events in humans. The most well-characterized function of AHR is its ability to upregulate gene ...transcription after exposure to its ligands, such as environmental toxicants, dietary antioxidants, drugs, and endogenous ligands. The cellular content of AHR is partly controlled by its degradation via the ubiquitin–proteasome system and the lysosome-dependent autophagy. We used human cervical cancer (HeLa) cells to investigate how AHR undergoes protein degradation and how its activity is modulated. Since the glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta (GSK3β)-mediated phosphorylation can trigger protein degradation and substrates of GSK3β contain stretches of serine/threonine residues which can be found in AHR, we examined whether degradation and activity of AHR can be controlled by GSK3β. We observed that AHR undergoes the GSK3β-dependent, LC3-mediated lysosomal degradation without ligand treatment. The AHR can be phosphorylated in a GSK3β-dependent manner at three putative sites (S436/S440/S444, S689/S693/T697, and S723/S727/T731), which leads to lysosomal degradation of the AHR protein. Inhibition of the GSK3β activity suppresses the ligand-activated transcription of an AHR target gene in HeLa, human liver cancer (Hep3B), and human breast cancer (MCF-7) cells. Collectively, our findings support that phosphorylation of AHR by GSK3β is essential for the optimal activation of its target gene transcription and this phosphorylation may partake as an “off” switch by subjecting the receptor to lysosomal degradation.
